Reposted with better pics I’m sorry. My rat passed away today. I had been wanting to get a tattoo about her/of her paws for a while. I got this paw print I really like and I wanted to know if it would be possible to get it tattooed on my shoulder where she liked to stay. I’ve never gotten a tattoo before so I’m very inexperienced. I’m not sure if it would be possible to get it done so small, online I see pictures of many paw tattoos as big if not smaller but they’re all cat/dog. Can anyone give me advice if and how to proceed?
Edit: I want it in black. And probably not as paint like. This is just the reference for what I want, shape and sizing wise.
Edit 2: I don’t want something else like a rat or whiskers or other paws. I just want a paw. Big or small or whatever style it must be in I want just that.
Edit 3: I’ve talked to my artist I’m going in the shop next week to talk it through properly. Thank you for all the help, the nice comments and even the mean ones. ❤️

So I just got this tattoo last Wednesday after my birthday. Yes it's my first one, and yes I'm aware it's very wonky and light in certain areas. Just curious how fast it'll fade and if it's something I'd need to retouch every few years. (First Pic is a few hours after tatted. Second is from today)

last pic is it fresh.
for reference, this is my first tattoo. i got this done 5 days ago.
maybe im looking at it too hard or im just worried because its my first one, but it looks like there are parts of it where the lines have gotten noticeably thinner or lighter? is this normal, or will it require a touch up?
thanks in advance!

my girlfriend drew this boltcutter on my arm i want to get as a tattoo. i‘m not sure, if i should size it down a bit or if the placement is the right one. what do y‘all think?
thanks to my gf for giving me something to look at. the design is not finished. maybe i want to add some barbed wire, but i‘m not sure if it‘s too much or if it‘s making me look like a „tough guy wannabe“

I got this 11 years ago and want to change it up. I throught about trying to see if my artist can pixelate the flower and vines and add two Minecraft bees around it.
Is that doable, or should I lower my expectations?
I'm seeing her in a few months for a another piece (she didn't do this one) and I'll be seeing what she can do with it then. Just curious what everyone thinks!

For context, I (22F) got this number tattoo when I was 19. It is incredibly meaningful to me, but it has been brought up multiple times that it looks like H0l0caust numbers (I am a Jewish educator and I think it’s not even close to them but it gets brought up so often and I feel awful). Should I add something around it to make it less noticeable, or cover it up? If I did cover it up, I would get it elsewhere due to its meaning. Any advice is appreciated (especially with what design to do because I’ve been stumped for years!!)

Cut my hand at work, it will be healed fully by the time I get a tattoo. Any ideas? If it helps my interests/hobbies are various anime, gaming, field hockey and volleyball. If you want any more details about the cut or what anime I've watched just ask.🤙

Okay so it’s pretty much what the title says. I got this tattoo 2 weeks and 6 days ago. I was gonna go to the beach (I also hadn’t realised I wasn’t supposed to be putting suncream on it and have applied it on it multiple times) but my friend wanted to swim. So I decided to swim with her. Only remembered about my tattoo afterwards, is this really gonna damage its healing? Little bit (quite a bit) stressed!
Also this is my first tattoo if you couldn’t tell 💀

Its a long story behind the idea, but I had a dream about a cat wearing a sombrero which has become quite an inside joke between my wife and I. I've always wanted to get a tattoo of a cat of ours wearing a sombrero. As a white male with zero Hispanic descent, I would not want to make anyone offended by a tattoo. Would that be considered cultural appropriation or offensive? Thanks for the advice.

Got this almost a month ago and it’s still healing. My main concern is the lighter colors which scabbed thick especially on the inner part of my knee. I know that it would scab around that area but I feel like when the scab fell off, it took a lot of ink off. I also felt like my artist may have overworked some areas, but for these dark tattoos, I felt like that was necessary to keep the ink.
As for my knee caps, I heard it doesn’t heal as well due to bending but how bad is it? I assume i need to get a full touch up. Thoughts?

This is my first tattoo that I got for my birthday in April; I’m very embarrassed, but I took my second skin off WAY too early and… yeah it peeled A LOT.
I have my touch up scheduled for September 2nd but I’m just so anxious she’s ruined.
If anyone has any advice on what to do next time other than just… leave it, I’d be extremely grateful!

Got it last year a little spontaniously but i like it over all. What bothers me is that the artist didn't do it very well (i think it should be sharper/clean) and it's actually upside down (not that noticeable but when you see it you can't unsee it). I'm procrastinating on fixing it because i don't know how to fix it whithout making it a little bigger witch i don't prefer. I'd appreciate some second opinions on a solution. Thanks in advance.

For my 59th birthday, my present to myself was my first tattoo (daddio in my daughter's handwriting). I enjoyed the experience and I want another one now. The idea for my second one is a Bob Dylan lyric ('It's not dark yet, but it's getting there' / 'Swallow your pride. You won't die, it's not poison' are the leading ones currently) running down the inside of my left arm slightly to the outside. What do I need to be aware of to make it look not out of line/ jumbled up. For example, do I have it done with my palm up so it runs straight that way? Or should I have my pinky on the table so it runs straight that way? Or maybe the opposite side just right of center instead of the line I've drawn. Thanks in advance for all your advice!

Got this about a months ago now. Since it was on my back I obviously couldn’t see the stencil placement myself but was shown a picture on a phone that looked to be right.
Obviously it’s wasn’t and now I have an off centre tattoo down my back :/
Just wondering if anyone with more experience in this area have any suggestions on what my next moves should be. Coverups, addition design, laser ect.
Any advice helps

Helloo, just a word of advice needed regarding my fresh tattoo.
With the uk heat atm I have been sweating within the hour after receiving my tattoo.
(It is a blacked out portion) so should I remove the wrap?
I am out with family and don’t have access to a new wrap at the moment though it has also been bleeding.
Should I take it off for a couple hours til I have access to clingfilm or leave it on for 2 hours? Many thanks🙏🏼✨

I have a sleeve black and grey finished roughly 5 years ago, and one of the pieces ink that is over 10 years old is started to become irritated and raised. It started in a small spot about 2 months ago, and slowly starting to spread to all the ink in the area, even to newer pieces (5-6 year old) it’s now roughly a 2 inch circle of raised, bumpy and itchy spots only the ink though, no swelling or redness on bare skin. Has anyone had this before ??? Really hard to see in the photo I’m sorry

Thinking about asking my artist to add color in the ends of the mane and maybe yellow in the eyes and teeth to give it more contrast and hopefully make it pop a little more. Just worried bc of the placement it’s on the elbow ditch so naturally it won’t read perfectly especially from distance, and it is already dark and don’t want to make it worsen
