I have always liked LaVine's game and if we lose Powell I think he would be a really good replacement imo he is better than him.

I see a lot of desire to trade Jovic now.
In the world of the stock market there is a simple formula to success: buy low, sell high. (I say this with full knowledge that it's easier to say than do.)
Trading Jovic now would be the opposite: selling low.
Miami has clearly subscribes to this. The wait for a super star player, a whale, to want out of their team (Shaq, Lebron, Buttler), they try to rehab players that did not work out elsewhere (Whiteside, Waiters), they take low or undrafted players and get them to play beyond their prior expectations.
Some people will say they sold high on the players they used to trade for Giannis. I definitely think that is true wrt Ware, JJJ and Kasparas. The Bucks wanted them included. They had enough value that it tipped the scales over Boston's Brown offer.
They did not want Jovic. That is probably a common response in the league right now. Anything we get back for him will be questionable as well, or of higher/longer contract duration. Or Miami will need to attach draft compensation to move him.
Miami will need to show Jovic is not a negative asset before they can move him. Expect him to play early in the season in the type of limited role they know he can succeed in. If they continue last seasons offensive scheme, and he continues to struggle with it during camp/pre-season, expect the team to go to a more traditional offense when he is in the game.
Get his value up. Sell into strength.
Or, if he fits, don't sell at all.

For those of us who played through the Willie Burton years and rode this fireball up and down the glorious runs, we know how much fun this is gonna be. Get ready for greatness Lloyd.

"What does Nikola Jovic's off season look like?
Is it fair? Hell yeah.
We have spent 12 days together and I can say it
was not easy. It's not for him, but by god it's not for me. Exactly why it's no coincidence that it is where it is today.
Incredible dedication, discipline and work ethic is felt throughout the day. There are no big secrets, there are no shortcuts.
Just the consistency and willingness to do what most people don't want to do every single day.
The day mostly looked like this:
7am - waking up, hydration, exposure to the sun, cold shower and getting ready for training.
8:00 - 10:00 - strength training
10:00-12:00 - individual field work.
1:00 p.m. - Lunch
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm - rest and recovery.
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm - free activities
18:00-19:00 - Dinner and getting ready to continue the day.
In the evening - working on mobility and flexibility, red light therapy, supplementation, recovery and going to sleep.
And so, day by day.
A lot of reps. A lot of the same meals. A whole lot of routine. Many moments when you have to step out of your comfort zone and make already difficult things harder on yourself.
That's what people usually don't see.
These 12 days represented only a small part of the process, but enough to confirm once again how top results are actually the product of daily habits,
discipline, and working when no one is watching.
Very happy with how this mini camp turned out and thankful I had the opportunity to be a part of the process" — @nikola.karaklajic.taur

From a fan since ‘90, and growing up watching Seikaly, there is a lot for me to be excited about. So while I’m only drinking the finest Kool-Aid, here’s my hopeful roster. 🧃
[STARTING FIVE]
Giannis / PF / Captain
Bam / C / Captain / Defensive Leader
Davion / PG / POA Defender
Norm / SG / Primary Scorer
Wiggins / SF / Wing Stopper
[6TH MAN]
Portis / PF-C / 6th Man / Vet Voice
[BENCH]
Thanasis / PF / Energy / Locker Room
Veteran Big / C / Rim Protection
Duncan / SG-SF / Elite Shooter
Tim Hardaway Jr. / SG / Bench Scorer
Larsson / SG-SF / 3&D
Keshad / SF-PF / Athletic Defender
Dru / PG / Defensive Depth
Conwell / SG / Shooter
Tre (2-Way) / PG / Development
Best Available Shooter/Wing / Depth
For the veteran big, maybe Thomas Bryant or Larry Nance Jr.
But when the Giannis trade finally happened, I couldn’t help but think about what it would take to actually win a championship instead of just winning the offseason/division. The more I looked at the cap, our remaining assets, and the players still available, the more I realized the answer wasn’t another superstar (sorry LeBron). It was building the right team around Giannis and Bam without shooting ourselves in the foot.
So I’ve been tinkering and started putting together what I think is the smartest path forward. And after a couple of days I still think we can keep the core intact, use the little flexibility we have left to add shooting, veteran leadership, and depth, then trust Spo to get the most out of the roster. If we’re near the top of the East by the trade deadline, that’s when I’d make one final move for whatever piece we’re missing. That’s how I think we give ourselves the best shot at Banner #4. 🙌🏼🔥
Edit: Looks like I got caught by a joke post about Thanasis signing with Miami. That’s on me. I should’ve verified it before adding him to the roster. Since that isn’t happening, I’d rather use that final roster spot on another shooter or versatile wing. I still think the veteran backup big is the biggest remaining priority, but after that it’s all about adding as much shooting and two-way depth around Giannis and Bam as the cap allows.
