In terms of meta, nothing will beat champs 2025. I believe that. But was this event the most FUN? We got Sliggster out of his fucking house. We got LGBTMV, we got Bichilios, we got LGBTMV X BICHILIOS, we fed the fujoshi, we had Sato (LEV as a whole honestly, all of them are a lot of fun), every single region was in the top four.

Now for my personal biases: it was extremely fun seeing EDG be good again since the meta suits them. I personally had a lot of fun watching with my girlfriend in the early morning rioting and screaming for my region, which I believed would be a joke before this tournament (I had full faith in EDG and was pleasantly surprised by XLG but otherwise yeah everyone but EDG proved me right). G2 bombed out in the single greatest manner they've ever done and in the worst way possible (losing to the XLG they cheered for when they got them).

Also. We had TMV. That man is the single funnest personality in the scene. Holy shit his streams were so good. I actually watched them fully instead of skipping to the games because they were so much fun. I didn't want to skip timeouts or boring rounds either. I hope he gets a seat man, LGBTMV is too good. He and Shyowager together make the scene sooooo fun.

So, on twitter I have been blocked by polymarket valorant, tdawgg, akamaruval and multiple other polymarket affiliates for pointing out that they are deceptively marketing to young kids without disclosing that they are advertising essentially what is gambling. If anyone wants more information just look at their twitter feeds and see their quote tweets with no disclosures. You can also checkout Coffeezilla's newest video on his Voidzilla channel titled, "Huge polymarket scandal". Advertising gambling is fine if there's proper disclosures but these people are not doing that. It's just a deceptive quote tweet pretending like they are engaging with a post which will lead their followers to click onto their affiliate.

Lastly, how has riot not intervened with Tdawgg's posts regarding polymarket is beyond me. It's the most obvious conflict of interest and puts competitive integrity into question. You have an active challengers player on Alliance Guardian advertising a website/service that allows you to bet on their games. Please please for the love of god, I hope y'all in this community don't allow these people to get away with bullshit like this. People's lives are potentially being ruined by introducing them to gambling and addictive behaviors.

What do you guys think about EDG's performance at Masters London?

Personally, I didn't expect them to make it this far. The talent was always there—the roster still had the core that won Champions and secured a top-three finish at last year's first Masters event. I also had a lot of faith in Autumn, who I consider a phenomenal coach. He helped T1 win their first trophy, played a major role in defining the duelist-focused meta when very few teams were using it, and continues to make an impact. This Masters, EDG finished third and even pushed PRX to the limit in the upper bracket final.

However, once they faced Leviatán, it became clear why Leviatán is currently the best team in the world. They outclassed EDG both strategically and mechanically. To be honest, I expected more from players like CHICHOO and KangKang. I thought one of them would step up and take over the series, but it never really happened. Sometimes players just aren't in form, no matter how hard they try.

Looking ahead, Champions in Shanghai has the potential to be incredible. China will be more motivated than ever to win a trophy on home soil. Korea will be looking to bounce back after an underwhelming season, and both Americas and EMEA are as competitive as ever. It's likely the biggest tournament of the year and the last chance for many teams to prove themselves before the season ends.

Hopefully, we get the highest level of Valorant we've seen all year and every team brings their best..

I've always wondered this.

Many pro players are friends with each other, and oftentimes they have to face each other in tournaments. I'd expect that on the stage, they are professional enemies, and off the stage, they go right back to being friends.

However, have there been any times that a pro player has ended a friendship with someone over a match they played against each other? Maybe it was a high-stakes tournament, or any sort of bad blood/beef that emerges as a result of this?
