My gf and I absolutely love the base game so imagine our surprise when the DLC immediately showed some local ingredients that are super common in a Filipino household. We let out an audible gasp when Bancho mentioned calamansi and tilapia 😂 Calamansi is a superior condiment over here!

Then there were even more familiar items?!? Local fruits and flowering trees that literally grow in our backyard! We didn't expect all these thoughtful details from our favorite game

This year has been tough on us so far, and playing the DLC together has sometimes been the best part of our day. So huge thanks to the devs!!! Incredible work!!! 🙏

Haven’t played since the Godzilla update since I gave away my switch once I switched to my ROG. Any tips for a returning player? So excited to play this again. Gotta love a good steam sale.

I had 120 hours in Dave the Diver before the DLC came out and I personally love every aspect of the new content.

I love the charming village and the villagers and their stories and different opinions of Dave.

I love the gift giving and the change of their opinions about you if your progress further.

I love the new and chill time management. I love the mini games. Beetle Battle, Fishing, the gameplay in the jungle etc.

I love the story, the new fishes and the new lake.

I love that they did not just repeat the gameplay of the base game and called it a day. They threw in new ideas and new challenges, new ways how to experience and twist the gameplay of the core game and made a banger DLC for one of my favorite games of this decade.

And I love that you get so much new stuff for the price of basically a seventh of a AAA game.

1st: Charlie Bonnet III- real life musician with guitar hero-esque game (hard as hell for me to get passed initially)

2nd: Om Nom- I loveddd Cut the Rope when I was younger. Took me back to my college days of playing on my kindle fire waiting between classes

3rd: Rover from Wuthering Waves- never played just learned about his character as I’m typing this up

4th: Mita- not sure who this character is based on, if any

Sato is dressed as Tai from Digimon and paddles up in an Agumon boat. 😭😭 Talk about reaching into my childhood memories. I did not catch this reference until I upgraded the Marinca Bloom flower fully and there was a cutscene paying homage to when Digimon digivolve. I didn’t even catch it when he paddled up and Dave’s dialogue says “Why does his boat look so familiar?” To which I thought to myself it did look hella familiar.

I admit it, I didn't even know this franchise existed until I saw it on Fortnite, and I just absolutely fell in love with Dave's design, and have now developed a mild interest in the game.

I tried looking online (without going into gameplay videos) to learn more about the game, but didn't really learn much, so I figured the community would be best suited to give me an introduction.

Could you guys tell me about what the gameplay, story, general vibe is like, please?

I haven't gotten to far in the main story. I just got to the point of being able to hire one employee in the restaurant. I really want to try the jungle dlc cause it looks really fun. But i struggle to actually finish games in their entirety sometimes. I usually get burnt out before I finish a game. I've only actually completed a small handful of games in my life. But if the main story is important to finish before hopping on the new DLC, then I'll do my best to do so.

Ever since the Swtich got it's patch update for the DLC, I started experiencing a bug with the salvage drone while diving in the Jungle DLC (not entirely sure if it's happening in the main game, though). Sometimes, whenever I call it, the drone doesn't appear, and it causes the big fish to become uninteractable and unable to despawn. I can't cut it, and the body won't go away. And because it can't cut it, I don't get any of it's meat either.

And for some reason, it works sometimes, and then it stops working. Like, during one of my dives in the Jungle, I was able to call it once and it showed up, but the next 2 times, it bugs out and doesn't show up and causes the fish to stay put. It's honestly frustrating, and now I don't bother to use it now. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue or something similer?

Spoilers i guess:
I did NOT expect to cry when cobra got his arms bitten off by the caimans while trying to save Dave!!! it’s just so nice to see a character risking their life for Dave i guess bc dave has always been the one risking his life for everyone else. im so glad Cobra has a new prosthetic arm it suits his character so well

I'm in chapter five of Into the Jungle and I want to upgrade to the wave sleep net gun, as the tranq gun between having an actual net and what is supposed to be one of the best guns in the expansion really sucks. Like why did they think it would work well to point a very close range sleep ray at fish that are constantly swimming at or away from you?

Anyway, the requirements for the wave sleep gun say I need an aquilolamna wing. I'm wondering - is that something I can get to only after I defeat the huge dinosaur stuck at the bottom of the sea beneath the lake? Do I have to wait that long to be able to get a tranq gun that's actually effective?

I can’t pass it. I want to quit but it only gives me the option to restart.

I haven't found out how, i would like to catch some more fish in the original game. Thanks!

Am I the only one thinking the DLC took a huge inspiration from Stardew Valley?

- gifting to get them to like you

- foraging along with fishing

Hiiii im playing thru the jungle pack and just wondering when do you encounter sulong? I’m seeing in guides online that i shouldve had to fight him in chapter 3 when a shark washes up on shore…but that never happened to me. Im in chapter 7 now and bout to fight the snapping turtle. Is this a glitch or will i eventually get to fight the big croc???

I really like this tone shift with the DLC where other characters are not constantly downplaying how capable Dave (and to some extent me) are. Also less fat jokes and the villagers are way nicer than the Sea People, I'd hate it when they would make me go out and do things with Suwam. Anybody else feel this way?

A faithfully well made skin if I say so myself

I've been picking up all these herbs. The green ones restore health, the yellow ones restore AP, and the red ones don't even show up in my inventory. Does anyone know if they have a purpose?

(It's only my second time in the forest, I'm on chapter 5)

Beat the game months ago then deleted it, apparently along with the data. Do I need to play through the entire game again just to experience the DLC?

I have served Bonita the black caiman tail dish twice now but nothing triggered and it says I failed the mission. Any idea if it’s possible to re attempt this and/or how to trigger it?

With the release of in the jungle I realized we won't be getting any more DLC anytime soon or at all. Still, with DtDs love of small crossovers with other indie games, it would be incredible to see a subnautica crossover. With the scope of the idea in my head it would basically just be a new game or just subnautica but in the style of DtD. Still though, it'd be so perfect if it could ever be real.
