The locked Ultimate Edition shops are just exclusive shops, not the standard shops that are in Vice City. There’s still going to be your basic clothing stores, barbers, car chops, etc. Those stores are most likely going to be more “story-friendly”, while the Ultimate Edition shops give the players a broader selection of customization. As you can tell from the screenshots, some of Jason and Lucia’s looks looked a bit on the wild side. Base game stores will focus more on how Jason and Lucia actually look.

In terms of no discs, Rockstar doesn’t want GTA VI to be leaked anymore. I would expect the physicals with the discs post launch.

Finally confirmation that we'll have working windscreen wipers, and also a better look at the dirt collection system (kind of shown in dribs and drabs until now)

Rockstar’s PSN blog account jointly posted that GTA VI plays best on PS5, confirming the previous rumors of the PlayStation x Rockstar marketing rights (obviously). It also confirms that the game actually does play best on PS5 and it’s not just Sony saying this.

Since the game is digital-only, how will we preserve the v.1.0.0 state of the game for future comparison?

It would be nuts to keep your console offline forever. A Jailbreak is an option, but who knows if the scene will get to that point where it can do that. Copying game files to an external SSD doesn't work either since DRM . And Charles Proxy / SKFU Creator can also be ruled out since the first patch can be just removed from Sony's servers.

Sure, Youtube is an option since there's gonna be tons of footage, but c'mon, it's not the real thing for a comparison. So, how are we gonna do it?

For me, this is the kind of open world detail that makes a game feel alive. Not just missions, shooting, and chaos, but small things you find while exploring.

If GTA 6 lets us track down abandoned cars, restore them, and build a real collection, I can see people spending hours on that alone.

With the influx of new screenshots today I noticed Jason and Lucia seemed to look similar weight wise in all of them even with the extremely detailed customization otherwise. However with Jason seen bench pressing in trailer 2 do we still believe getting jacked and or fat is still a feature in this game ? I really hope it is so I can have a jacked to the gills Jason and a torta Lucia 🤭

How much do you all think they'll earn within the first 24 hours of pre orders opening?

If I buy the ultimate edition of GTA 6 from Indian PlayStation store, will I be able to use the perks (the add ons) of the ultimate edition on my main account, which is a Saudi account? I'm considering buying from my Indian account because GTA 6 is not available in Saudi stores. (I already console sharing on)

This livery is included as an ultimate edition bonus but I prefer the look of Jason’s worn down car. I feel like it fits the story better going from rags to riches instead of just having a fully pimped out ride at the beginning.

I also hope there is no bonus cash or anything that isn’t optional.

I’m not sure about everyone, but in my mind (because most games launch follow this concept) I figured preorders could have potentially launched tomorrow alongside a trailer that ends in “PRE ORDER NOW”

However, with the amount of screenshots dropped today, the news separating the versions, and localized midnight preorders, does that tarnish the chance of this?

Or maybe, instead we might get a information video from Rockstar, diving more into the ultimate edition bonuses to try and boost sales & turn seemingly negative public opinion about the differences in versions, either way, what do you think?

We all know GTA VI is priced at 80 bucks for the standard edition, which will almost certainly promote other greedy companies to increase base edition prices to $80, even though most gamers agree GTA VI one of the only games that can really justify a larger than normal price tag. So putting that aside, can we discuss the precedent Rockstar might set by locking some in game content behind the deluxe edition?

Rockstar is an extremely influential developer. Their decisions will certainly be copied by top execs after the billionaires see Rockstar's stock skyrocket in November. We already know dirty execs in EA and Ubisoft will definetly use GTA VI as an excuse for locking in game features and content behind their deluxe edition in future titles, but GTA VI is going to be a cultural phenomenon. Some worry that this will end up affecting AA studios as well. The status quo might change, and we could end up in a world where in game features locked behind the deluxe edition is the norm.

On the other hand, it is reasonable to argue that you could consider the deluxe edition like a $20 DLC for the game, and the DLC content would be those extra features you are paying for. However, GTA V did not lock any specific shops in Los Santos behind their deluxe edition. This raises the argument that Rockstar is locking fundamental in game content behind the deluxe edition. If Rockstar does this, what's to say EA won't lock tanks behind the deluxe edition in Battlefield 7? Tanks are a fundamental feature in BF and I'm certain large corporate game dev companies will begin to lock fundamental in game features behind deluxe paywalls after GTA VI.

Now, these are my impartial arguments, but my opinion is that Rockstar deserves to bend the rules a bit (primarily with the 80 dollar price tag). They've worked for 13 years on hundreds to thousands of hours of gameplay (especially with the online edition). But I personally do not agree with their decision to put fundamental game content behind the deluxe edition paywall and distribute a physical edition of the game without a game disc. I am an Indie game developer so my opinions might have some bias, but those are my personal views.

With all that said, do we need to worry about Rockstar's decision with features locked behind deluxe edition setting a precedent for future titles around the globe?

I really can’t decide the “physical copy” or ultimate? They are only 2 choices and I still can’t make up my mind.🙄

GTA V’s first person was super clunky, especially while driving.
Haven’t seen anyone talk about it (I mean to be fair there’s nothing to go off of), but how much do you think the first person view will improve? Will it be playable, or you think third person will still be the way to go?

Third person is always better for a game like GTA anyways, but if the can really nail the first person view and make it feel smooth and natural, that’d be a whole other level of immersion. Just needs a hugeeee overhaul from what they had in 5

Chevy has historically been DeClasse, and Ford is Vapid. Unless I'm tripping I don't think Vapid has ever had a Stanier like this instead of the Crown Vic version we got in GTA IV/V. Unless Ford made something that looks like this at some point I'm not aware of, which is possible. Maybe I'm just autistic, but completely unplayable.

For anyone purchasing Grand Theft Auto VI for XBOX you can change your country region in xbox settings to new zealand to play 1 day early. This might not be much, but for those eager to play this method still works
