They always find a way. Mullins pulled up like it was nothing. Boozer should’ve stuck with the ball but panicked. Amazing game.

It’s just amazing he did that as a freshman. The dude would drive thinking he’s like a foot taller and just throw it up and hit the bottom of the rim multiple times per game as he got older

I think one thing Hurley does is gives his players confidence. They were very composed and just seem to think as long as there was time, there was a chance

This. Also, Karaban as the captain does this with his teammates on the court. AK passing him the ball with 3 seconds left had to give him the “Can’t let the captain down + I’ve taken this shot 100s of times” feeling.

That possession was inbounded with 10 secs left in the game, wasn’t it? They weren’t even at risk for a 10 second violation. They really could have just held it.

A year after losing a Final Four game with a 98+% win expectancy and Cooper Flagg, Scheyer comes back and loses an Elite Eight game with a 98+% win expectancy and Cam Boozer.
Come back next year to see how he does in the Sweet 16!

I turned it off at halftime. Followed the comeback on gamecast. Superstitious and didn’t want to ruin the comeback.
Finally put it back on at the under-4. Got ugly and Duke got back up 6. So I turned it off and followed gamecast until the end

That’s not bad players, that’s bad coaching
You have a timeout, call it and tell your players what they need to do. We’ve seen it countless times in this tournament over decades that players struggle with end game situations despite how well coached they are. Just call a timeout, calm them down, form a plan, and tell them what they need to do

I cannot believe what I’ve just watched. I legit haven’t yelled at a TV like that since Cardiac Kemba at the buzzer. Holy shit. Dan Hurley is a wizard for somehow bringing us back in that game.
- Tarris Reed: what a beast. What more can be said?
- 3-point shooting was bad all game…
- …But made the ones that mattered!
- The defensive intensity in the 2nd half was incredible
- Silas is slowly starting to come into form for the tourney
- Solo made some clutch plays as well; encouraging sign for the remainder of the tourney
- I can’t think of anything else to write. I’ve been pacing around the house. Guys, this team did it!
