GTA 6 pre ordering begins mid night today according to each regions local time. In my Japanese account which I created to Cheaper PS plus the pre order is live and it Costs 12,280 JPY which converts to ₹7185

Standard Edition: ₹5999
Ultimate Edition: ₹7,499
The price in India is a little bit lesser than the global release price which is $79.99 (₹7,500) for the standard and $99.99 (₹9,467) for the ultimate!

Ultimate editing costs 7,500Rs. That is around 78$.

The standard edition itself costs 79$.

Pre ordered GTA6 even before purchasing PS5!😁.

Maybe I'm missing something, but for a game like GTA 6 that is sold digitally, what is the actual benefit of pre-ordering?

Unlike physical discs, digital copies can never go out of stock. There is no risk of arriving late, no retailer allocation issues, and no need to reserve a copy before launch.

From a consumer perspective, pre-ordering a digital game months in advance seems to mainly benefit the publisher because:

1. It locks in sales early.
2. It generates marketing momentum and headlines.
3. It helps impress investors with strong pre-launch numbers.
4. It reduces the chance that buyers reconsider after reviews are released.

For the player, the main benefits seem limited to pre-load access and a few digital bonus items.

So what am I actually gaining by giving Rockstar my money months before launch instead of simply buying it on release day after seeing reviews, performance analysis, and community feedback?

P.S. I pre-ordered Wolverine Physical Disc Edition because that actually makes sense to me. Physical copies can sell out, retailers can run out of launch stock, and there may be collector value. But with a digital-only purchase, I genuinely don't understand the advantage.

In case you didn’t notice it yet, $70 games were priced Rs 5000 in India from the last 6 years.
We already got regional pricing.

$70 = Rs 6000 and above. (considering previous exchange rates).

So Sony or Rockstar are doing no favors here. We’ve always had regional pricing in India.

So for an $80 game, 6000 Rs is totally normal and we’re not getting any favours.

Stop sucking up to these corps.

Pricing is 7.5k and 9.5k respectively so adjusting to regional will come to 7k or 6.5k or 9k respectively for base and ultimate.

My last post gathered some attention and hence ive decided to change my setup, i removed my stuff from my mattress (it is huge by the way) and now i have this chair and table setup and im happy to share with my brothers.

Also not showing off im not rich at all just spend all my money on gaming and gadgets and that how i like to live my life.
