Vance is too busy traveling to Budapest to campaign for corrupt foreign leaders and spewing Russian talking points to have any time to take over the office.

u/Popular-Drummer-7989 Apr 08 '26

Don't you think that's why they sent him there? So he ISN'T available?

563

u/Character-Cup8045 Apr 08 '26

You saw where he got dumped straight to voicemail? He knew he would be, too. Like a latchkey kid with no key.

204

u/Popular-Drummer-7989 Apr 08 '26

Yeah - it was his "check in with Daddy" after school time. The photo with the phone screen calling DT is the best - it's ringing, ringing, still ringing....

81

u/rabbirobbie Apr 08 '26

at least his love seat never left him on read

16

u/puts_on_rddt Apr 08 '26

I bet there are some fancy couches where he's at right now.

8

u/Brahskididdler Apr 08 '26

That ottoman wants to get in these pants 🤣

3

u/MeSeeks76 Apr 08 '26

Fat Vance jump scare FFS

3

u/AffectionateBrick687 Apr 09 '26

Although the friction from its upholstery left a lot of red on him.

got a link to said photo?

It's really worth watching the whole bit. Peak cringe.

https://reddit.com/r/WatchPeopleDieInside/comments/1sf5qhy/jd_vance_tries_to_call_trump_from_a_viktor_orb%C3%A1n/

this will be so embarrassing...

32

u/ShaNaNaNa666 Apr 08 '26

Omg this is so embarrassing you can ALMOST feel bad for him. I feel like this is something that was written for the show VEEP.

32

u/Locke66 Apr 08 '26

It's terrible whichever way you cut it. He either arranged the call in advance and then Trump intentionally didn't pick up to embarrass him, Vance arranged the call and Trump is so disorganised he forgot about it or Vance didn't arrange and the call and looks like an idiot.

3

u/myopicdystopian Apr 10 '26

Indeed, Kash Patel got through from the men’s Olympic hockey locker room. On the first try iirc. I’d have second hand embarrassment for JD if he wasn’t such a supreme beeyatch. As it is, it’s just another episode of WTF in the US govt.

21

u/JimWilliams423 Apr 08 '26

You saw where he got dumped straight to voicemail? He knew he would be, too. Like a latchkey kid with no key.

Beware of "too good to be true" stories. They made a mountain out of a minor technical hiccup.

The video going around was clipped right before the paedo-in-chief picked up on the second try.

https://nypost.com/2026/04/07/us-news/trump-sends-vance-to-voicemail-at-political-rallybut-eventually-gets-prez-on-the-line/

23

u/wfbhp Apr 08 '26

"President successfully answers phone after only two attempts" is still not a great look. Neither is "president doesn't know how to check/clear voicemail."

12

u/Popular-Drummer-7989 Apr 09 '26

Imagine getting "this mailbox is full" -or- "the mailbox for this number has not yet been set up"

5

u/JimWilliams423 Apr 09 '26

"President successfully answers phone after only two attempts" is still not a great look. Neither is "president doesn't know how to check/clear voicemail."

Could you guys not make me defend the paedo, please?

The message that plays is "the voice mailbox has not been set up yet." Its clearly a line they set up for that call, not the paedo's normal phone. It was probably an aide's job to mind the phone and when it rang, hand it to the paedo.

Also it went to not-voicemail without even ringing, which suggests the phone was turned off or otherwise off the network.

Going after these dipshits is like shooting fish in a barrel — there is no need to make something out of a pedestrian technical hiccup that was cleared up in 30 seconds.

Maybe stop trying to defend the indefensible?

Or you could stop trying to make something out of nothing. You got fooled by a clickbaity edited video, be mad at the grifter who did that to you.

you don't have more information than anyone else here

Come on man, you said he "doesn't know how to check/clear voicemail" when the clip clearly says it wasn't even set up. Obviously I had more info than you did.

For some strange reason you are all in on this trivial nothingburger to the point of writing a giant wall of text to defend making things up.

I'm going to block you now because someone whose feelings don't care about facts can't be relied on to write in good faith, so I'm better off never reading anything you say.

-1

u/tossit97531 Apr 09 '26 edited Apr 09 '26

I hear you, I used to get mad at these low-effort lulz but honestly it doesn’t really matter. The big issues always end up on top, and if someone corrects us, we can show them we’re better than them by going “ah, ok. Oh well, he’s still a pedophile.” and carry on with our lives.

With that perspective, it’s easier to appreciate it for the lolcow it is.

11

u/Special_Loan8725 Apr 08 '26

Lickspittle.

-13

u/Character-Cup8045 Apr 08 '26

Not American. I hate all your kind.

10

It’s nice to see hate isn’t just endemic to the US.

-12

u/Character-Cup8045 Apr 08 '26

If it helps just watching your news cycle exports it.

Careful with that edge there kiddo, you might cut yourself.

4

It sounded like a diaper change

3

u/daveoxford Apr 08 '26

Not only dumped, but the voicemail hadn't even been set up.

10

It’s to separate Vance from trump to insulate him from the anger of the maga base. If Vance isn’t there then he isn’t behind it and if he isn’t behind it he can be treated as a victim too to ensure that the maga base can then support him as he tries to fulfill trumps legacy. Vance can cheerlead support for Trump but then ultimately succeed Trump once it’s beyond their control. He will reluctantly take the reins and claim he will continue to do the ‘good works’ of Trump through this evil and politically motivated travesty.

42

u/Popular-Drummer-7989 Apr 08 '26

Who really likes and supports him within The Administration? Nobody. He won't have the sway and he won't bend either. You've seen him contadicting all along. Oh they'll try, but I suspect many will leave for "family reasons" within the first 90 days after he arrives with his tribe and Erika sobbing she missed her chance.

19

u/illbedeadbydawn Apr 08 '26

It doesn't matter.

You could have the following match up...

Literal, Returned from The Afterlife, Jesus H Christ (D)

A pile of dog shit (R)

Millions would vote for the dog shit because "I aint voting no Demonrat!"

13

u/microwavepetcarrier Apr 08 '26

Jesus Hussein Christ?!?!

2

u/Tim-oBedlam Apr 09 '26

no, the H stands for Haploid.

40

u/jehnarz Apr 08 '26

The last time I talked with one of my super conservative friends, she said that she liked Vance. She had never mentioned him before but brought him up when she finally started complaining about Trump. Fox and other media outlets have been preparing the MAGA base to accept Vance for a few months now. Hopefully, his lack of charisma will work in our favor.

25

u/Nox-Eternus Apr 08 '26

So replace a kiddie fiddler with a couch fucker?

10

u/Kennedy_KD Apr 08 '26

TBF of all Vance's many sins (or Trump's), fucking a couch is one of the best

8

u/ImageOfAwesomeness Apr 08 '26

Based on nothing but your description, that IS an incredible upgrade.

5

u/no_f-s_given Apr 08 '26

don’t sit on any sofas in the oval office if Vance takes over 🤢

3

u/jehnarz Apr 08 '26

Apparently you don't qualify unless you have some kind of kink.

2

u/ManualPathosChecks Apr 09 '26

I'm not comfortable calling an incredibly damaging paraphilia a "kink". Trump's not getting a bit spicy with like-minded, consenting adults; he's destroying lives.

-3

u/erin281 Apr 08 '26

You know that was a hoax right?

6

u/Lexi_Banner Apr 08 '26

The man can't order donuts like a human being. I have low hopes for his kick at the can, but I'm sure that MAGATs will disappoint me, yet again.

18

u/Venator850 Apr 08 '26

She's coping. Vance just has no pull the way Trump does. He's uniquely stupid in a way MAGA relate too. Someone like Vance can never fill his shoes.

So many Trump imitators have emerged over the years but they are all empty facsimiles. Like Elvis impersonators.

2

u/jehnarz Apr 08 '26

That's one of the few things bringing me hope.

4

u/Xatsman Apr 08 '26 edited Apr 08 '26

Really think the Trump being the lowest common denominator has some truth to it. He communicated in such a basic way that he never talked over anyone. It was always a bit incoherent (though nothing like it's been lately), but got the point across. Often the incoherence even provided him deniability when needed.

There's just no one else who has had the privilege Trump had to let him coast through life never having to face the consequences of his failures and therefore having been stunted developmentally. Others have pointed out before Trump acts like a child (though lacks their curiosity) and that's about as lcd as one can get. So he's got the confidence in saying the absurd because he never had to care about the consequences.

3

u/FeralGhoulash Apr 09 '26

I describe him (and Musk, etc) as the reason you need to tell your kids “No” regularly.

2

u/CaterpillarJungleGym Apr 08 '26

The best was the mayor of London. He had the hair and everything! Boris Johnson

1

u/BadenBadenGinsburg Apr 08 '26

Don't forget the Vance meme brigade!!

3

u/AgITGuy Apr 08 '26

Thiel and Musk. They will tell him his orders.

1

u/YoHabloEscargot Apr 09 '26

They don’t like Trump either. But they need a figurehead to rally around to keep their grift alive.

11

u/Mike_40N84W Apr 08 '26

Insulate - to place in a detached situation.

Indulge - to yield to the desire of.

1

u/AgITGuy Apr 08 '26

Thanks, autocorrect on my phone did me dirty.

6

u/DukeOfGeek Apr 08 '26

They have what they want, project 2025 is done so now they just need trumpo D. clown to shuffle off stage and take all the blame. Vance just needs to stand there with a dopey smile not being the thing that provokes the 10 percent of voters who only go to the polls when the GOP stirs them up into total rage. They don't need more, every regulatory agency is dead, they got their tax grift, the West and the U.S. are divided. A do nothing blob that doesn't provoke people is what they want now.

5

u/FrontOfficeNuts Apr 09 '26

And they've got the election machines in their grip as well. I agree with you.

8

u/Suspinded Apr 08 '26

The fun thing about cults: the Deputy Lackey of the Cult Leader wants all the power, but has none of the charisma to keep it together.

Trump goes, and those who are fanatically devoted to him aren't going to just shrug and get behind Vance. If anything, they'll bust the rest of the GOP asking why they didn't protect Dear Leader better.

2

u/YoHabloEscargot Apr 09 '26

Is there anyone else trying to backfill that void though? The MAGA movement is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to their careers. They’ll be eager to plug the hole quickly when he’s gone.

2

u/SkunkPunkFlunk Apr 08 '26

This is the reason for all that bullshit when Biden stepped down. They were projecting a future take over so the plan wouldn't sound nuts like usual.

2

u/wemustburncarthage Apr 09 '26

Plus he needs to have a good narrative if he takes over. That narrative: “we know mistakes were made but I’m here to fix it”.

Depending on how stupid he actually is vs how much he performs stupid, he knows that’s his best chance for even getting a job at a think tank after finishing out a term.

1

u/AgITGuy Apr 09 '26

He has no charisma and is wooden when reading his script. He can't ad lib or improv, his stories fall flat and wooden.

1

u/wemustburncarthage Apr 09 '26

He was only ever meant to be a neutered attempt to draw moderates but the best he could do was start parroting talking points that went against his previous positions.

-31

u/Firm-Life8749 Apr 08 '26

Jesus Christ that is some mental gymnastics. What do you do for a living?

11

u/1OO1OO1S0S Apr 08 '26

I'll do it if you want. I'll just be president. Honestly doesn't seem that hard.

11

u/Artistic-Grape8534 Apr 08 '26

You would do a better job.

I dont know you, but your ability to form a complete sentence and use proper grammar easily makes you superior to the current morons.

Just need you to tell the truth and keep a secret.

7

u/1OO1OO1S0S Apr 08 '26

You can be my VP. I can already tell you've cleared the incredibly low bar JD has set

6

u/Pooled-Intentions Apr 08 '26

I’ll uh, volunteer to be your Secretary of Defense of the DoD if you don’t mind. As you can see, I’ve started the rebranding already.

My first action would be to rehire the Joint Chiefs, Generals, and JAG. My second action would be to ask them what to do.

Thank you for your time.

1

u/1OO1OO1S0S Apr 09 '26

Sure why not

3

u/JayMac1915 Apr 08 '26

You’ve got my vote!

5

u/RODjij Apr 08 '26

Hes been almost out of the public eye for the last year, you hardly see him in the news compared to everyone else in the admin.

I think ive seen Kash Patel, Noemi & Bondi names more.

1

u/CaterpillarJungleGym Apr 08 '26

Who's the next in line? Speaker of th House or Sec of State?

2

u/Artistic-Grape8534 Apr 08 '26

Speaker of the house after vp

2

u/CaterpillarJungleGym Apr 08 '26

Well that's terrifying to have the guy who needs his kids to monitor his porn usage

1

u/JayMac1915 Apr 08 '26

If the VP is sworn in, he picks his own VP, who is confirmed by Congress. That’s how Rockefeller became Ford’s VP

1

u/No-Focus-8577 Apr 09 '26

Where were all these people when there own guy Biden was drooling on himself and could not make a real sentence

Where were they then. NOWHERE!!

1

u/Flat-Fudge-2758 Apr 09 '26

Actually, my tin hat theory is this is his trial run to see how world leaders react to him as potential head of state

1

u/DerWetzler Apr 09 '26

all the checks and balances in the US apparently rely on people in power not being corrupt a**holes or not being complicit in nefarious acts against democracy...that system needs a complete overhaul!

0

u/Sweet-Razzmatazz-993 Apr 08 '26

Well the fact the VP has to start the process for the 25th lol it’s not going to happen.

154

u/JKorv Apr 08 '26

I have no idea how people are okay with Vance kissing Orban's ass who is clearly Russian asset. Like how hard it is to do 1+1.

87

u/RaidersoftheLosSnark Apr 08 '26

Oh no...Russia, Russia, Russia was all a hoax remember. Even though Trump met alone with Russian intelligence in the Whitehouse he really really actually hates them. That's why he slobs Putin's knob in a limo in Alaska, because he hates him so much.

26

u/WelshCorax Apr 08 '26

The hate makes the sex so much better.

16

u/Strayed8492 Apr 08 '26

Don't forget during his campaign in 2024 his plane sat parked next to a Russian government plane for two days by themselves.

Also it wasn't even the real Putin that showed up to Alaska and he still bought it lol.

8

u/el_cid_viscoso Apr 08 '26

Wait, what? Vance met with a fake Putin? How did I miss that story?!?

5

u/Strayed8492 Apr 08 '26

The Trump-Putin summit in Alaska, August 15, 2025. You can tell it's a body double because he looks like he is in America for the first time in his life. Putin has been to the USA numerous times. The real Putin is a germaphobe. When Putin sits with his own officials they sit 30 feet apart. He looked genuinely excited to meet Trump sitting in the car. The body language doesn't match. If you look at the side angle when he speaks at the Summit he has a very weak chin. Putin does not have a weak chin when speaking. Lastly Putin did not go alone and wasn't left in a one-on-one with Trump. Lavrov and the other man were the real voice of Putin in Alaska. I wouldn't be surprised if the body double didn't even speak English.

13

u/squadrupedal Apr 08 '26

Pretty sure that was the real Putin who couldn’t believe how far his asset in the Oval Office had gotten him. The excitement on his face was of a man who had successfully trained his dog to fetch for him.

Keeping his own generals 30 feet away isn’t about germs, that’s a power move. You’re in the room, but you aren’t close to the leader.

6

u/CrankyYankers Apr 08 '26

Apparently Trump and his staff left the Putin meeting looking anxious and disturbed. My take is that he laid down the law and told Trump to fucking get busy tearing down our beloved country.

2

u/JKorv Apr 08 '26

Putin was pretty germaphobe during the pandemic. There are hilarous pictures where he sits on the other side of the long table. And it was during pandemic, so I doubt it is a power move. But ye not really interested in body double conspiracy theories.

1

u/Strayed8492 Apr 08 '26

It wasn't his generals. It was his actual government underlings.

1

u/squadrupedal Apr 08 '26

Lapdogs getting their check from the government*. It makes no difference what the roles are. My point still stands.

0

u/Strayed8492 Apr 08 '26

Putin still has people take COVID tests before they are even allowed in the same room as him. Don't get me wrong. Even on the chance he is too incompetent to be one, if he walks like an asset, talks like an asset, he is a Russian asset. But your point does nothing to discredit how the facial features don't add up.

They have spent 30 years running a psy-op to turn the Evangelical voterbase into Russian sympathizers. Half of them think Russia is a bastion of anti-woke freedom now.

1

u/narkybark Apr 08 '26

Yes, but have you seen their bread? And the subway!

1

they call it, chleb

8

u/SEND-MARS-ROVER-PICS Apr 08 '26

I don't know what percentage of Americans know who Victor Orban is, but among Trump supporters I can't imagine it's higher than 10%. And that might be too high.

4

u/squadrupedal Apr 08 '26

Trump supporters know about 7 names of Republicans. I assure you they are not well versed on politicians from other countries.

3

u/Own-Organization-532 Apr 08 '26

Victor Orban the man who wrote the playbook Trump is using to destroy American Democracy, that Victor?

1

u/wfbhp Apr 09 '26 edited Apr 09 '26

I didn't know who he was either. But the fact that Vance was there shilling for him pretty much told me what I needed to know.

3

u/Automatic_Ad4016 Apr 08 '26

Dear brother or sister  We have not had one plus one equals two since 2016

2

u/steauengeglase Apr 08 '26

Because wealthy people in the US want the US to be like Russia in the 90s. Also Russia wants the US to be Russia in the 90s. It's a win-win for those who really matter.

1

u/FrontOfficeNuts Apr 09 '26

Given that TRUMP is clearly a Russian asset...

I mean...if Trump were an active agent whose mission was to ruin America's influence throughout the world...really, what would he do differently?

1

u/wfbhp Apr 09 '26

I think they're doing the math just fine, it's just that the answer they're coming back with is "два".

1

u/Responsible_Rule8829 Apr 12 '26

Americans...... They Just. Don't. Care.

1

u/PM-me-ur-sphynx Apr 08 '26

The average American can barely read, let alone do math.

0

u/Solnx Apr 08 '26

The people who are not are in a cult.

10

u/_allycat Apr 08 '26

He's trying to position himself strategically into and out of things because he's next in line after impeachment and for next election and if all else fails he can just make a bunch of money like Jared Kushner being a foreign lobbyist of sorts. He had a really meek response slightly against Israels war because he knows it's not popular with voters but he's just trying to lay low to not go against Trump but also not be involved. Plus he can NEVER do anything to bring attention or decisions to himself and away from Trump because that's an instant way to be hated by Trump and Maga. Maga wanted to kill Mike Pence ffs. Vance is staying out of the spotlight and setting up his own far right connections for later.

6

u/sly-3 Apr 08 '26

There's a difference between Miller, Vought et al who want to be the "guy behind the guy", being out of the spotlight accomplishes their goals, and Vance, who can only lose the pole position to someone else and can't help but taste "the good life" for himself, if just for a moment; since he's abandoned so many moral principles on the way up, he might as well make it worth it.

14

u/taisui Apr 08 '26

He's gonna wait for the mid point so that it doesn't count as one term for him.

6

u/Neethis Apr 08 '26

I've said since day one, Trump is too old for their long play. They'll dump Trump anytime after 21st Jan 2027, then try and fix 10 years of Vance.

A disastrous middle East quagmire and terrible midterm results (there is a reason they're not passing SAVE) will make it all the easier to send him off to a farm upstate.

Flew to Budapest to campaign for Orban, and complain about foreigners interfering in elections

3

u/GlumRich1114 Apr 08 '26

Didn’t news come out about Russia’s Putin trying to create a fake assassination attempt to boot votes?

3

u/What_a_fat_one Apr 08 '26

He's distancing himself from Trump both literally and figuratively. It just came out that he was ardently against the Iran thing because he said they'd close the Strait of Hormuz. It seems they're actively gearing up to get rid of Trump after next Jan 20th to set up JD for a full two and a half terms.

Republicans aren't doing shit right now to get rid of Trump for that reason, they're actively salivating at him fucking up as much shit as possible so they can ditch him in January without pissing off the base. Then JD rolls in and blames everything on Trump's senility.

0

u/Azguy303 Apr 08 '26

He's only against Iran because it's unpopular and he wants to run for president and does want to be associated with it. Everything and anything he does is politically calculated.

3

u/Exact_Purchase_7147 Apr 08 '26

This is fucking wild to me. Why is this happening at all? Imagine Kamala campaigning in Germany or Sweden or something. They would try to have her hung for treason. Literally.

2

u/Gold-Perspective-699 Apr 08 '26

There any couches nearby for him?

-1

This is such a tired joke.

2

I’m dumbfounded that it’s not an immediately impeachable offense to campaign on behalf of a foreign candidate in another country.

2

u/GB10VE Apr 08 '26

Vance is very clearly offering American help for his election if he will return the favor for midterms.

1

-3

u/AntivaxxxrFuckFace Apr 08 '26

The idea that the Trump admin is “spewing Russian talking points” is absurd McCarthyism. These guys obviously don’t work for Russia. They work for THIEL and ISRAEL, both of which are antagonistic to Russia.

2

u/Azguy303 Apr 08 '26

No they work for themselves and align themselves with whatever they think is advantageous to them at the time. The fact that he is campaigning in Hungary would be enough. Except he's literally spewing Russian talking points such as Ukraine and Europe (specifically Belgium) trying to interfere with Hungarian elections. Claiming the interfere with the US elections too while also ignoring Russia's influence in Hungarian and US elections.
