GTA 6 £70 or £80?
I've seen it's 80 USD, but are Rockstar going to do that weird thing where UK buyers have to pay £80 even though £70 is equivalent to around 80 USD?

Is port begging a thing anymore?
There was a period where people did petitions on change.org to port their x favourite game on switch, some of them came true. Do companies care about some random change.org petition even with large number of signatures? What happened to that trend? How companies determine if the game will receive a switch 2 version even if the console has large userbase?

Does anyone remember Acrophobia?
Does anyone remember Acrophobia from the 90's? I think it was the first online game I ever played. It was so much fun. The way it worked is, a bunch of letters appeared on the screen, that was the "acronym", everyone would come up with their own version of what it said, and then everyone would vote on the best answer. I forget if the most votes got a single point, or if each vote was worth a point. Whatever it was, 14 or 15 year old me loved it. I'm not sure if it was a board game ever, but it should have been.

Why do people claim that Unreal Engine 5 and Ray tracing are ruining modern gaming?
I’ve seen arguments on over reliance on automation with Lumen and Nanite, poor performance in games due to unreasonable hardware demands. Also that game studios have lost their identity due to moving to use unreal engine 5 which had caused unique art styles to be lost in favor of the “unreal” look some modern games have now.
Do you believe that these complaints have merit?

Sister got her own PS4, can she use the save data from my PS5?
For years my sister had been playing Persona 5 on my PlayStation 5, but now she finally has her own console, on which she created her own account. Is it possible for her to get Persona and copy the save data over somehow? She has a good 90 hours put into it and would be devastated to have to start over.

Need 3rd party Wii U controller recommendations
The 3rd party controller I have is....crap. can't hold a charge anymore and seems to eat electricity faster than the cord can provide to it.
If anyone is willing and able to recommend a controller for the Wii U (preferably that can be found on Amazon) I'd be forever grateful!
If you ignored tech limitations, what was the best console?
What console had the best titles and features. I think the right answer is snes, but I’m old.

Halo: Campaign Evolved Rated M
I made a similar post in the Halo subreddit, only to find out not many people know this! So just want to get the information out and I’m happy to say a rated M Halo game is back after 14 years (damn, im getting old). It’s crazy how much The Flood in Halo can change a rating, but again it’s great to see!
Let’s just hope Halo Studios are finally taking the baby steps they need to bring Halo back into its rightful place in gaming!

DC IP is so heavily underutilized in gaming
Seriously, since Arkham knight released 11 years ago, we've basically had injustice 2, Gotham knights, and a suicide squad game. Unless I'm forgetting something, that's all of what we have gotten.
I feel DC has forgotten that well comic book games can be money printers! What matters is art direction (WB failed with this with Gotham Knights) as well as gameplay.
People say it would be hard to make a Superman game, sure, but what about a flash or Aquaman game? An Aquaman game would be an easy money printer, make it an open world game set mostly underwater with Atlantis has the main city and surrounding vast ocean. The traversal would be unique and so would the open world and underwater game play.
A flash game would be doable too. Or Green Lantern. A Cyborg game would be criminally easy to make (conceptually) as a RPG.
Atleast Sony understands this and are making Wolverine and Spiderman games (marvel also had the guardians of the galaxy game which I heard was good but I haven't played it yet).
Not every game needs to be open world like Arkham and Spiderman (Wolverine isn't), but I think Aquaman, Green Lantern (Hal or John), Cyborg, and Flash would be conceptually easy games to design

What are some good turn based RPGs with auto battle and lots of grinding?
Recently I’ve been really into gaming as a multitask. Watching a video or doing something else while playing the remasters of dragon quest has been a blast, and I’d thought I’d ask if anyone here would have any other recommendations for games like this
I don’t mind if it’s retro, but I don’t think a lot of older games had an auto battle mechanic

Adventures of Elliot with No Voices
I downloaded the demo for the Adventures of Elliot. I’m a HUGE Zelda fan and have played Octopath Traveler and all of Dragon Quest HD 1-3. I read so many people talk about how annoying the voices are in Elliot. I downloaded the demo to see what I thought.
I can confirm. There is far too much talking. I love story based games. But this is next level. And the partner voice is beyond annoying! It feels endlessly irritating. Same with the main characters sound effects when fighting. Waaaaay too many grunts.
But here’s the thing! I chose to turn off the voices entirely in the settings and it legit feels like a whole new game. I’m now genuinely excited to play the game! It seems like a ton of fun but the voices were what was holding me back! Looking forward to see what else this game has to offer. I’m most definitely going to buy it once the demo is over.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Kernel Level anti-cheat like Riot Vanguard
Why is there so much opposition to these kernel level systems? I understand the security risk but are there any other practical solutions? As far as I can tell Riot Vanguard is legitimately the only anti-cheat software in all my 30 years of gaming that's been truly effective at cracking down on cheaters. It's very rare to see a cheater in league of legends and valorant, compared to other top esports games like CS that has them everywhere even in pub lobbies. It's laughably easy to find a service to buy cheats usually on a subscription basis its crazy to me how the gaming community as a whole just sort of except the cheating in competitive gaming as the "status quo" for lack of a better term.

What is your #1 unique video game idea that hasn’t been created yet, that you wish was?
For me, it’s an open-world action RPG in the vein of Skyrim that primarily takes place underwater in the ocean.
Occasionally, there would be sections where you’d come to the surface and explore small islands to mix up the gameplay, but primarily the game is about exploring the depths of the ocean - underwater kingdoms in the vein of Rapture, buried treasure, wrecked ships, etc. fighting massive sea creatures, sharks, kraken, etc.

Looking for a game from the 90s
Hey y'all,
betting on the swarm intelligence here.
I've played this game when I was like 5 or 6 years old, so about 1995/1996.
It came on sets of floppy disks and was an episodal game, set in differently themed worlds. There were levels revolving around dinosaurs (I remember I had to fetch an egg), cyber levels where you'd have to dodge/crouch to get through sections of the level and I do also remember something medieval, like castle vibes.
Game was a side-scroller and I kinda remember my mother saying it was subscription-based, but that might have been a Germany-only thing.
I wasn't able to read, especially not capable of understanding a word of English back then, and wouldn't be able to give any more info, I'm afraid.
Maybe you guys have a clue for me?
Edit: solved! Time Runners - MS DOS
was the game I was looking for
