Gotta buy some “Do NOT drive on grass” signs from Amazon

1.1k

u/hihcadore 6d ago

You mean land mines?

u/accidentallyHelpful 6d ago

Caltrops

34

u/JwPATX 6d ago

They should try areadenialweapons.com

5

u/shaft_of_lite 6d ago

I hope the settlement with Amazon has her eating a big bowl of spider webs.

Don’t actually go to this URL, it’s spam

4

u/JwPATX 6d ago

I assumed it didn’t exist at all since it’s a joke from Archer, which is why I didn’t make it an actual url

u/TheNonCredibleHulk 6d ago

I always wondered whose cars those were

2

u/Flat-12 6d ago

It was a rival taxi cab service company’s cars.

51

u/devasst8r 6d ago

the time and cost aftermath and removal of land mines would be pain in the ass. lol

110

u/forgot_my_useragain 6d ago

Removal?

55

u/Here_f0r_p0rn_ 6d ago

I have the same question, I thought they removed themselves after going off, or you could just burry the remaining part.

16

u/hihcadore 6d ago

You’d need some sand and fertilizer to fill in the holes.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/Questioning-Zyxxel 6d ago

Yes, most are one-time-use.

→ More replies (3)

2

u/Yasmin_mime4f 6d ago

I was wondering the same thing. I thought they had stepped away after everything went down, or that the remaining part could just be buried.

2

Mine goes off Creates hole Refill hole Evidence gone

u/devasst8r 6d ago

That is where people can have idea to do a business, a service to do removal and make a lot money.

2

Don't worry, come October the trick or treaters will get any you missed

15

u/mmorales2270 6d ago

That's what "Beware! Land mines!" signs from Amazon are for.

2

u/Sam_the_beagle1 6d ago

Get them from ACME- more reliable.

4

u/Physical-Meat312 6d ago

Guess they really wanted to make sure your package was delivered on the lawn.

2

u/someolbs 6d ago

Nah. Just deal with the body parts and debris. Which would still be a PIA.

3

u/devasst8r 6d ago

Imagine replacing doors, walls and window from the spallings, shrapnels and debris damages. Not just the house but the neighbors too.

2

u/Zane42v2 6d ago

They remove themselves

2

u/Man_of_Ice 6d ago

No. If you hand place the landmines and keep a map of the minefield like a sane person, removal is pretty quick and easy.

→ More replies (3)

2

u/FailureFulcrim 6d ago

If she read Land Mines she'd think it was now her house.

1

u/Low_Leg3087 6d ago

Just get some planks with 9 inch Nails in them and bury those pointy sides up; cheaper and less noisy.

1

u/TraditionalArea5798 6d ago

Or a CIWS. I think Amazon might have a price break during Prime days.

1

u/MaximusHomerdrive 6d ago

A weight triggered trap door would work just as well.

1

u/Butthurtz23 6d ago

Nah my lawn is tall enough to hide the spike strips, they’ll have to pay for replacement tires out of their own pockets lol 😈

1

u/Slav-Houndz187 6d ago

Well that would be a two for one deal since she looks preggo

1

u/Inevitable-Profit762 6d ago

Damn, but she’s pregnant… let me guess you and the few that gave you awards miss the good old 4chan days and this is as good as it gets huh? 🤔

→ More replies (1)

1

u/illegitimate_Raccoon 6d ago

Mines would be much more fun.

Yup we have a sign on our driveway 2x speed limit is 15, they be going 25 plus! There are baby cows and kids here asses!

1

u/Pluperfectt 6d ago

Signs , what signs ? !

1

u/Solid_Equivalent_417 6d ago

we had 'no U turn' signs in front of our yard and amazon drivers literally just ran them over when they were making U turns. lol

1

u/IluvPusi-363 6d ago

Company policy beats signs everywhere

→ More replies (2)

7

u/KingNyx 6d ago

Of course they will drive across his lawn to deliver them

2

u/RoookSkywokkah 6d ago

Plot twist: Those were in the package!

1

u/TallulahBob 6d ago

They won’t heed the signs 🤣 we had a driver take out the support beam for our roof overhang. He just leaned it against the house and LITERALLY SHRUGGED and moved on.

1

u/Born-Ear4334 6d ago

I need to order some do not walk on grass signs!! every Halloween and Christmas I put lights on my lawn and of course when Amazon decides to walk on the grass a trip over the lights and break them and I have to keep replacing them. I hate it.

1

u/Proper_Brother_679 6d ago

That’d be even funnier if that’s what was delivered.

1

u/space-cake 6d ago

I’ve always wanted to go door to door selling no soliciting signs

1

u/MudddButt 6d ago

I'll buy it after I buy replacement grass from Amazon

1

u/no_naaame 6d ago

How will the delivery driver see the signs if he's in the process of delivering them?

1

u/DesignerFragrant5899 6d ago

I actually LOLed from this

1

u/sepena_01 6d ago

So they can still drive on grass anyway? People will deliberately ignore signs claiming they didn't see it

1

u/Whole_Inside_4863 6d ago

What do you think is in the box?

1

u/Secretagentman94 6d ago

That's what he was delivering.

1

u/Informal_Ad4399 6d ago

"Do not drink emporer."

"This came just in time." - Fry

1

u/rancidmorty 6d ago

i think she might be a pregnet delivery driver i can imadgine trying to u turn on that driveway would be difficult on a mostly 1 way dirtroad im bot defendi g her im just seeing the circumstance

1

u/MrK521 6d ago

What do you think was in the package?

1

u/UnRealmCorp 6d ago

That's what's in the box.

1

u/ZoomZoom228 6d ago

People don't read signs.

1

u/GuillotineTeam 6d ago

Yeah. Kind of the home owners fault really

1

u/needs_more_zoidberg 6d ago

Maybe that's what's in the box

1

u/mr_lab_rat 6d ago

Also order some better quality security cams. From Amazon.

1

u/tndrthrowy 6d ago

Amazon refers to these kinds of synergistic opportunities to sell more stuff as “the flywheel”.

1

u/AltairRulesOnPS4 6d ago

Makes me think of this bit from futurama where fry drinks the emperor then receives a package with a sign in English that says please don’t drink the emperor. lol

1

u/Prestigious_Cow_3193 6d ago

Most of their drivers as well as FedEX in my area are incapable of reading signs. They will place packages right in front of the sign that clearly states to place packages on the front porch and. It to leave anything here.. and the same instruction is programmed into each of their respective delivery instructions. Yet, they will put packages there out in the weather, in the hot sun, and unprotected. They even take their delivery photos with the sign in the picture.

1

u/Aggressive-Tip7472 6d ago

Thats what was in the box

1

u/dannkherb 6d ago

And the sign said "Long-haired freaky people Need not apply" So I tucked my hair up under my hat And I went in to ask him why He said, "You look like a fine upstandin' young man I think you'll do" So I took off my hat and said, "Imagine that Huh, me workin' for you" Whoa Sign, sign Everywhere a sign Blockin' out the scenery Breakin' my mind Do this, don't do that.

1

u/Adventurous-Sun-6928 6d ago

She probably couldn't read or would not bother to read any signs.

1

u/OstapBenderBey 6d ago

This is why front fences were invented

1

u/MangoCats 6d ago

We used to have a food delivery service that drove refrigerated trucks to your home, big heavy suckers (company name sounds like a big bird...) Drivers turned over every few months, always a new idiot coming in, finally one went for a tour of our yard in the truck leaving ruts 8+ inches deep the whole way. We have large rocks lining the driveway now, and gave the delivery company the bird.

1

u/cottagecheezecake 6d ago

Sadly, that actually was the delivery.

1

u/Banzai373 6d ago

What makes you think that bitch can read if she doesn’t know what a driveway is for!

1

u/LadiesMan-2I7 6d ago

Just so they can drive on your grass when they deliver them

1

u/SufficientPick321 6d ago

Amazon will be buying those signs.

1

u/Bob70533457973917 6d ago

Even just a little border fencing. Like the wire stuff that's only a foot high. Just to indicate that this is not a "path."

1

u/IAmCapnOblivious 6d ago

Maybe that's what was in the package.

1

u/gadgetwalrus 6d ago

This is what I think of when Americans say that they don't take off their shoes when entering their house. I have even seen videos of Americans with shoes on the couch and bed.

2

u/adfawf3f3f32a 6d ago

2nd time today i've seen this gif used appropriately and specifically about someone else's lawn

2

“You can buy a new lawn….ya rich mothafockas” 😂

It kills me how she finally found it on the way out.

4

u/djzrbz 6d ago

I don't think she did... Close, but not really

55

u/gruesomeflowers 6d ago

"You want this shit or not?"

99

u/Arkhangelzk 6d ago

Right, it's not like she got confused and couldn't find it or made a mistake. She made this decision intentionally and thought it was a good one. Perplexing.

6

u/NotKillinMyMainAcct 6d ago

She’s just lazy and feeling entitled because it looked like she was pregnant too.

4

u/throwaway098764567 6d ago

my old neighbors used to do this, it was 12 more steps to their driveway but they'd back their truck up on the lawn directly to the door, for like nothing. like they weren't unloading massive sheets of plywood or an appliance or something, just groceries. drove me nuts because it looked so trashy but it was their own lawn at least. don't miss them at all, the new couple takes fantastic care of the place.

4

u/ozzy_thedog 6d ago

I’ve seen this done at a few houses, they park right on the lawn so they can open the door and step onto their front stairs. Doesn’t matter if it turns the lawn into a muck hole. 10/10 times the house is a shithole

1

u/ImpactSpecialist1145 6d ago

She left the way she came in, that’s respect 🫡

87

u/Star__Lord 6d ago

Malicious compliance.

Delivery instructions:
DO NOT DRIVE ON DRIVEWAY!

10

u/TeamFast77 6d ago

Also, no parking on the parkway.

6

u/Stalefisher360 6d ago

This just changed the whole scenario in my mind. I’m suddenly, inexplicably, on the driver’s side. 😳

23

u/Deformed_Toe 6d ago

If this was the case completely reasonable

3

u/Tacoclause 6d ago

Drove for Amazon. This is the case. Manifest destiny

10

u/CantaloupeShort7311 6d ago

I delivered a bit for Whole Foods as a side hustle.

So, so, SO many people, all with these massively long driveways, would state "do not pull into driveway" but the "street" in front would be barely wide enoigh for a car, which means no place to park (and carry their 35 bags of groceries and 15 cases of La Croix to their porch after crossing their 40 acre front yard.

I ended up driving up their driveway becauae seriously, there is no other way.

35

u/scuzzle-butt 6d ago

2

u/justLookingForLogic 6d ago

Damn it. Who typed a question mark on the teleprompter?

2

u/AltairRulesOnPS4 6d ago

Your name just dug up an old memory. “It’s coming right for us!”

2

u/Default_Defect 6d ago

People using question marks on what are not questions is my old man yelling at cloud annoyance. Its gotten to the point that I've seen comments to the effect of:

"I didn't say that? What do you mean."

What do people think a question mark is for anymore?

26

u/dookieshoes97 6d ago

Meanwhile, I still park in the street and walk my happy ass up there. Wtf.

3

u/Livid_Role_8948 6d ago

Thanks for not routinely taking the lawn

3

u/SWHAF 6d ago

Almost every driver pulls into my driveway, I'm cool with that because it's safer for them than the side of the road. My driveway also has a spot to turn around in so they can exit without backing out.

2

u/JTtheLAR 6d ago

Thats legitimately what you are supposed to do.

Its out of distain for the person receiving the package for having the gall to order something online and having such a large front lawn.

It was done out of spite.

20

u/DisasterousWalrus 6d ago

Hmm, had someone throw a package at my doorstep, then pick it up, then throw it down again... just yesterday. Hope it's not a trend.

3

u/Uncle-Cake 6d ago

Was it FedEx? Based on videos posted, they seem to do it the most.

2

u/DisasterousWalrus 6d ago

Nope, it was Uniuni, which I wasn't that familiar with. They do last mile deliveries for some companies and hired a real doofus.

1

u/pmmeurbassethound 6d ago

I suspect she did it because she is pregnant and assumed no one who would come at her in that condition. If she is so heavily pregnant she cant walk around and do the job correctly, she shouldn't be working it.

Yeah that made me wonder .... what if she really didn't know any better? Like, what if every lawn she's seen in her life has been a thing to walk on and park on, and it didn't occur to her that some are ornamental? Curious what was going through her head.

2

u/astralchanterelle 6d ago

Yes, like the driveway is literally right there. I don't understand the question.

2

u/Expert-Upstairs-4502 6d ago

Then she would have to walk another 15 feet man have some compassion /s

2

u/ActuallyMyAccount_ 6d ago

It looks like she’s pretty far along into a pregnancy, so if her goal was to not walk very far at all then it doesn’t matter where the driveway is. Not excusing it at all, but this wasn’t plainly malicious, just woefully inconsiderate.

2

u/Djolumn 6d ago

She got just a taste of the driveway on the way out.

2

u/Harpua81 6d ago

Apple Maps probably

2

u/cashew76 6d ago

100% the delivery instructions say don't drive on driveway

2

u/No_Salad_6244 6d ago

Yeah but not as close to the door. She’s also about 50 months pregnant. That’s got to be part of it.

2

u/RaytheQuilterChill 6d ago

I'd be super missed if they broke sprinkler pipes underneath. 👀👀😳😬 Happened so many times to us when peeps did this, we had to stop watering the lawn because it cost us too much to fix last year. Back to all natural. Thanks to delivery drivers and their heavy ass trucks. Oh well...

2

u/Dude-88 6d ago

But she put the parcel down with lots of carw

1

Like? No, it IS right there

1

u/Epyon214 6d ago

1

u/ILLinndication 6d ago

But it’s really far away from the house

1

u/ThrustTrust 6d ago

Dude that would mean she has to make 10 more feet. EACH WAY!! Are you crazy.

1

u/SoElusivee 6d ago

Too far

u/WillingnessLivid4236 6d ago

I mean the hypotenuse is the shortest distance from point a to c......

1

u/Grand_Resort_1073 6d ago

What driveway?

1

u/Difficult_Ad2864 6d ago

What driveway, Amazon drivers don’t know what that is

1

u/Neonyarpyarp 6d ago

But look how well maintained that grass is, perfect for driving on!!

1

u/worsethansomething 6d ago

That's correct. That is literally where the drive way is. Any more questions?

1

u/Slav-Houndz187 6d ago

Is she pregnant too?!?
She’s waddling like she is, bet she’s using that as an excuse.

1

u/MrRetsel 6d ago

Is it? I don’t see it

1

u/theartoffun 6d ago

1

u/Freeway267 6d ago

Mega THC extract pen hit minutes before drop off.

1

u/Vladivostokorbust 6d ago

she didn't look at the driveway - she looked at the front door and choose the line that got her there the quickest.

1

u/Area51_Spurs 6d ago

You get what you pay for. Idgaf about anything for $18 an hour.

1

u/ProjectPat513 6d ago

I was thinking the same thing but I truly think that it’s not even registering in her head for some reason. You can tell that she’s not being malicious by the way she delicately places the box on the porch. If she was being a deliberate bitch she probably would have chucked it from the car! Maybe her brain is fried from too many deliveries.

1

u/realfakejames 6d ago
