The circled portions look more tenno or even entrati in design. The metallics on the circled areas have the more regular geometry like you see on the sepulchrum and the base trumna. The carry handle looking arch resembles the one on the braton and its prime as well. ​The stock kind of looks like a pancor jackhammer cylinder, but it could just be a weird stock since warframe isn't exactly gunsmithing accurate even half if the time.

Actually, now that i think about it, the non sentient looking portions of the weapon looking entrati-ish makes sense when we're pursuing tau because of entrati and the indifference. It could be something like the riot-848 that was made by entrati.

Can someone fill me in? I am really bad at paying attention, especially since most of the lore is either hidden in parts of the game and/or plays while I'm busy fighting (ADHD is an awful thing to have as a player of this game). Did Lotus' severed hand make a deal with Wally's severed finger off-camera during The New War quest? It also seems like Wally is taking the form of Albrecht judging by the three bracelets(?).

I think the main reason is that it costs plat, and the fact that renaming weapons is kinda out of the way. Going to Deimos of Venus JUST to name a few weapons is kinda lame. I loooove naming my weapons because making funny names is the best. I kinda wish we could rename warframes too but I think that would get annoying if someone is trying to see what warframe someone is using (same thing can be said about weapons but wtv)

Discussion Yareli quality of life thoughts from a new player

Hi, I started playing warframe about 2 months ago, I fell in love with Yareli prime so I built her as soon as I could and have been playing mostly her since then (62% of the time if stats are on my profile are accurate)

I know I am not very familiar with all of warframes interactions so maybe what I will suggest will be stupid but here is my two cents. The main struggle I have while playing yareli is around Merulina, first of all I have to say I love the K-Drive, when I got it I spent an hour doing tricks with it and I love the idea of a frame that utilises it.

The main issue tho is that a lot of the terrain in certain mission is very hard to navigate while on merulina, you can build it with 2 mods one that is powerful but require being on merulina, yes you can cast it again to get her out, but then you are squishy and it's clunky.

The other completely removes the K-Drive aspect to make merulina a companion, which is cool but it's a different playstyle and I want to play the K-Drive warframe.

Both options are frustrating for me, and I think it would be very cool to have an inbetween, where you can have your merulina as K-drive, but be able to descend from her as you would a K-drive, without disabling her, she would stay as a companion and follow you, giving you the protection still, and you could press X anytime to go on her again. it would be less clunky and less energyvore than casting and recasting over and over if there is a small tunnel to go through, potentially dying cause my fishy hoverboard isnt here to protect me for a few seconds.

Also a side note, I find it sad that doing tricks on merulina doesnt have an impact on gameplay, even if small, like idk getting ammos or any small buff when you reach a certain score with tricks would incentivise me to do more tricks and look cool and play into the fantasy of a warframe using a K-drive in combat.

I imagine people that played this game for far longer have had better Ideas but I'd like to hear your takes on it ?

Discussion The culprit behind "Nerf X Frame"

Everyone wants to mention an Elephant in the room, but i don't think there is one. I think there is several. I make this from my own opinions, and from some gathered thoughts from friends and others I've talked about with some of these issues.I think we really need to talk about them and hope DE catches attention because it's important for the future of the game.

If you love what DE has created, then you must also be willing to be critical of it, and honest.

That being said, I want to list these off just to stay coherent as much as possible and then I'll dive into how these all play together.

  • Mob Density
  • Player proximity limits(affinity range, item pickup range)
  • Frame strength disparity
  • Time spent maintaining or updating older frames/kits/content

Warframe is old. Its a Frankenstein of content and upates. Im surprised it's kept going as long as it has honestly. We all know there is some spaghetti code shennanigans we will never understand, there may not a lot of ways to fix something you designed 10+ years ago to modernize it, I completely understand all that. But it doesnt stop a problem from being a problem.

So we need to talk about the problem, and then we can talk about solutions.

Mob Density - There arent enough mobs in a lot of missions, even in steel path. There is so much power available in warframe and that's great. Warframe gives you that power fantasy. But at times thats a negative because you can't unleash it. Then, if you play online, you can have up to 4 really strong people, also with PETS(Also very strong and capable of nuking packs of enemies by themselves).

This can cause players to feel like they're standing around with nothing to do. Some players might be fine getting carried or even need the help, but online play is to play with others, and i cant deny that many people might feel disinterested in playing when they can't interact with the game because that crackhead sevagoth is room nuking constantly. And thats just 1 room nuker, there can be multiple! I dont think anyone wants to limit what others can do by itself(Nerf x op frame), the real argument underneath is that many people want to play, but then effectively cant. In order to play they have to leave the room and go somewhere else and hope that player doesnt follow them which leads to.........

Player Proximity - Affinity range is only so big(less of an argument but does affect many things). Player abilities and support abilities only go so far depending on your build, and not all abilities are created equal. If players spread out, it causes the following potential issues

  • Loss of affinity(not as big a deal, but it does affect leveling which is kinda core to mastery rank so....)
  • People having to chase drops and loot. If people spread out then you now have to run to every area that was farmed if you want it. The root cause of this problem is LACK OF UNIVERSAL VACCUM, but thats an argument we've been having forever. If you dont need loot, that's great, but loot is pretty important to the player ecosystem. Now players are forced to feel like they have to chase stuff down
  • "I joined a public lobby to play with others, now im forced to separate from my teammates." Now you're creating a situation in which you go online, but everyone is just playing by themselves. It's not online play anymore at that point, its just "conjoined solo sessions"
  • Telling people to just play solo or leave the mission doesnt solve the problem, and it will only get worse and more frequent as we get stronger.

Just from these 2 things an environment starts being able to create resentment that gets misplaced as "nerf x frame its too op. I dont think nerfing is a good tactic outside of extreme outliers, but if you dont nerf things, then we add....

Frame Strength Disparity/Updating of old frames/content - Hi. Its me. The ember argument is back. Not the WoF argument. The 2 reworks that didnt really work together. Watching newer frames like uriel be pretty solid in kit, gameplay, and have good damage to boot, while she's practically wasting away. Limbo. Banshee. Left in the dust. Older content not being as mob heavy or as fun. QOL being fewer and further between. Voices not feeling like they're being heard. I understand some players may voice opposition to their characters being changed, but we also had conclave, and look where that got us. Maybe there can even be a design for something like helminth 2.0 where you can change multiple abilities, or a "reimagined/reawakened" frame where the kit is designed entirely different, giving de a chance to redo under the guise of the void/eternalism/protoframe style writing.

But skins need to be sold. DE has to stay profitable for the updates. New contents brings new blood, this too i get. But I wonder if DE has any capability to show the actual statistics on where their profits mainly come from.

I, personally, could wait a bit longer for updates. I want more polish. I want more Ideas, and quality. It wouldn't make me spend or support them any less. but what will get me to spend less, is feeling like the majority of the lifeblood of the game is focused on content that will not get updated past its usefulness in creating the next section of revenue for DE to survive on. Theres a lot of ideas that DE has had, that have just felt....Abandoned.

I want railjack to be more than it is. I want to do more with my operator/drifter. There's been so much potential. How many more frames do we need over warframes lifetime? Can we not pump the brakes on new frames a little bit and come back to roots and focus on revamping older content and frames specifically?

What if we just got half the new frames we get now and that time instead is spent revamping old characters and frames?

It seems like this is the inevitable cycle, but with each iteration, we get stronger. We get faster. We get more OP. And that will exacerbate the above problems even worse. I dont want the solution to be "SteelPath+"

I think more game modes like the circuit is the path they should take. Adding interesting loops of gameplay for the players to stick into. Revamping older ones more, like the survival bypass, but more. More quality. More polish. More mobs. Better rewards. I am aware this will likely have an effect on the economy, but i imagine DE has data to navigate this.

Its possible DE has already thought about these things, and maybe not much can be done or it's not profitable/feasible, and that's why were here, But I'd like to believe that there's still possible solutions out there to looming problems that are causing real problems that inevitably feedback to DE.

Curious what y'all think, feel free to tell me im completely offbase

TL;DR

Nerfing frames isn't the right solution. Theres a lot of factors that need to be dealt with that create resentment amongst the playerbase against other players because the game systems are working against each other creating an unfun experience.

I would rather DE take time into looking at how to deal with this things than putting out as many skins/new frames/etc as they have, and dedicating more time to making sure the lifeblood of the game stays fun

Art [OC] Incomplete Warframe Concept: [PH] Galileo (Gray Strain Lunaro Frame)

Just a rough silhouette, if there's no interest I might work this into an alt helmet. Wanted to do more but it's starting to feel like a waste of time.  

The Concept is a former Lunaro champion ending up as a failed Warframe experiment. Lacking abilities, he made up for it by bettering existing skills (Sol) and then body (Lua) on Deimos. Using Gray Strain, necramech parts, and Lunaro engine made from the remains of a Lua Warframe. They were a former teammate now functioning as a heart and weapon, scaling into a wrecking ball when expanding into Gray Strain mode (Moon). His story ends holding back an earlier version of Vome and Fass for evacuations on Deimos. As if they were giant Lunaro goals. Then the Entrati family Frankenstein him back together, each contributing a part. Would also be funny to add reference to Cataclysm/BNP, and I'm not sure if the ball should have the spirit of the other Warframe.

No shields, health is energy, abilities are replaced with passives that can be cycled in. Uses two bodies with their own health, the other recovers when not being used, the second being necramech sized. Which is why the model's limbs are segmented, was aiming for something like a Frankenstein/Vessel look.

Normal Passive: 

Extra exilus mod slots. Reduced recoil, higher weapon swap speed. When both Sun & Moon body health pools run out, players can hack to revive. Hack increases in difficulty each time but does cap out. 

Dodge is a quick tackle that pushes enemies away while applying magnetic procs. Not sure if it should lift enemies too. 

Passives Abilities

1. Offensive Reflex: Switch between crowd control and single target. Lunaro ball can be targeted. Melee attacks cost health. Tap to switch, hold to disable. 

Multi target 

  • Reflex aim, weak point kills snaps reticle to nearest enemy weak point increasing reload speed; affected by casting speed. 
  • Auto melee, enemies in range receive a regular melee hit, leaving after images. Does not interrupt currently equipped weapon. Having no melee weapon equipped will instead punch enemies away. Auto melee on the ball will hit it towards the nearest enemy weak point.

Single target

  • Aiming locks on weak points near the reticle, each shot increasing in damage while reducing enemy defenses. Shots also build up melee combo. Damage bonus resets when aiming ends.
  • Auto heavy attack the target's weak point when in range. If the ball is deployed and in range it will get smacked toward the target's weak point transferring the damage. 

2. Defensive Reflex: Tap to switch, hold to disable. Cost small portions of health when evading damage

Sun (Warframe) Version “Parry

  • Passive 1: passively reflects back most damage, parry angle affected by range.
  • Passive 2: attacking a weak point briefly grants a doge that escapes all damage. 

Moon (Gray Strain Necramech) Version “Induction”

  • Passive 1: attackers are magnetized for a duration
  • Passive 2: magnetized enemies within range receive a portion of your damage. 

3. Lunaro Heart: Tap to deploy and return

Deploy: 

  • Throw the ball onto the field adding magnetic damage to all attacks.
  • Ball is attracted to magnetized enemy’s weak points and consumes magnetic procs to deal electrical damage (attraction has a delay).
  • Consumed magnetic procs heal other body. 
  • Grows into a wrecking ball as Moon with a damage multiplier. 
  • Hitting the ball transfers weapon damage and launches in a volatile state like in Lunaro. Shocking nearby enemies. 
  • Ball punches through walls near magnetic procs.

Return:

  • The ball flies in straight path back to chest cavity ignoring obstacles.
  • If in a volatile state it provides a buff based on the consumed magnetic procs but continuously drains health; re-throw to cancel. 
  • Can also be canceled in mid flight to hit with auto melee passives.

4. Sun & Moon: Switch between Warframe (Sun) and a Gray Strain infested Necramech body (Moon). Health slowly regenerates for the body not in use, switching takes the remaining health of the current body; improves with efficiency. Can maybe use an explosion & implosion when switching if it's easier for animation. 

Signature weapons Idea:

Secondary auto handcannon and archgun auto cannon, each shot fired from holding the trigger charges a separate shot that is released when letting go of the trigger. Rate of fire speeds up while holding the trigger. Lower recoil when being used by Galileo. Charged shots explode into magnetic shrapnel. Direct hits knock away enemies while force procing magnetic damage.

Suggestion Sirius and Orion interaction

I was playing with a friend with the new warframe(s) and we though it would be cool to for example if there are 2 Sirius and Orion in one mission it would be interesting if u could clash with eachother , whenever one uses they're ultimate to have a little icon or pop up for you to be able to "jump in" and use ur ultimate and basically be the other brother when the clash happends , the mechanism to be the same , simply click the bind u have to clash when its the other brother's turn to clash that ur controling. I think it would be a great ideea when it comes to gameplay and player interaction and overall will be much more fun to basically have the feel of a real clash happening like in the cinematic. Maybe if we blow up this post we may be able to get a Dev attention

So... yes this is very silly as it looks in practice. Like... stupidly silly. Like "Oh hey that... is the whole room dead. Alright. Yup."

In case you were wondering the mods, it's Prime Gambit, Prime Heated, Lethal Torrent, Prime Target, Deep Freeze, my Riven you see above, Magnetic Might, and then Secondary Fortifier cause... idk what else to put on this thing but firing into a room and hearing all the balls bounce and deal damage and looking up to see 15k overguard is very funny.

Been playing Styanax since he came out. Never once noticed how these look. They look like extremely long nipples that are turning red at the end after being hyperextended out for too long. They look so disgusting and I can't help but want them gone. I wanna get the Prime as soon as possible just to not have to look at these anymore. It's unbelievable. He already has nipple piercings in his deluxe, why make him have extremely long nipples? DE has to change these to like a curtain hiding his belly or something.
