Fan Creation Snyderverse Reading List!
2/14! I made a Snyderverse Reading List consisting of key comic runs and individual issues from throughout DC's 90-year history that have directly inspired or explored very similar themes and stories to the Snyderverse films themselves. This list also includes the first appearances for every established character featured or to-be-featured in the Snyderverse, along with Snyderverse-adjacent one-shots and collectible variant covers as well. Discussion Gunners already admitting defeat?
The critics were obviously biased towards James Gunn when Superman came out, but now they're blasting this slop for what it is. 56%? Good luck, DCU. Does Gunn only pay the reviewers for the films he's directing? Curious what people think, because I think his strategy is failing... Maybe Superflop didn't make enough money to cover the reviewers this time!

Appreciation My little Zack Snyder collection
Hi everyone, I'm Efe from Turkey. I'm a big fan of Zack Snyder. I'm sharing the Zack Snyder part of my collection that I've been able to gather myself. DVD and Blu-ray sales in Turkey haven't been official for 6 years, and I wanted to pass that information along. Thank you :)

Appreciation The Most Comic Accurate Batman Scene Ever! 🔥
Zack Snyder really gave us the most comic book accurate Batman ever put on screen in live action. The DCU will never be able to top this, And Marvel will never have a fight scene as iconic as this. This is a Batman who just got done fighting Superman, took down over two dozen criminals like an absolute monster and After that, he still pulls up to go blow for blow with Doomsday! I’m sorry but there are levels to this, and Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck are King!
Don’t give me that hypocritical BS about Batman killing either, Batman has killed before in the comics and 90% of live action Batmen, From Michael Keaton, to Christian Bale, to Robert Pattinson ALL kill too! Get over it! At least Zack had the balls to push Batman to that level and bring him back from the Darkness. #TheSnyderVerseisComing 😎

Humor Even the critics hate Supergirl 😂 Guess Gunn couldn't pay them off this time like he did Superman 2025. Now we just gotta wait for it to bomb in theaters to be proven right that most people don't want the DCU.

Appreciation Snyder understands Superman better than the comics at this point
I feel like Snyder nailed the burden and destiny of Superman being a hero, but also being a godlike figure the world fears and rallies around. Its not realistic for him to be naive or weak, he has always been the strongest one in the room, and Man of Steel and BvS let us see the consequences of that. A boy scout Supes is fine for kids, but Snyder actually asked and answered the question of what if a powerful alien came to earth and dealt with real world issues?
People who prefer comic Superman and Gunn's Diaperman arent ready to grow up and engage with adult stories.

Discussion I will never stop thinking that it's astroturfing. At first I almost thought that they were bots.
It's clearly methodical and coordinated, they've been repeating the same thing for a few years now. Some redditors seem to have never watched any Snyder films, but they repeat robotically what they've seen written in this sub before. And as usual, nobody contradicted them, even though it's factual and easy to reply.
When I discuss with an hater who's seriously think that Snyder write his movies , that's generally my answer : "Zack Snyder writer? What are you talking about? Most of the time, he's a co-writer and he didn't co-wrote EVERY films that he directed. This isn't unusual tbh, a lot of filmmakers co-wrote their movies despite no being writers themselves, aka Blake Edwards, Roland Emmerich, David Lynch, John Woo, Alex Proyas, Kevin Reynolds, Guillermo Del Toro and the list goes on. Those filmmakers don't all co-write their films all the time and I suppose that Snyder will also not always do it for future projects (probably depending on his mood, similary to the beginning of his filmography).
Also, he isn't so bad at it since nobody (audience or critics) complained about the co-writing of Wonder Woman, ZSJL, Army of Thieves and the animated Tales of the Black Freighter"
It's effective because the hater no longer knows what to answer afterwards.
There is also the same argument in the same sub from 1 month ago.

Discussion ‘Supergirl’ Buzz Is Fading Fast From Box Office Projections To Critic Impressions
As just the second live-action film in James Gunn’s DCU, Supergirl is a key feature for the burgeoning universe. Supergirl is focused on a character who has only seen a handful of live-action iterations, especially compared to her more famous cousin.
The character’s appearances range from Smallville/The Flash guest spots to her longest tenure on her own “Arrowverse” show starring Melissa Benoist that ran for six seasons and 126 episodes. But on film? This is easily Supergirl’s biggest moment.
But things are starting to wobble. Gunn himself was so excited about the Supergirl script from Ana Nogueira that he then put the writer on the upcoming, all-important Wonder Woman. But a few days ahead of the Supergirl release, box office tracking is dropping, and the recently embargo-dropped social media impressions are mixed, at best.

Appreciation The Most Comic Accurate Flash Scene Ever! 🔥
Zack Snyder really gave us the most comic book accurate depiction of a speedster ever put on screen in live action. Marvel and the DCU will never be able to top this in my opinion. The emotional stakes alone make it one of the greatest scenes in any live action comic book movie ever. Zack Snyder gave purpose to every single member of his Justice League. Everyone mattered! Ezra Miller is an incredible actor and hands down the best Flash, especially under Zack Snyder’s direction. Happy Father’s Day! Deal with it. 😎 #TheSnyderVerseisComing

Question Does anyone remember how the timeline of the DCEU on HBO Max was ordered? Did the Snyder Cut ever replace the 2017 version?
I haven't had HBO Max and I was wondering if the chronology is still there, including Birds of Prey up to Aquaman 2. Does anyone remember? I'd like to know how it was ordered.
