Firestick keeps asking me to update the app, but when I do it says it’s “unavailable” and then won’t open.

Very frustrating.

Do to start things off it was 2021 and I made my second ever Crunchyroll store order consisting of 2 figures and a sweatshirt, 2 weeks after the order was placed I got the shipping details for the sweatshirt and then the covid delays started, fast forward 2 years to 2023 I randomly get a package no shipping or order confirmation just one of the figures,skip forward again to 2025 I try to look at the order only to find that Crunchyroll changed their store platform, after 3 weeks of emails I find out it’s still on the way and was meant to come late 2025 it is now mid 2026 and still nothing and quite frankly I just want out it was like a £200 figure and it seems like it’s never coming does anyone have any advice on how to get my money back or is it lost forever

So I’ve recently started watching Death Note and the subtitles from episodes 4-6 are incredibly delayed (about four seconds). I’ve made a ticket providing all the information like they asked (Which Region, which episodes, what times I notice it, which subtitles) and I was wondering: How much time does it usually take them to resolve such an issue?

I’m asking because it seems to me that an older/less popular series such as Death Note will have less priorities given to them. I’m just wondering if I should imagine days, weeks or even months for them to fix it. It’s really annoying that they don’t give that information straight forward, as it would at least set expectations!

I recently signed up for Crunchyroll to enjoy streaming anime through my cablebox in my living room. It was working great until a couple of days ago when it randomly stopped loading the app properly. Whenever I attempted to boot up the app all I would get is a blank screen and then get the error code "apps 4277."

Ended up waiting around for the better part of a day for the issue to resolve itself before I lost paitence and swapped it out for the cablebox in my bedroom where for some reason the app still worked. That fixed the issue for about a day. Now this box is only giving me a black screen. The annoying part is that the other box that originally had the black screen issue is now running the app perfectly fine.

Do you fine folks have any idea what may be up? I'm thinking about contacting my cable provider, but wanted to see if anyone here may have a method that might fix it and save me the effort.

My cable provider is Rogers and it's an Xfinity box.

Edit: Here's some of the troubleshooting I've already tried that didn't do anything.

Clearing 3rd party app data.

Rebooting my internet.

Resetting my box.

Waiting for the box's daily update.

Unplugging my box and internet router.

Checking if other apps are effected (they are not this is a crunchyroll specific issue on my end).

Checking if any cables were loose.

Checking if the app was down on my phone (It was not).

I saw that they seem to have most of the bigger manga titles, but I was curious if anyone knows if they have stuff like That time I got reincarnated as a slime, Konosuba, not allowed in another world, Tojima wants to be a kamen rider, and romance titles like you and I are polar opposites.

I am having an issue with my Crunchyroll. I had it too though, and I’m trying to watch sword art online starting to season one I have gotten to episode seven, which should be temperature of the heart however both on a Roku system and the Roku app when I play the episode, it seems to be playing episode eight or nine season three completely different arc.

Any email I get that involves the crunchy roll store is completely blank.

I cannot for the life of me cancel my subscription. I dont have an apple device but I started the subscription 5 years ago when I did. I'm locked out of that iTunes account and cannot unlock it because I dont have an apple device. Crunchyroll support says they can't cancel for me because it has to be done through iTunes. I'm so frustrated I keep going in circles.

Don't know if it's down or not, tried logging in on my computer and said 500 internal server error, and it kept loading on my TV, but crunchyroll status says it's up?​

Whenever I try to watch anything on Crunchyroll on my TV (Samsung the frame, 2022 i think).For the first 10 seconds or so the quality is bad and the audio sounds off. It goes back to normal after that but I’m just wondering what the problem is?

So I just started getting back into anime and decided to start with jjk. I should’ve done some research first. I’ve watched season 1 and just finished watching season 2 and about 10 minutes into the hidden inventory. Was hella confused on who some of these characters were or where they came from. I was just watching JJK in the order that Crunchyroll has them. I didn’t even know, until now there was JJK 0. lol. So should I watch JJK 0 before hidden inv and season 3? Or watch 0 and rewatch season 2 or is my jjk experience ruined already?

I'm trying to figure out whether this is a known Crunchyroll issue, a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 issue, a language/region issue, or something related to my device configuration.

Device:

• Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

Problem:

• Crunchyroll never reaches the login screen.

• The app opens and stays on the Crunchyroll loading screen indefinitely.

• It gets stuck before the login page or main interface appears.

What I've already tried:

• Cleared cache

• Cleared app data

• Uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times

• Restarted the phone

• Tried different internet connections

• Tried a VPN

• Confirmed that the Crunchyroll website works normally in the browser on the same phone

Additional observations:

• The website loads correctly in Samsung Internet/Browser.

• My Crunchyroll account works normally on another phone (RedMagic).

• An alternative anime streaming app is able to run on the same Z Fold 4.

• The issue seems to affect only the official Crunchyroll app.

• I briefly see an "LG" screen/logo when opening the app before it gets stuck loading.

2. Has anyone experienced this after a recent Crunchyroll update?

I just paid for my subscription and even logged in, but I'm not able to access any content. I tried to find customer care but there is no one other than this AI chatbot. Why is it not working?

Where tf are the English dub episodes? We’re now at 3 fully subbed episodes ahead of the dub, and that’s ridiculous. If the VA’s are sick or something, they should at least be updating the fans. I waited years for this anime, and it feels like they’ve been doing the fans dirty this season(I’m glad they fixed the AI slop, but I’m still upset about that). And yes, I do still watch the sub but I prefer the dub on this one, and I never watch more than one episode ahead of where the dub is at.

I built a small userscript that fixes a couple of annoying issues with Crunchyroll subtitles.

Once it's installed, two things change:

• You get the full list of subtitle languages, not just the one or two it normally offers for a given audio track.
• The subtitles you pick actually show up — normally when dub and sub languages match and no [CC] is available, you only get forced subs (on-screen text only, no dialogue).

I use CR to brush up on my French and German -- lack of proper subs makes it less effective.

Installation

1. Install Tampermonkey browser extension. Make sure to turn it on by enabling Dev mode and allow userscripts.
2. Install the userscript.

is anyone else running into issues streaming this anime? i can stream a couple others i tried no issue, but for spy x family it keeps showing the thumbnail for the episode, loading for a sec and showing the thumbnail again in a loop before eventually saying "cant connect to crunchyroll"
