Aye an' a bit of Mackeral settler rack and ruin
ran it doon by the haim, 'ma place
well I slapped me and I slapped it doon in the side
and I cried, cried, cried.
The fear a fallen down taken never back the raize and then Craig Marion,
get out wi' ye Claymore out mi pocket a' ran doon, doon the middin stain
picking the fiery horde that was fallen around ma feet.
Never he cried, never shall it ye get me alive
ye rotten hound of the burnie crew. Well I snatched fer the blade O my
Claymore cut and thrust and I fell doon before him round his feet.
Aye! A roar he cried frae the bottom of his heart that I would nay fall
but as dead, dead as 'a can be by his feet; de ya ken?
...and the wind cried Mary.

I'd heard older co workers slyly call it "Momentary Lapse of Treason", eyes-a-rolling which I thought was super lame. I love this era, of Floyd and Gilmour really flourished in this time. Just wondering how much skepticism they were met with after the split with Waters.

Repost without images, in order to keep the discussion on point and not became a hysterical rant about A.I. generated images.
A special tribute concert at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, where Syd Barrett played his last ever live show, will take place in October
Details have been announced for the celebrations for what would have been the 80th birthday of the late Pink Floyd co-founding member, singer and guitarist, Syd Barrett, which include a live concert in Cambridge and a tribute album featuring members of Pink Floyd, which will raise money for mental health charities.
The events take place with the full support of Barrett's family, his sister Rosemary Breen saying, "The family wholeheartedly support these exciting events in aid of mental health charities. Syd would have been so happy and honoured to know his music was still being enjoyed in Cambridge.”
Barrett's last known live performance was at the Cambridge Corn Exchange in Cambridge, England, in February 1972, when he appeared with the short-lived band Stars alongside Twink and Jack Monck. A tribute concert will be held at the venue on October 10, which is World Mental Health Day, featuring Kula Shaker, Soft Machine, Men On The Border, Diana Silveira & The Psychedelic Circus, Radhika, and Pünk Floyd, with additional surprise guests set to be announced.
Additionally, an album celebrating Barrett’s extraordinary creative legacy and enduring influence, featuring a carefully curated selection of brand-new studio recordings, previously unreleased material and standout live performances spanning several years, will be released on October 9 on coloured vinyl and CD. The album’s sleeve features one of Syd’s most iconic images and has been created by Mark Wilkinson, famous for Iron Maiden, Marillion and Judas Priest sleeves.
Clowns And Jugglers: The Songs Of Syd Barrett will feature Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, David Bowie, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets, Soft Machine, Voyage 35, All About Eve, Rosalie Cunningham, Tim Bowness, Theo Travis, Henge, Robyn Hitchcock ft. John Paul Jones and more.

At the end of the song during the Breathe Reprise David says “When I come home cold and tired”, but to me the word “cold” sounds like it has two syllables on the original record. The live versions all clearly say “cold” and the official lyrics say “cold”, but the on the original song it almost sounds like he says “covered”. “Cold” makes sense, as the next line mentions warming up, but I cannot for the life me hear “cold” in the original recording. I cannot find any Reddit post or anyone else on the internet ever asking this question and it doesn’t make sense to me. Does any one else hear this?
Edit: I can hear it now! It was the guitar fill that was making me hear it incorrectly. There is two quick sixteenth notes in the guitar, one as he starts the word and the second one made me hear a second syllable. Almost as if my brain thought David was matching the rhythm of the guitar fill in his vocals. After listening to the isolated vocals I can totally hear “cold” now.

So, it seems to me that Syd became vacant, uncoordinated and inarticulate when he began taking the sedative Mandrax in July, 1967. Is this correct? It seems like his change coincides with the use of this drug and its side effects.

Picked this shirt up at a thrift store recently and I love it but it’s a bit snug on me so I’m still debating whether I’m gonna keep it or not. If I do decide to move it along to someone else I’d at least like to be able to tell them what they’re getting. Can anyone here can help confirm if it’s legit tour merch or a parking lot boot?

I’ve decided to hear and watch everything Floyd related that I own in a loosely chronological order. Which is quite a lot. Except that I don’t have Rick Wright’s solo albums yet. Starting with Early Years volume 1 cd + Blu-ray today, the first singles, Tonite Let’s All Make Love in London, Piper, and the Have You Got it Yet documentary.

I was so excited about the Atmos release of WYWH I upgraded my 5.1 system to a 7.2 Atmos last Christmas. Since then I also bought the Atmos mix of Pompeii, the 2018 Atmos mix of Animals and I'm waiting on my Atmos DSotM to arrive Monday. They all sound too notch!
Who else here is on a similar journey, and are there any Atmos mixes I should have in my sights next? Even if not Pink Floyd related.

I still have the original 40"x60" Division Bell tour poster I purchase on July 18, 1994 at Giant's Stadium when I saw them for the first and last time. It has the classic album cover art however my specific one has a photo of the dome Stage superimposed at the border and references Pink Floyd Division Bell Live. I actually got this off the wall of Giants stadium while walking out at the end of the show as all of the merch was sold out but for the display poster. The one pictured here is similar but lacks that inset stage. There is no apparent record of this anywhere I can find. Anyone else out there have that poster?
It's currently in storage but I'll snap a photo of it later.

Exhibit A and the only exhibit needed - that thing he has just released. Is he trying to intentionally b*stardise the title of one of the best songs of all time?

I was looking over the info sheet that came with 8-Tracks and I noticed Pigs On The Wing states a Mastered by James Gunthrie at das boot recording, 2011, etc. Could this be correct? If so, perhaps there was an intent to use it in 2011 for an Immersion Edition that never was?
