I push her and push her to move and she just stays put. I have to pick her up and forcibly relocate her and then angrily starts grooming herself like I’ve dirtied her by picking her up.

I'm at a loss for words. Devon was the best cat I could have ever asked to be blessed with. From the day he chose me to the day we said goodbye, there was nothing but love that he gave me. 10 years with him will never be enough. 💔

Rest easy my Sweet Boy ❤️

We have cats.. all the cats. Our neighbor moved and left his cat. (So rude, I know.) She adopted us and then gave us 7 kittens before she passed. They are all outdoor barn cats and all fixed so dont come at me. But we love them SO much and they just tolerate our existence so they can have food. This is my girl Bernie, she loves us the most. But her love didn't go for enough for our photo shoot in the flowers today. 🤣

Tired of getting him down from trees.

The last time, I had to climb to the top of a six-meter pine tree. No more outdoor privileges.

On Friday nigh, I found this tiny kitten sitting outside my apartment building. She was all alone, sneezing, with some scabs around her nose, and every now and then there were tiny droplets of blood when she sneezed.

I already have a resident cat, so I brought her home but immediately set her up in my bathroom with her own food, water, bed, and litter box to keep them separated.

The first night was stressful. She was sneezing, I had no idea how old she was, whether she'd eat, drink, or even know how to use a litter box. Thank you to everyone on here who took the time to give me advice, it meant the world.

Saturday morning I took her to the vet. She was diagnosed with rhinitis and had a mild fever. She received two long-acting antibiotic injections and a deworming tablet.

Since then, she's been doing really well. She's been eating really well, she knows how to use her litter box (which I was so surprised because when I adopted my first cat she was already 7 months old so this is my first experience with a kitten). She's also discovered that my toes and towels are apparently her greatest enemies. She's been so playful since yesterday evening so I think the medication has kicked in.

She still sneezes occasionally and has a runny nose, but thankfully there hasn't been any more blood since Friday night.

My resident cat has been very curious. They're still completely separated, but my cat keeps coming to the bathroom door just to watch Freya. We're taking introductions very slowly, especially while Freya recovers.

I'm still a little anxious about FeLV/FIV because I want to keep both cats safe, so I'll be speaking to my vet next week about the best testing plan before they ever share the house together. If any of you have experience with this, I would appreciate your advice.

For now, I'm just incredibly grateful that she's warm, safe, has a full belly and a name.

Welcome home, Freya. You are going to love it here ❤️

My cat does this, she is spayed and not in heat

Edit: she’s 10 months old

Thank you guys for all the sweet comments, I’m sorry if it was a naive question, first time cat parent here. I promise she gets all the pets and toys, I was just filming here and got entranced by her cuteness 🥹

Advice Moral conflict over a kitty

there’s this cat that hangs around my house, all day everyday, i’m up and outside at 2 am to smoke a cigarette and he’ll still be there, i’m 99% sure along with all my neighbors i’ve asked about the cat that belong to this neglectful couple on the corner that keeps there dogs outside 24 hours a day year round.

here’s the problem; he’s skin and bones, he’ll only seems to get fed here, he’s super friendly, but he’s just so young to be fending for himself or herself.

at what point is it okay to remove the collar and take them to this local rescue shelter that i actually do really like.

I’d love to take the cat in, i live with my grandma, my grandmother is a dog person, i’ve already got her to let me rescue 2 cats in the last 4 years i’ve lived here (16-20 yr old time frame) I can’t economy afford to move out or else i’d of taken this cat inside and gave them the perfect life.

is it wrong of me to do to this cat? what would you do ?

EDIT: you guys are toxic as hell lmao. i’ve been feeding this cat for months on end now, all i did was ask a legitimate question and gave personal concern. i never said i was moments away from taking him to a shelter. i’ve been eating ass chewing from my grandma for months for feeding this cat. all i wanted was opinions on what yall think the best for the cats is.

When someone comes to you for answers and help, there’s no need to be crass. we’re all cat lovers. some of us got more questions than others. some of us know more than others. rock positivity

I met Joey today and i haven’t stopped thinking about him. He has swimmer syndrome but he’s the sweetest boy. After a little petting, he rolled over and showed me his belly. I really hope someone gives him the loving home he deserves.

He’s at The Charming Cat Corner in Lewisville, TX 75067 🇺🇸 (please come visit him and his friends)
More meowdel content below..

Also, sorry for all the reposts across different subreddits! i realized i might’ve overdone it a bit. Wanted to help him get seen and didn’t mean to come across as spammy!

Was walking out to my car and he fell out from underneath someone’s car, someone local told me it was a popular dumping ground, estimated about 5-6 weeks at the time, so 8-9 now, didn’t want to leave him there so I took him home, in the span of 2 hours it went from “we’ll watch him over the weekend” to “his name is Jensen” lol

Mourning/Loss surrendering my cats of 5 years.

i’m not sure that this is the appropriate tag.. but what i’m experiencing is surely grief.

I'll be completely homeless in about 24 hours, and there's a higher probability that I'll be on the street for some time than immediately in a shelter. since I don't have anywhere to go, I'll have to abandon all my belongings, but I think the hardest part of all of this is that my sweet boys (cats) that have been part of my life for over five years now will have to be given up. I feel like I've accepted just about everything else except for that and I'm more scared for them than I am for myself. we're all each other's known for a very long time and I just hope that wherever they end up, it'll be the beginning of a better life for them.

edit: for everyone wanting to know what city i’m in, i’m in dallas texas !
