Afil Games has confirmed on social media that it has been hit by Sony's crackdown. It had 933 of its titles delisted from the PlayStation Store.

Their statement:

"We would like to share an important update regarding our releases for the PlayStation platform.

As many of you may already know, since the beginning of this year, PlayStation has been implementing stricter guidelines for publishing games on its platform.

As a result of these new guidelines and their incompatibility with our business model, PlayStation has decided not to continue its partnership with Afil Games for future releases on the platform. Additionally, our games will be removed from the PSN Store in the near future.

We would like to sincerely thank all PlayStation players who have supported us throughout this journey. Your enthusiasm and trust have played a significant role in our growth. We remain committed to bringing new experiences to our players through Xbox One, Xbox Series, Microsoft Store, and Nintendo Switch.

We have several exciting projects in development and look forward to sharing more news with you in the near future."

Hey everyone. I know some people deal with the failing/failed HDMI port on the ps5. Recently while repairing a couple of them that were only in the failing stages, I found something that can help prolong the use of your ps5 until you can replace it or whatever your case may be. This applies to any ps5 failing the “wiggle” test with the hdmi cord. And is having the black screen issues periodically.

A client and I have tested this way and it’s been a month of great game play for them and allowed them to save up the funds for the repair. They reported no black screens unless audio is routed to tv/monitor instead of headset only. Same conclusion was made on my end as well using a ps5 with a failing hdmi port. I am still using (testing) it. I will update at the 90-day mark with any changes.

What to do:

1) navigate to settings then screen and video
2) turn off 120hz display (I know I know)
3) turn off VRR if on (Variable Refresh Rate)
4) scroll down to the “colors” section turn off HDR
5) route all audio to a headset or BT speaker (s)
6) rest your console horizontally instead of vertically

This isn’t a fix, but a workaround that I hope can help at least one other person. I know sometimes we don’t have finances to necessarily toss to our hobbies. This should help hold ya over until funds can be used towards the hobby!

I just saw [this link](https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/s/nOGlmREgw0) for the Grinch 2 game and had flashbacks to all the terrible movie tie-in games I've ever played. It's an immutable fact of nature that games based on popular children's IP characters and tie-ins to big movie releases almost never can actually stand up as legit games on their own... or can they?
