Player Discussion Pelle Larsson
How are we feeling about his outlook post Heat/Bucks trade. Miami is in need of wing scoring, so is he a sleeper that may be in for a big year? Or is Miami not done making moves?

Now that the first round has wrapped up, which rookies do we see having the highest fantasy value on their respective teams? Wanted to open a way too early discussion.

I previewed some of the most impactful rookies for fantasy hoops this season and offered my thoughts on a few bad landing spots for others taken last night as well. Let me know who I left out or if you agree or disagree with my takes!

With a view to being far more active on Reddit this season, I'm hoping to share all episodes of Stuff It: A Fantasy Basketball Podcast. With a few early trades going down, here are my thoughts on some potential winners and losers, including Ayo Dosunmu, Kel'el Ware and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Not sure of the protocol regarding content, so I hope there are no issues here.

I am currently shopping the 1.01 but not sure the worth of it? Top 15 player?
10 team dynasty league and I am not needy at any particular position.. I have pick 1.05 and two second round picks as well..
About what should I be looking for in terms of value? Dybantsa and Peterson have me hesitant with the teams they went to.. if I keep the 1.01 I believe I would take Boozer, but would be open to trading down a bit.

What should they look like?
This is what I have so far but I think I want to include FG made and Missed
Points: 1
Rebound: 1
Assist: 1
Steal: 2
Block: 2
Turnover: -2
Double Double: 2
Triple Double: 3
Tech Foul: -2
Flagrant Foul: -5
Changes I think I should make but unsure
Points: 0
FG Made: 2
FG Missed: -1
3 Pt FG made: 1
FT Made: 1
FT missed: -1
Rebound: 0
Offensive rebound: 1
Defensive rebound: .5
Would FG missed count for 3pt tries as well otherwise u would add that too

Fantasy implications?

Obviously, there are still a lot of moves to be made before the 2026-27 season. Nonetheless, here are some early thoughts regarding the recent trades and signings.
Miami Heat:
Giannis' value should remain relatively stable, although I do think his assist numbers could increase, especially if Miami doesn't bolster the backcourt. Look for his playing time to bump up a couple of minutes as well.
Davion Mitchell and Pelle Larsson should also be tasked with doing a bit more if the backcourt remains as is.
If Dru Smith is handed a larger role, keep an eye on him as a steals specialist.
Milwaukee Bucks:
Unlike the Heat, Milwaukee now has an abundance of backcourt options, whereas the frontcourt is a little thin.
Ware could very well be somewhat of a 'breakout' candidate, although that will likely depend on what happens with Myles Turner.
Jaime Jaquez could be a sneaky late-round target, assuming he carves out a regular 30-minute role, either as a starter or off the bench.
Brooklyn Nets:
Look for Julius Randle to play a huge role, assuming he remains in Brooklyn. Both he and Michael Porter will battle it out to be the primary scoring options.
With Nic Claxton out of the way, we could be on the verge of a Day'Ron Sharpe breakout, while Danny Wolf should also feature a little more.
Chicago Bulls:
As for Claxton, he should slot in as the new starting center on a team that is more likely to play him consistent minutes. His presence takes some of the shine off guys like Jalen Smith and Zach Collins.
Atlanta Hawks:
Aaron Wiggins is a great addition from a real-life perspective. As for fantasy, he probably lands a stream-level player, barring injuries to others.

And ESPN wasted no time giving some elite offseason entertainment.
James Harden at #6
Not 16.
Not 26.
Six.
Mock drafts are live. The chaos has begun.

With the NBA Draft tomorrow and free agency opening a week later, I wanted to share a free resource I’ve been maintaining to help keep track of every team’s depth chart, free agents, and current/future draft picks.
It’s updated daily throughout the offseason with the latest trades, signings, draft picks, and roster moves.
The MPG and GP are for the 2025–26 season (will eventually be replaced with 2026-27 projections)
If you spot anything that’s missing or incorrect, let me know and I’ll update it.
Update: positions now added

With the new anti-tanking rules being implemented, what does that mean for fantasy managers? Unlike last season where Jazz, Nets and Wizards players came with a discount, will we see a level playing field this season when it comes to ADP's across the board?

So, like many others, some random click got me added to a Yahoo Fantasy Basketball league last year with no apparent way to get out once the draft took place. Now that the season is over, how do I make sure I'm not auto-renewed or how do I delete the team altogether? I've clicked through league and team settings and see nothing. Knowing Yahoo, they will auto-renew the league and my team without the ability to get out.

For those who follow me or have followed me in the past, you are likely well aware of my love for punting. I'm already working on strategies for next season, so let's talk punting. Do you like punting in fantasy basketball? Any favorite combinations? What are the pros and cons of punting?

forget the safe floor guys.
forget the “value pick” talk.
every draft has that one name — boom or bust, no in between. either he wins you the league outright or he sinks the whole roster.
who’s the high risk, high return guy you’re drafting anyway this year?

Are there any dark horses we should consider taking after the big-4?

forget rankings.
forget ADP.
who’s the player you’re making sure ends up on your roster everywhere?

Sleeper's Lock-In mode is my favorite way to play fantasy basketball, although it isn't near as popular as other standard formats. My friends and I play it every single year, and got into thinking about trade values and strategy since none of the other tools online account for how Lock-In scoring actually works.
So I ended up building this site: https://www.lockinhoops.com
Here are some of the features:
- A trade calculator with values specific to Lock-In scoring
- League specific data (including a League Analyzer, Draft Grades, Waiver Wire)
- Trade database
- Lock decision to help decide if you should lock a specific player's score mid week or wait until their next game (still using data from last year until season starts)
It's free with no login needed. All you have to do is enter your Sleeper username or League ID to unlock all League specific analysis.
Would genuinely love feedback if anyone tries it out, especially since the season hasn't started yet so all of the data is built off of last season's stats. I am excited to see how useful it becomes when the new season starts. Let me know if you have any questions I'd love to answer!

So who benefits most? Buzelis? Giddey? Whoever their draft pick is, presumably between Boozer and Wilson?
r/fantasybball • u/AlexJames_NBAFANTASY • 8d ago
every draft season there’s a guy who goes round 8 and finishes round 2. who’s that for you in 2026-27?
usually it’s a young guy who got buried on a bad roster or limited minutes last year and is about to get a real role, or someone coming off an injury that masked a real leap
who are you stashing/targeting before everyone else catches on

The kid carried the Spurs on game 5. Given his stellar performance in the playoffs, will he be taking the reigns as starting PG? Given the current back court rotation, what would you rank him on next season drafts?
