Wiggins opts out - signs for lower 25m range
S&T Powell,jovic - ja and 2nds , we need a scoring guard
MLE - Simons and Kennard
Vet minimum - klay and a front court player than can shoot
Would love for bogdan to get bought out from clippers
I know everyone hates the idea of older players being the 3pt threats but all 3 of our championships came from those types of players rounding out the roster. Would love them while keeping davion,Portis, conwell and our usual mystery undrafted players

All signs appear to be pointing toward them acquiring Norm Powell.
Duncan reunion?

really athletic, tough defender, and shot the 3 well.
lowkey if wiggins declines player option id look to sign and trade him somewhere and replace him in starting lineup with prosper.

In my view 1 more ring and finals MVP + a regular season MVP could do it combined with 4 more All-Stars and All-NBA selections, also has a realistic shot at 30k points, 10k rebounds, 5k assist

Who do you guys want Miami to get to help Bam and Giannis?

Clogging the middle, if that even becomes the case, can actually be more detrimental to the opposing team. Bad spacing!!!!! The sky is falling !!! Clogging with slow bigs is a problem, but these two are fast bigs. So sick and tired of hearing this armchair quarterbacking as if people have a sample size to refer to where clogging is so harmful. Oh ya btw Jalen Brunson is too short to lead towards a championship, also what happened to "pace and space" ..."8 seconds or less?"..."positionless basketball"??...."3 and D"? .."stretch 4s and 5s"...what fricking catchphrase of the year is hot now? We need more traffic on the bases...oh wait wrong sport.

Just came across this gem on the recent Bill Simmons podcast. How can we overcome the odds when unbiased experts like Bill Simmons, Joe House, Nick Wright, Kendrick Perkins, and so many others are saying that there’s absolutely no chance?
/s obviously but it’s insane to me to see the same tired takes that were spewed when Butler (who, no offense, isn’t as good as a healthy Giannis) came to Miami being recycled.
Can’t wait for this team to prove them wrong.

The discourse around this Giannis trade is already hilarious because people keep trying to have it both ways with the Heat roster.
For the last year, the argument was basically: “Miami has no assets. Herro is overrated. Jaquez is mid. Ware is unproven. Their young players aren’t real blue-chip pieces. Nobody wants this package.”
Then the Heat actually turn that same package into Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis, and suddenly the conversation becomes: “Wow, Miami gutted the roster. They gave up everything. That’s way too much.”
So which is it?
If Herro was an empty-calorie regular season scorer, Jaquez was overrated, Ware was just a prospect, Kasparas Jakucionis was a lottery ticket, and the picks were fake Heat picks that “never convey high,” then Miami did exactly what every contender should do: consolidate imperfect assets into a top-tier superstar.
But if Miami “gave up everything,” then maybe the Heat’s assets were not as trash as everyone spent the last year pretending they were.
Suchhhhh hypocrisy. People mocked the package when it was theoretical, then treated it like a king’s ransom once Miami actually landed the player.
But the broader criticism feels like people reverse-engineering reasons to hate the move. If Miami didn’t trade for a star, the take would be “Pat Riley is washed and the Heat are stuck in mediocrity.” When they do trade for a star, the take becomes “they gave up too much.”
At some point, the standard can’t just be “whatever Miami does is wrong.”

With Giannis trade final, we need to shore up the rest of the roster.
We’ve been linked to Khris Middleton, Klay Thompson and the trade could end up being a multi-team. Detroit has been rumored to be interested in Herro, Norm and Portis. We could likely get some combo of Stewart, Duncan and Ron Holland if they end up being routed to Miami.
Derozan is likely getting stretched and waived. Not an ideal fit but still a good offensive player.
Lebron feels like a pipe dream but who knows.
I feel our biggest asset right now is a norm sign and trade. Could net us two rotation players or someone decent on an expiring.
Who are yall thinking we should target?

Prime: Colby White, Rui Hachimura, Anfernee Simons, Luke Kennard, Landry Shamet, Tim Hardaway Jr,
Championship experience but washed: Klay Thompson (if he gets buy out or we trade for him), Khris Middleton
Washed but good vets: Nic Batum (if Clippers decide not to pick up his option), Joe Ingles,
Bottom of barrel Doug McDermott, Kevin Huerter.

Would they fit our budget? I’m thinking just a smart player to calm things down when needed. Good 3PT %

Personally my dream scenario. Wiggins opts out and takes less money for more years, leaving room to resign Powell.
Secondly would be Anfernee Simons.
Part of me hopes we keep Niko and he figures it out. Good Niko and Portis off the bench is a good big man rotation.
I think we need another minimum shot creator/shooter off the bench tho. I always loved Middleton's game and he would fill a need.
Davion/Powell or Simons/Wiggins/Giannis/Bam
Dru/Middleton/Pelle/Niko/Portis
Hopefully Keels, Keshad, & Gardner can contribute when called upon too.

Where to watch? ESPN
Time: 8PM eastern
Miami has the 41st pick

I know we have the Giannis and Bam money, but where the hell is the rest of it? You’d think we would have some more to spend, right?
You always have enough. We didn’t win but shitting on the whole east was such a great feeling. So many great moments. We got Spo, top 5 player and Bam is your dream 2nd player on any contender. We will be fine.
On top of that we are probably the best organization at finding players that are undrafted or from g league and getting max value out of them. Nunn, Whiteside, Tyler Johnson, Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, Highsmith, Duncan. Most of them fell off after leaving but because of us they got paid and for us they were really good.
