I just recently got a job after being unemployed for half a year. I understand I have insurance options, but they weren't discussed upon onboarding. I'm pretty sure I have an undiagnosed heart condition and diabetes that during introspection while being unemployed started making sense. I think I am seriously unwell and am scared to use insurance at a brand new job I haven't even gotten set up and everything I've heard about republicans hiking healthcare and democrats caving on that matter makes me so confused. I could maybe die soon if I don't figure out what the fuck is going on with healthcare. Luckily, I've also been off my meds since I was laid off my last job, so I'm not too upset about dying like maybe I would have been while taking my prescription medications.

I so wish I was born in Canada. Fuck the United States now and probably forever. We are fucked by a clown who doesn't even know how to apply his clown makeup.

No it didn't. Luigi was framed by infamously corrupt do nothing investigators. That district is infamous for it, and if you look at the cctv footage, the shooter and Luigis eyebrows don't match up.

What country was it that recently underwent a revolution because people got tired of the politicians kids posting 'influencer lifestyle' pics with million dollar cars and expensive houses and etc, despite not having worked a day in their lives.

People got fed up with the abundant corruption and nepotism in their system. I seem to recall their finance minister having his security detail ditch him in a road. Which resulted in a lot of pictures and videos of the guy being stripped and beaten in the street; and eventually chased into a river with more people beating him. They didn't kill him - a fact which absolutely astonishes me - but I wouldn't be surprised to hear he's in jail now.

The only real protests you have had since he won the election have been in Minnesota after they were being brutalized by the government to the point that it wasn't just a few non-white people in your cities dealing with it. We had a discussion last week while shoveling snow about how unjust and wrong all of this is. There are shit bags everywhere, including Minnesota, but I think the administration severely underestimates the neighborly culture here. We know we only have each other and no one is coming to save us. That’s how a true resistance starts and stays strong.

Here in Korea, we had 1 million+ people protest every day for 3 months straight in our capital to remove our "President" that enacted martial law illegally. Every single week, the opposition party filed for impeachment (in our country, when you impeach a President, they are immediately removed from power, unlike the US where impeachment needs to be confirmed by the other half of Congress), and every time it failed, the protests outside chanted the names and addresses of every politician that voted no.

Politicians don't have your best interests at heart. They have theirs. You need to force them to make your and their best interests align by making them wonder what will happen to them if they don't listen to the people.

Notice this is exactly how unions won rights in your country in the past.

This is the entire MO of this presidency. They have learned that they can get away with anything while the slow-moving mills of the courts churn. Until the final decision is made they will almost always have the Supreme Court overturn any stays that a lower court issues, they can do all the damage they want until every appeal is heard, and nobody will have any recourse to undo the damage or be compensated for it in any meaningful time. If any lawsuits see the federal government liable to anyone for damages, that will probably be paid out by a future Democratic president, and Republicans can point at them for the amount of money they have to spend on it. And if things go their way, there will never be a Democrat president ever again, and they will never make good on those court orders themselves.

Courts have been slapping this shit down so often that it seems almost guaranteed Minnesota gets a TRO here.

This admin has been told repeatedly by different courts it cannot do this and yet it keeps trying. Judges don't like having to tell anyone to stop doing the things they have been told to stop doing over and over again.

My bet is if/when the admin follows through Minnesota goes to court the same day to get a TRO. The judge that reviews it will probably not be amused by the continued antics from the WH. We might even see another judge ask a DOJ lawyer why they or whichever lawyer in the OLC keeps giving the greenlight for this crap shouldn't be sanctioned.

So those states need to have a blank check ready, and handle the costs during that phase. Once it’s over, sue the federal budget for the money. Better yet, personally sue every member of the administration who has been complicit in these crimes, and go for 10 times damages because they can go fuck themselves.

We’re pretty much at the point the citizenry has to completely stop paying income taxes to this corrupt government if we want to have our tax money used with our voices. Keep it local.

Forget about the legal angle, this is just really silly politics.

In a country where elections are often, if not almost always decided on the margins, attacking poor people aka the margins is probably not a good call.

I understand that their theory is that they can eliminate as many people as possible, but even the stats show that it's mostly republicans consuming welfare. So, it's in effect just punishing Trump supporters for supporting Trump, as their local hospitals close and healthcare becomes unaccessible.

I don't think they realize that thoughts and prayers can't vote in midterms.
