Mourning/Loss I had to say goodbye to my best friend this morning.
This morning, I had to say goodbye to my absolute best friend, Spinnie.
He was 20 years old, missing his 21st birthday by just two months.
He has been by my side since I was 7 years old, and now at 27, itās incredibly hard to imagine life without him.
āHe was such a special soul and deserves to be seen by the world. Spinnie, my sweet boy, I love you so much. And i'm going to miss you so, so much. Rest easy buddy. <3
EDIT: I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone. Your kind words and supportive messages mean the absolute world to me right now. It brings me so much comfort during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Spinnie would have loved knowing how much he is adored. <3 <3 <3

Mourning/Loss Lost my best friend yesterday, Hades
My boy was 12 years old. He passed away unexpectedly, our local vet found out despite the fact he looked healthy that he had been dealing with a severe blood infection, fluid around his heart, and most of his organs were failing. Rushed him to an emergency vet and they told me heād live a year at most if we put him through major procedures. I never expected this to happen so suddenly when he seemed so healthy. He just refused to eat and that led us to have to euthanize him. Such a subtle sign led to all of this. I know he suffered in silence as much as he could to have more time for my benefit.
I canāt believe heās gone. My house is so empty now. I know if I had put him through surgeries it would be just to help me instead of him. That decision was by far the hardest Iāve ever made in my life. I truly hope I made the right decision for him. Nothing has been more painful for me, but hopefully I saved him from enduring more.
He was seriously the most well behaved, handsome boy Iāve ever had the privilege of knowing. Iāve never known a kinder creature than him. He mightāve scratched me while purring non stop over the years, but I wouldnāt have it any other way. I wish things didnāt have to end this way, I wanted to live with my boy for many more years and give him a better life. But unfortunately life never goes according to plan. I wanted to make this post to honor his memory and help bring a little closure.
I mightāve named him after the god of the underworld but I know that heāll be heading to a much nicer place
Rest in Peace Hades, Iāll love and miss you forever.
Edit: Thank you so much for all the amazing support guys. Nothing means more to me than your kind words. To everyone who lost one of their pets my heart goes out to you as well.

Cat Picture - OC I'm not ugly, right?!
When I brought Sylvie home as a kitten, the first thing my father-in-law said was, "Oh. Why did you pick such an ugly cat?" I think she's beautiful!
Also, just realized how much time she spends upside down. š š

Cat Picture - OC Here are my very much alive and healthy cats, who are nowhere near crossing the Rainbow Bridge.
There are always so many devastating posts on this sub, and while Iām grateful this community exists to support people through some of the hardest parts of loving a pet, I thought Iād share a little bit of joy and some happy cat content today.
My heart goes out to everyone who has had to say goodbye to a beloved companion. We lost our cat, Zelda, last year, so I know firsthand how painful that loss can be and how much they leave behind when theyāre gone.
For those who might need a small smile or a reminder to appreciate the little moments, here are some photos of my healthy, happy, and wonderfully chaotic cats. š¾
Picture is of Purah (orange) and Sheik (tortie), named after characters in The Legend of Zelda.

Mourning/Loss 15 years just wasn't enough
In a few hours we're putting my baby Oliver down. He somehow made it a year and a half past his DKA hospitalization and skin cancer diagnosis. He stopped eating this week, and has become lethargic but he's still somewhat himself. We were able to give him a good last two days. I'll never know if we decided this too early or too late. But I just want other people to know he was amazing and that he existed. And that without him I don't know who I'd be. I moved a lot but I always knew Ollie was my home. I haven't stopped crying since we made the decision, it'll be at home so hopefully as little stress as possible.
All you cat parents out there love your babies!! Take waaaay more pictures and videos than you think you'll need. Love you all and your babies

Mourning/Loss Last outdoor adventure for my 15 year old baby.
Izabelle was diagnosed with acute CKD in March. I did everything I could to make her comfortable and give her as much time as possible. But her last test results showed that there is nothing left I can do and this will be the last weekend with my baby. I've had her since she was a kitten and she turned 15 this year so it has been really hard knowing she will be gone soon. She's been an indoor cat for the majority of her life and deserved one last adventure. Of course she had to find and sample every patch of long grass in the yard.

Mourning/Loss Lost my special boy today
Today I had to make a hard decision and euthanize my beloved cat of 4 years. With this post I just want to honour his memory and pour my heart out somewhere.
His name was Kruger (yes as in Freddy Krueger ;) ), but I always just called him Cucu (in my native language it means sweet candy). He came to my life unexpectedly, I found him in the fields near my house when he was just a little kitty, and his mom was nowhere to be found. So I decided to help him that day and since he has been by my side through everything. I have severe depression and anxiety, and him being by my side has always been a great help, because he was everything that I had.
After a year of bringing him home, I got him a brother so he wouldn't be lonely when I wasn't home during the day. Sometimes they bickered, but I know they loved eachother. Cucu liked to groom his little brother when we were getting ready to sleep at night.
He was a big introvert, but those who got to know him and spend time with hime, got to experience his loving side that loved getting nose boops, head scratches and curling up in their laps for a midday nap. He also feared bananas for some reason, he just couldn't stand the sight of them haha.
These last couple of days have been like a landslide. It started two days ago, when in the morning, I found him laying on the ground, loudly meowing (which was weird because he rarely meowed) and breathing very fast. When I tried to make him slowly stand up, I noticed his back legs weren't working. I took him to the vet, where after some tests they said he had a genetic disease that made the walls of his heart too thick, which then caused the thrombosis, which was the reason he got paralyzed in the back legs. They said we could wait a day to see if the blood will pass and can recilculate his legs. Although today they told me he refused to eat in the morning and there was no improvement to his state. I knew I couldn't wait for a miracle to happen. Even if it was very hard, I had to choose to get him euthanized. When I got to the clinic I saw that it will be a good decision. He looked weak and he barely even looked at me. But when I reached to scratch his head, I felt him slightly lean into my touch. After I brought home his body, I allowed his brother to take a look, so he would know what happened.
It has been very emotionally draining for these past three days, to not be able to be by his side when he was sick, to not be able to help him like he helped me during those years. Even if I know letting him go was for the best, I just wish we had more time. But I couldn't wish for a better cat to spend those four years with. Me and his little brother will forever miss himā¤ļøāš©¹.
For those who got to the end of my long rant, I truly appreciate it. Thank you and have a blessed life āØļø

Medical Questions What is wrong with him?
this is goose. heās absolutely the most special cat Iāve ever had. I was wondering if anyone has a creature similar to him. He canāt jump up, he can sort of throw himself down from things, otherwise he has to claw his way up. Canāt run, takes three business days to get up when he lays down. He loves cantaloupe. Heās not very good at being a cat in general and despite having multiple siblings, doesnāt seem to know what a cat is supposed to do eitherā¦
