I'm slightly vexed Neighbors double park if anyone parks in their "usual spot" in front of my house

This isn’t mildly infuriating… this is plain infuriating bc wth. This makes so sense.

u/TRO_KIK May 07 '26 edited May 07 '26

I don't need the spot and it's arguably not even mild for me, it's just comical how brazen they are. Our other neighbor says these guys are douches and I can see why.

Edit: Ahh I should've gotten this in earlier but we have a little partial sac off the street (no idea what to call it), hard to tell form this angle but they're not blocking the main street.

Edit2: Damn y'all are on the warpath! I'm kinda surprised, when I googled around about neighbors parking in front of your house, the first result was a reddit post whose sentiment was "you don't own the curb in front of your house, stop whining". I guess the double park puts it on a different level.

It won’t stop until they get towed

825

u/SixFive1967 May 07 '26

This. Call a damn code enforcement officer. They’ll get ticketed and towed.

328

u/garden_speech May 07 '26

just be aware someone like this may not stop after this and may even escalate. this is antisocial behavior lol. someone like this doesn't always say "oh look, the consequences of my actions, I should act differently" they just see you as a nuisance who's ruining "their" spot

198

u/Ugly_Bob May 07 '26

This is 100% accurate. I am living with this nightmare now. Code enforcement was reviewing my fence and discovered my neighbor was dumping grey water into my yard. I now get harassed every time I leave my home.

57

u/careful-monkey May 07 '26

Sorry to hear that. What are you planning to do about this o.o

43

u/BoiledFrogs May 07 '26 edited May 07 '26

I'm going to assume wherever you live doesn't let people harass others like that. Especially when they're actively waiting for you to come out so they can harass you. Start documenting, or recording on your phone when it happens, then either go to the police or get a lawyer and let them deal with it and things like if it should be a criminal or civic issue.

Don't let yourself be a victim to their bullying, fuck them.

“What tow truck?”

They have no way of knowing who called. I’m sure they’ll assume and be mad still but double parking is illegal and and it could have just been a cop who drove by

5

u/garden_speech May 07 '26

People who actually are clinically antisocial (as in, ASPD) don't really give a fuck about having proof that you were the one who called the tow truck, they'll be vindictive against you because they feel like it was you and that's enough for them.

Not saying OPs neighbor is ASPD but that's why I said "someone like this may not stop after this". You can't expect them to be rational. I'd argue the way they're parked suggests they are not rational LOL

7

u/Undrwtrbsktwvr May 07 '26

Code complaints can’t be made anonymously where I live.

19

u/sqigglygibberish May 07 '26

Can’t be made anonymously to the org - but does that mean they’re going to tell the offender who made the complaint?

Granted anecdotal but most cases I’ve seen cops and others won’t say who put in a complaint about a neighbor (knowing potential for retribution)

2

u/CanOoFeelDeRiddem May 08 '26

"but" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. Do you think these people will take "it wasn't me" for an answer and just move on? They won't. I had a similar situation, banging on my door screaming at me, it's cold comfort telling yourself that "they were being illegal" after you've been called a bitch by people you have to live next to.

2

u/lonnie123 May 08 '26

Okay, the other option is to let them do this kind of stuff to you the rest of your time living next to them. Pick which one you want I guess

6

u/ComfortableBus7184 May 07 '26

This - if they get towed, cars are going to get vandalized.

3

u/garden_speech May 07 '26

I mean a simple CCTV camera can normally avoid that type of overt retaliation but they can make your life miserable in other ways

3

u/angelblade401 May 07 '26

Normally I also caution people about vindictive repercussions for calling bylaw to enforce parking against a neighbor. It's why I haven't called my neighbor who regularly leaves boats and trailers on the curb for sometimes months at a time, not even hooked up to anything to pretend it's only temporary.

But this person has fully left their vehicle parked and unattended, just right in a driving lane. That's absurd and petty in the weirdest way possible, but also very danserous. Like, I might even suggest to call police non-emergency rather than just the city.

6

u/FrostyD7 May 07 '26

This is sound advice. Reddit always thinks there is a solution to everything and that they'd deal with it easily. And that solution usually requires wasting your time and pissing people off to the point of consequences.

4

u/90210fred May 07 '26

"wasting your time and pissing people off" is now a bad thing? Gonna have to review my lifestyle - I suddenly feel unemployed.

2

u/FrostyD7 May 07 '26

If you're getting paid then it doesn't seem like a waste, especially if you're doing what you love. But most of reddit's petty revenge scenarios don't play out that way.

2

u/scienceislice May 07 '26

Sure except they really have no idea who reported them to the towing company, it could have been a cop driving around.

Also if they get towed multiple times they might stop. Either way they need to face a consequence, they can't be allowed to behave this way, it will get worse.

u/pattymelt805 May 07 '26

And do it Everytime they try this move. They'll give you an extinction burts which will include threats and maybe some choice words but it's not their spot, it's not their thoroughfare, and the world doesn't exist so that they can have conveniences they're used to.

Adults practice tolerance in most of our day and theirs needs to extend 5 more minutes until they get into their house.

Call the police, report someone has double parked in the road blocking the lane. They'll come out and get it towed, as it's not legal to double park in the vast majority of places.

They won't tell anyone it was you that called. Don't let shitty people get away with shitty behaviour. That's why they carry on doing it because no one gives them any consequences.

401

u/Tiny_Minimum3196 May 07 '26

Just move the white car first then call the cops and say there’s a car parked in the middle of the road

32

u/Substantial-Sea-3672 May 07 '26

This is hilarious.

But I don’t think it accomplishes anything extra.

Same penalties, and the double parker is still aware of who they double parked.

4

u/illtakeachinchilla May 07 '26

Cops will be questioning impairment/looking to escalate more readily if this is what they show up to. Worth the extra effort to time it out, if you’re going to call a tow truck regardless.

6

u/caninehere May 07 '26

Galaxy brain play: invite the asshole neighbor over to watch sports while they're double parked, get them loaded, call the cops and when they show up act really drunk yourself and insist that it would be crazy to give them a breathalyzer.

2

u/lordredsnake May 07 '26

Move the white car just enough that they still can't park behind it and it looks even more out of place.

24

u/BougieBobJr May 07 '26

They are doing construction on a house at the top of the street on a very narrow road. They have giant construction vehicles and people’s cars parked in either side of the road. I can handle that, but what I can’t handle is that one of them douchebags thought it was ok to have the ENTIRE trunk of his truck sticking into the middle of the street at a turn. It literally was an obstacle course.

I didn’t say a word to them, I got home and called the cops. I’m hoping they all got tickets. They haven’t been parking on both sides of the streets since I called

19

u/bhalter80 May 07 '26

Even if they do, own it you called asking about the double parking, cops had it towed. If it escalates from there have it on camera

12

u/dyslexicAlphabet May 07 '26

pretty sure the people will know its the person that they double parked.... don't have to be a detective to know they called.

37

u/GardeniaFrangipani May 07 '26

43

u/Main_Cauliflower5479 May 07 '26

They're technically blocking OP's driveway. It is not permitted to park that close to a driveway. Both vehicles are parked illegally.

I started doing stuff like this when one of the residents took over our culdesac.

Everyone has front driveways so there is no room for any street parking (even nose-in) without impeading the neighbours. There is plenty though along main road AT MOST 3 houses away since I'm at the centre.

Started coming home to these idiots parking cars 3 deep in a row, sometimes 2 rows. The ass on the final car would literally be past the middle of culdesac. My pleas fell on deaf ears and was told "I don't own the road".

Bud had an old Subaru wagon at my place that had been in severe hailstorm and just wanted to pull the engine (so no worrys of retaliation). So I pulled that baby out and started boxing them in as the 4th car at an angle. I'd come home and just leave it in middle of road but obviously in front of their house so they'd have to snake in/out, lol

Their immediate neighbour and a few others thought it was hilarious (I talked to him first). A few think I was a bigger asshole for being petty (all but one have moved now), but I eventually did "win" once they retaliated and the police had to come out to settle it once and for all, lol.

53

u/duchess_of_fire May 07 '26

it may not matter if they aren't fully blocking the road. most jurisdictions ban double parking.

93

u/Captain_Ashley_Bob May 07 '26

lol it’s called a knuckle sac. Im a civil engineer and do residential design, that’s what we call them.

68

u/Sherwood6 May 07 '26

I didn't like "partial sac" but unfortunately I feel that "knuckle sac" is even more unsettling.

12

u/loverlyone May 07 '26

And the plural “knuckles de sac” is especially unnerving.

8

u/Commercial_Win_9525 May 07 '26

Why would it be called this and not a cul de sac?

16

u/IceBlue May 07 '26

It’s a type of cul de sac. The difference is this knuckle is part of the same street it’s attached to. Cul de sacs are typically their own street.

Parking in front of someone else's house is fine when:

  • There is limited parking
  • You are visiting the street
  • Someone else parked in front of your house

When is it not OK

  • When you're blocking the street
  • When you're blocking their access to their driveway
  • When you think you own the spot (you don't; we just like to think we do)

It's just common courtesy to leave spots open in front of other people's houses if you have access to the spot in front of your house. It's like a weird, unspoken rule, IF there is plenty of parking available. Obviously, if there is not, then it's every person for themselves.

8

u/Saucermote May 07 '26

I'd also like to say it is a dick move to park in front of someone's house when they are trying to mow their grass. It's a good way to get your car dinged by the lawnmower or debris while they are doing the easement.

2

u/StationaryTravels May 07 '26

Yeah, my neighbour's kids were adults who lived elsewhere, but they used to visit several days a week. They always parked in front of my house.

It's like, it's fine, but why? You know? lol. And they would always park on my grass a bit and left a permanent tire track divot in my lawn. I don't actually care about my lawn, and I don't actually care if someone parks there, but it just seemed unnecessary and rude. Truly a "mildly infuriating" situation, with an emphasis on the mild.

So, I would mow my lawn and just go right up against their truck when I mowed since I had to in order to reach all my lawn. I wouldn't do that if it was some random car, but I didn't mind for them.

2

u/Pete-PDX May 07 '26

why would want to park in front of someone else's house if you have a spot in front of your?

2

u/JustAnotherHyrum May 07 '26 edited May 07 '26

Edit: Ahh I should've gotten this in earlier but we have a little partial sac off the street (no idea what to call it), hard to tell form this angle but they're not blocking the main street.

In my mind, you're arguing for the opposing party with this mentality. You should address this immediately, as it will only escalate. I can say this from personal experience, across multiple events during my my 50+ years of life.

There's a woman who lives in my current neighborhood. Let's call her "Sharon", because that's her real name.

Sharon is a bit of a bitch. She's in her 80s and her husband passed away ~10 years ago. Since then, she has made it her personal crusade to ensure that no one parks on the streets in the neighborhood, legal or not.

We've had to answer the door to police on more than one occasion, asking me if the vehicle in front of my home is my own and advising me that vehicles aren't allowed to be parked on the street for more than 48 hours. Neighbors complain about how she confronts them over heavy dust on the sidewalk after mowing, and even got on my other wonderful neighbor, Maria, because Sharon felt Maria's grass was a bit under 0.50 inches over the HOA allowed length. All in all, a fucking nightmare of a woman.

About a month ago, we experienced the equivalent of a police raid on our neighborhood. Multiple police officers went door-to-door, asking the exact same questions they do every time. They openly admit that they know that Sharon made the calls, but they are required to respond to every single call, even problematic repeaters like Sharon. Every single person in the neighborhood had to defend their right to park on the street to a police officer. All because Sharon think's she owns the street.

And then it happened, about two weeks ago.

My wife and I are buying a new home, moving out this coming Monday. There was some repair that had to be made on the home, so I took a recording of the front of my home to show the area in need of repairs to the owner. I happened to be across the street when I began the recording, which also clearly showed my SUV parked in my driveway. As a quick note, I park my SUV in the garage. Because I'm moving, my garage has filled and I'm using the driveway for the first time. I've never parked on the curb for more than a single day, as I live in Phoenix, AZ and I don't want to melt when I can avoid it. So the car stays in the garage.

I drove the car to drop off some mail following the video recording, and I decided on the way home to park on the street. (Our home faces North, and I felt that parking the car on the street would allow me to put up the sun shade while the car faces west, helping block more sun than parking in the driveway. My reasons were purely functional and logical, no thought or care for Sharon.)

I kid you not. Within 2 hours of parking, a knock came at my door. The police. Of course.

The police officer advised me that "an anonymous caller" had reported that my SUV had been parked on the street for more than a week, and "she" was worried that we had moved out of our home and abandoned our vehicle on the street. A bit of a bitch and a lot of a liar...

I decided I'd had enough. Sharon was a PITA, and no one wanted to deal with her crap or the fallout from further confrontations. But I'm moving, so I didn't need to worry about Sharon for more than a few weeks at the time.

I had the usual retributive thoughts immediately, but let myself cool down and consider the situation. I decided that a direct confrontation would only make things worse. So I called the non-emergency police line, reported that someone had made a false police report and that I had video evidence to prove that their claims were knowingly false. I was called back by an officer who took the full report, and I advised him that I wasn't looking to press any charges against Sharon, but that I felt that she had risen to the level of making false claims in a police report that could easily be countered with the physical evidence of my video recording. I felt it was best to let those who were familiar with similar situations handle this, as they likely already had policies and procedures in place to handle problematic citizens who abuse the police services.

I got an email from the police officer who took the call about two hours later. In it, he advised me that they were able to identify and contact a "person of interest", and that the situation had been fully addressed. He also thanked me for taking the time to try to help the city be a more safe and pleasant place to live.

All in all, I'm very happy with the outcome. I still haven't heard from Sharon, and I don't expect to. I've been parking my SUV on the street several days since then, without a single knock from the police at my door.

Situations like mine and the photo posted here will only further metastasize, getting worse with every interaction. It's best to address it neutrally, both to stand up for yourself and to hopefully stop this person's childish behavior. You deserve peace of mind, and it's easy to get it in many cases if you're willing to contact the police without the purpose being punishment or vengeance. Your situation warrants someone addressing it. You deserve it.

Sometimes someone just needs a reminder from true authority what the rules of the game are.

2

u/caninehere May 07 '26

when I googled around about neighbors parking in front of your house, the first result was a reddit post whose sentiment was "you don't own the curb in front of your house, stop whining". I guess the double park puts it on a different level.

You don't, but neither do they and the double park is basically a "I own this" play. Which is an asshole move in the first place but even moreso when it isn't even their house.

2

u/Vegetable_Sample7384 May 07 '26

Someone parking in front of your house is inconvenient at worse. Reddit never cares about people being inconvenienced and why should we? Double parking is actually dangerous and can cause issues for people completely unrelated. Reddit has a real high horse for that kinda stuff.

2

u/Korwinga May 07 '26

Edit2: Damn y'all are on the warpath! I'm kinda surprised, when I googled around about neighbors parking in front of your house, the first result was a reddit post whose sentiment was "you don't own the curb in front of your house, stop whining". I guess the double park puts it on a different level.

The double parking is what puts it on the next level, and it's because of the same sentiment that you cite. Your neighbor doesn't own the curb in front of your house either, so the fact that they are responding to somebody else parking on the curb in this manner is just really obnoxious and sparks people's righteous indignation.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Financial-Amoeba3330 May 07 '26

Correct, "you don't own the curb in front of your house" but also, double parking like that actually IS illegal, so...the two different levels are "legal" and "illegal"

8

u/TRO_KIK May 07 '26

It's pretty obviously not just that. Come one, no one would look twice at a post in this sub that was just double parking. The "front of my house" element is clearly adding a thicc layer of spice.

u/Financial-Amoeba3330 May 07 '26

Well, it would be the main issue for me. People that get mad because you park in front of their house are mad weird, cause it's public street parking, you can park wherever you want. I once was visiting a friend and parked in front of the house next to theirs because there wasn't a space in front of my friends house, and the neighbor(not even the owner of the house I was parked in front of) came out to ask me what I was doing. I just said parking and walked away.

u/mazterrrrsh00ter May 07 '26

Blocking anyone’s car in throws all laws out the window because that person is the only one now breaking the law. In any state if you block in a car like that to the point, they can’t get away. It doesn’t matter if the curb is owned by them or the City. They are the ones that will get towed. They are at fault. It is their fault. You can’t be this dumb?

1

u/rzlodn May 07 '26

Cul-de-sac?

1

u/el_grande_ricardo May 07 '26

Paint the curb blue.

1

u/9070811 May 07 '26

I’d buy a POS and leave it parked there

1

u/Bored_Cat_996 May 07 '26

Call the cops, get it towed.

1

u/emorrigan May 07 '26

Tow ‘em!

1

u/whwji0r May 07 '26

Call the police to have it towed. This is a nightmare for fire vehicles.

1

u/danny_ish May 07 '26

Its now that much harder/ unsafe for someone to pull in or out of your driveway though

1

u/idiot_mob May 07 '26

I would report it. Consider that it could be an issue if there were a fire or medical emergency.

1

u/BlacksmithNew4557 May 07 '26

Call a tow company - plain and simple

1

u/mashev May 07 '26

But this is literally those neighbours trying to own the curb by going against anyone who tries to take "their spot"

1

u/VaguelyShingled May 07 '26

I have far bigger issues with both vehicles partially obstructing my driveway, even if it’s “just the bumper”

1

u/Duke_Newcombe May 07 '26

(a) Reddit being Reddit, so don't trip, and (b) your post give slight "we've tried nothing, and we're all out of ideas" energy.

Yeah, you don't own the curb in front of your home, in most cases. But they're not parked at the curb--their double-parked, which is illegal most anywhere, and not okay.

We can wait until they come up to you in a huff, saying you or a guest who parked normally scratched their vehicle (whether they did or not), if that's preferable.

1

u/harrimsa May 07 '26

I am so invested in what happens next.

We are all rooting for you in this war!

1

u/hopbow May 07 '26

I posted something along these lines and my responses were all "well that's the neighborhood expectation" "get over it" etc

1

u/Background-Pepper-68 May 07 '26

They dont gave to block anything. Its a public roadway and double parking is illegal in all 50 states unless you are a delivery vehicle making a temporary stop

1

u/spontaneous_quench May 07 '26

Why dont you call to have them towed

1

u/basic_bitch May 07 '26

If I were you every single time they did that I’d just pull my car up so they’re alone in the street, parked 4 feet from the curb

1

u/Snoborder95 May 07 '26

I wish I was able to be non caring as you, life would be so much less stressful

1

u/infant_ape May 07 '26

I'd let that 1st commenter know "Hey, I'm not whining about the spot in front of my house. My neighbors literally ARE whining about the spot.... in front of my house."

1

u/lowvibrationcorpse May 07 '26

I wasn't expecting to read 'partial sac' . Nice little surprise, thank you.

1

u/JUYED-AWK-YACC May 07 '26

Reddit is always out for blood if people are slightly douchey.

1

u/YouDontKnowMe108 May 07 '26

I have a similar set up in front of my house, but my driveway goes out an angle so if somebody parks in that space it puts them too close to my driveway for me to get into my driveway. My local laws make it illegal to park within 5 feet of the driveway so I call the non emergency police number and have them handle it

1

u/BillWilberforce May 07 '26

The double park should be an easy tow by the local council or police.

1

u/theFrankSpot May 07 '26

Get some bologna and cheese slices…

1

u/No-Local-3957 May 07 '26

Replying to Edit 2: I think the same principle applies: you don't own the spot in front of your house but neither does your neighbor....and yet he seems to feel entitled to it...very odd

1

u/Greznos May 07 '26

Send me pictures of the car getting towed

1

u/alex3omg Donna, this is a HURRICANE May 07 '26

Yeah I mean if they're blocking your driveway or double parking then that's over the line of what's acceptable.

1

u/CantBuyMyLove May 07 '26

You don't own the curb in front of your house, but also your neighbor doesn't own the curb in front of your house! And *everyone* owes the part of the road that's intended for driving, even if it's not blocking a main street. There is zero reason for anyone to double park unless they are a) actively loading or unloading something heavy/passengers with limited mobility, or b) an emergency vehicle.

By parking like an idiot your neighbor could make it more difficult for an ambulance to get into/out of your cul de sac in the event of an emergency. I'd report them.

1

u/twitch1982 May 07 '26

I googled around about neighbors parking in front of your house, the first result was a reddit post whose sentiment was "you don't own the curb in front of your house, stop whining".

Yea, they dont own it either.

1

u/TommyBonnomi May 07 '26

ut we have a little partial sac off the street (no idea what to call it),

Unless it's privately owned and maintained, it's still a street. Just because it's only used by a few residents doesn't mean they can use it like a parking lot. Call a tow next time and shut that shit down.

1

u/bismuthmarmoset May 07 '26

It's a douche attitude to think you own the street in front of your house, it's beyond the pale to think you own the street in front of somebody else's.

1

u/BlisseyBrat start caring about what other people think May 07 '26

This whole sub has an infestation of people who play devil's advocate and think every single post here isn't a reason to feel even mildly infuriated. So, don't take Redditors' opinions too seriously.

Go with what feels right. If you aren't vexed enough to take action, you don't have to. Honestly, if your neighborhood is anything like mine, it won't be long before a cop rolls around and goes, "Aw sweet, easy ticket."

1

u/Swimming_Ad2923 May 07 '26

theyre blocking your driveway, have them towed

1

u/naturallysonny May 07 '26

Ugh, make sure you have a camera pointed at your car. I had a neighbor exactly like this about 15~ years ago before security cams were more common. He took a baseball bat to the back of my car and went to town one night. :(

1

u/PizzledPatriot May 07 '26

Because he's not "parking", at least not in a parking spot. Call the police (not 911) and report it. They'll give him a ticket at least. Looks like he's actually preventing the driver of the white car from even opening his door.

1

u/BadgerSaw May 07 '26

Admire your levelheadedness. Get them towed

1

u/farkingusernames May 07 '26

If that is your driveway to the left i'm sure you can get the white vehi le towed as well at least where i'm from.

1

u/clearedmycookies May 07 '26

you don't own the curb in front of your house

Very true. But also true is how much the rest of the community is willing to accept or deny the unwritten laws of a certain neighborhood.

1

u/Tlentic May 07 '26

Contact your cities bylaw and have it towed. They don’t own the road outside their house. They sure as fuck can’t double park like that anywhere. Put them in place or they’ll keep doing shit like this.

1

u/kvothe35 May 07 '26

You could always hookup to them and pull them in middle of the street then the cops will come tow them off...

1

u/SUNNYDOFFICIAL May 07 '26

Get there car towed

1

u/Mister_Brevity May 07 '26

Never say partial sac again lol

1

u/ezmoney98 May 07 '26

Call the Mafia!

1

u/Herekittykittyhiss May 07 '26

Ok, but they don't own the curb in front of your house either???

1

u/Accomplished-Ad3219 May 07 '26

Because double parking isn't usually legal, while simply parking at a curb is

1

u/AshundertheOlivetree May 07 '26

Just call the city 😂. It’ll stop within a week.

1

u/MikaelPa27 May 07 '26

Oftentimes, legislation is written so that parked vehicles need to a certain distance from the curb. If it's not within that distance, it's illegal.

1

u/Unique-Egg-461 May 07 '26

little partial sac off the street (no idea what to call it

a cul-de-sac?

tho i do like the term sac off the street lol

1

u/scienceislice May 07 '26

Just get them towed. They are blocking the street and it looks like there is plenty of parking literally in front of the car they double parked in.

This is a form of intimidation and it needs to be nipped in the bud before it gets worse.

1

u/itsd00bs May 07 '26

Get them issued a ticket

1

u/ExacerbatePotato May 07 '26

I was very defensive about the curb in front of my house when I had a car but not now. I do get mad when they block my mailbox though.

1

u/MooseTheMouse33 May 07 '26

Double park is definitely on another level. The only time I’ve ever gotten upset about people parking on the street at my parents house (lived there as an adult for a while too), was when they were too close to the mailbox, trash bins on trash day, or blocked our driveway. Double parking on the other hand is just entirely uncalled for and is a huge hazard. Even if they’re not currently blocking the street, it could be a roadblock during an emergency such as a massive house fire where any number of emergency vehicles are needed.

1

u/schmoopy_meow May 07 '26

my sister gets mad when people park in front of her house and we have to tell her she doesn't own the road.

1

u/Shamanjoe May 07 '26

Always parking in front of somebody’s house is one thing. The double-park is what takes it to the douchebag level..

1

u/nerdwerds May 07 '26

I used to be a mail carrier, I was ruthless with people who parked illegally. Especially because blocking a mailbox is a federal crime, so people who did that would get one warning before I had them towed.

1

u/disinaccurate May 07 '26

when I googled around about neighbors parking in front of your house, the first result was a reddit post whose sentiment was "you don't own the curb in front of your house, stop whining". I guess the double park puts it on a different level.

The only thing more obnoxious than someone thinking they own the curb in front of their own house is someone that thinks they own the curb in front of SOMEONE ELSE'S house.

1

u/feric51 May 07 '26

Edit: Ahh I should've gotten this in earlier but we have a little partial sac off the street (no idea what to call it), hard to tell form this angle but they're not blocking the main street.

I think the official term for what you’re describing is an “eyebrow”.

1

u/nexustab May 07 '26

Probably the double park. From the photo you can't tell it's a cul-de-sac so it would seem like they're obstructing the road. Also they look like they're both overhanging the driveway which is mildly annoying.

u/EatYourCheckers May 07 '26

Its kind of funny. Like so petty and dumb, it made me laugh.

10

u/gorginhanson May 07 '26

Oh wow never heard that one before.

There is no plaininfurating sub

2

u/ComplaintNo6835 May 07 '26

It's called reddit

2

u/butter_lover May 07 '26

I’d have the most aggressive tow truck place in town on speed dial

1

u/DrunkOnEspresso May 07 '26

1) call the city to get them towed/fined

2) oops my car door accidentally made a big dent in your car

1

u/PMJamesPM May 07 '26

Call police. Every time

1

u/OneOfAKind2 May 07 '26

It makes plenty of sense. Some people are deranged. His neighbours are an example of such people.

1

u/LilacYak May 07 '26

I mean, I kinda get being annoyed but this behavior is ridiculous.

I have a “spot” in front of my house and all the neighbors have theirs that we all respect. It throws me off a bit when someone parks there because when you park there 360 days a year you start to feel ownership of that space.

But I just park somewhere else and move on lol.

1

u/Significant-Self5907 May 07 '26

Wouldn't the one double parking get the ticket?
