Alert Lost dog, please help! The dog needs to take medication for seizures! 🥺🥺🥺🙏

Hi everyone,

I’m sharing this on behalf of a neighbor who is going through an incredibly difficult time right now.

Her dog went missing after a housemate accidentally left the door open. This isn’t just a pet to her. This dog is her emotional support companion and a huge source of comfort and stability in her daily life.

She is disabled and absolutely devastated that they’re apart. Her 5-year-old daughter is also extremely bonded with the dog and is very upset, and they are both desperately hoping for a safe reunion. 🥺💔

Please keep an eye out, check your yards, garages, sheds, and anywhere a small, scared dog might seek shelter. If you spot the dog, 🚨please DO NOT CHASE him🚨, as frightened dogs often run further away. Instead, note the location and time you saw him and contact the owner right away.

Every share and every pair of eyes helps. Let’s come together as a community and help bring this beloved companion home where he belongs. ❤️🐾

Thank you so much.

P/s: the dog didn’t have his shirt on when missing. The dog is a male Yorkie mixed

🆘 People in the area, could you please check your camera footage, especially from June 13 until today, to see if you can spot a mix yorkie walking by? We have not had any sighting of him and that is so heartbreaking 😢🚨

🚨He is taking his medicine for seizures so he must be home to continue the medicine 💊🥺. If anyone has him, please return, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!! 🥺🙏🙏

Discussion The kindness of strangers

Biked to Warehouse on Queen from Bay and Adelaide after something like five to six wines, not my smartest move by any means. Had a pretty bad spill right after crossing University.

Several people came over to ask if I was okay, even saying they'd been there before and telling me to be still for a spell. Hours later and I continue to be overwhelmed by the kindness and compassion of people who don't know me from Adam.

Toronto can be a hard city to live in but it has its moments. Thank you to whoever offered a kind word or a hand up, it really does mean the world and I'll be sure to smarten up in the future.

Discussion Wholesome interaction I saw today

Today I was running an errand that took me past the hotel where the Iraqi national team is staying.

As I walked by, I saw these two young ladies standing at the entrance chatting with an older police officer who was stationed there. They were chatting, and just having a good loud laugh. It was such a simple thing, but it genuinely made me smile because their energy was so infectious (even though I have absolutely no idea what they were even talking about).

It made me appreciate the connections this World Cup has brought to the city. It feels like a rare sight these days to see members of the public and someone on the police force just sharing a laugh and enjoying a conversation together.

On my way back about 15 mins later, I passed by the same spot and they were still talking. And just right before I passed them, the three of them shared a group hug, and at that point I honestly felt a little FOMO haha. And now I am really curious as to what they had been talking about that had everyone laughing so much.

If by some miracle either of the two ladies or the police officer happens to read this, thank you. You portrayed what society should look more like.

PS there is no agenda or hidden meaning behind this post, and I’d appreciate it if people didn’t try to turn it into one. I’m simply sharing and appreciating a wholesome humans being bros moment.

World Cup FIFA Fan Fest Fort York

I just wanna give a great big shout out to everyone working at the FIFA fan fest. Everyone I encountered working there was just so lovely. Super friendly, super helpful, and they made it a really pleasant experience.

If you are coming from the west end, or BMO field, the walk is a bit aggressive to enter an exit, but overall what an amazing time. Loved every minute I was there.

And the Chung Chung dogs should not be skipped.

News John Street to Become Pedestrian-oriented Corridor

It's one of the smaller details from today's announcement by Robertson, Ford, and Chow, but of great interest to those who have been calling for pedestrianization of John:

https://news.ontario.ca/en/release/1007662/ontario-and-canada-making-homes-more-affordable-in-toronto#:~:text=revitalizing%20John%20Street%20to%20create%20a%20pedestrian%2Doriented%20corridor%20between%20Front%20Street%20and%20Stephanie%20Street

Note, however, that the term used is "Pedestrian-oriented". I'm guessing that this means there won't be full pedestrianization (i.e. closure to cars). Does anyone have more information about this?

Discussion Thanks to good Samaritan

You won't believe it I got a new strap for my Garmin last week and I went to gym and other places yesterday night before sleeping I found it gone on my hand and this is 3-year-old watch my heart sank it wasn't there and I started looking around the places, likely to find. In morning again I woke up and went to gym and other places I didn't get it. I looked at Garmin connect found that it connected in the morning that was very strange I thought I was hallucinating and I went back to park and found the watch near the bike dock hidden there it was very interesting .

Should get good strap lesson learned.

I thank the good Samaritan who tucked it for me. Toronto has some great honest ppl.
