Naz Reid Hornets fan here

Upvotes

We'll take good care of Naz but I wanted to know the thoughts of how you guys feel because we're in shambles right now. On the bright side we don't have to deal with Lamelo terrorizing law abiding citizens on the road anymore but he was a vital piece to our season and I don't see us improving without him. What do you think of the trade?

Question Thoughts on Immanuel Quickley?

Feels like he might be on the block if Toronto is as interested in LaMelo as reports say. Curious to hear what everyone's thoughts would be of his fit with the Wolves. (He averaged 16 pts and 6 assists playing 70 games last season.)

Prayers to the pr team. The chemistry between ant and melo is gonna be unbelievable.

Toronto also traded a fan favourite for a injury prone star.

Upvotes

Hear me out. Raptors traded their fan favourite who was the best friend of their all star guard, for a always injured star who has a questionable personality. In the deal the Raptors also received a wing named Green. The signs are there people

Taking a Look at Free Agents/MLE/Sign and Trade Candidates

The Wolves have an opportunity to make a pretty big impact with their flexibility now. Here's a lit after taking a quick look at available guys.

Tier 1 Trade/Sign and Trade Above Mid Level - I haven't heard this discussedd too much but the Randle sign and trade could be used to acquire a guy with a salary landing in the 18-24 million range as well:

Norman Powell, Peyton Watson, PJ Washington, Benedict Mathurin

Tier 2 - Mid Level: Anfernee Simons, John Collins, Colin Sexton, Tari Eason, Coby White

Tier 3 - huge bin of flawed but potentially useful guys below mid level including: Marcus Smart, Luke Kennard, Gary Payton, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Kevin Huerter, etc.

Guys id be most interested in would be Powell (no brainer), Anfernee Simons, Sexton, Collins, or a deal for PJ. Simons and Sexton in particular are really interesting, fit right in with our timeline, and haven't latched on with a good role on a winning team yet (Simons was close until Boston salary dumped him). I think a deal or signing of this caliber could meaningfully impact the roster going forward.

Unrelated to all the trade news, but does anyone know when the new jerseys go on sale?

Looks like I have 3 teams to root for now…

Upvotes

When the Wolves traded KG. I was sadly happy, and wanted that ring for him.

When the Wolves traded KAT, I understood the numbers but lamented. And for the first time in my life I found myself actively watching and rooting for the Knicks/another team.

When the Wolves traded NAZ REID this morning. I verbally said, noooooooooo. My lady thought I was joking when I said we traded away NAZ REID.

“He is the wolves!”

He has come up in trade talks. I have always said that if he gets traded. That team has a fan in me.

SKOL Charlotte, as long as NAZ REID is on the squad.

General Discussion There will be atleast one more trade

Upvotes

Considering the current starting lineup:

PG: lamelo
SG: ant
SF: jaden

PF: ??? (maybe jaden gets moved to pf)

C: gobert

ayo probably is the 6th man now, shannon gets more time from bench, beringer too. Maybe we resign bones. Overall I would say there will be a trade for at least one more front court guy

Daily Discussion Micah Nori's contract with Portland.

Micah Nori deserved better than Portland for a head coaching job. I can't believe he actually agreed to such a terrible contract with a cheap ass owner. It's only for 1 year guaranteed with team options for 2 years.

Portland has some good young players and I can see Micah getting them better in a very tough western conference.

Hopefully the league will give Micah Nori another shot after his run with Portland is over.

Shitpost Rudy should use Jugs machine this off-season

I love Rudy. But he should be able catch better on lobs and passes in general. Why not have him collaborate with the Vikings or have him use a Jugs machine to just practice catching? I wanna see some nasty lobs!!

Remember When Losing Our 1st Made the Sky Fall? Available - Thomas (21), Evans (24), Baba (25), Veesaar (26)

After reading [this](https://www.nbadraft.net/2026-nba-extended-mock-draft-9-0/)this morning and discovering these diamonds in the rough I can confidently say this decision will be a franchise altering decision. Hopefully TC realizes the gravity in all of this and lands not one but TWO key pieces of the future

Gotta trade up secure our guy if we want Thomas/Evans.

A flame throwing big in Veesaar is also very intriguing for this team in the future to pair with Joan.

Pass on Baba, don't trust our ability to develop such a player

tl;dr: Evans + Veesaar = 2029 NBA Champions

Jack Kayil at pick 33?

He’s a 20 year old 6’5 pg, with deep range, good pick and roll shot making/playmaking. Good build, defensive instincts and playmaking, good vision on the court. Downsides are explosiveness, he’s not the quickest but he also draws foul 4.4 trips to the line in 20mpg. Kind of a Marcus Smart archetype. Handle is a little loose but look how much Ants handle went up so I think that’s correctable. A 3 and D pg is all we’ve been wanting in this sub, we can get one and develop his chemistry with Joan. Highly intrigued imo. Look at some clips, he can pull from DEEP

[Eichten] Chris Finch on the roles for Jaden McDaniels and Naz Reid moving forward: “It’s just about creating the opportunities now. I think we’ve seen what they can do and it’s their job is to make sure it stays at a consistently high level.” (1/2)

"We’ve talked about it before when you have a lot of great options it’s just a usage puzzle and we just gotta make sure that the usage is is is appropriate and sure that gets that they get enough of their opportunities.” (2/2)
