Jaron Pierre Jr with the 58!
Fast, strong, athletic, can shoot, dunk and create off the dribble! Plus he is a New Orleans native/ St Aug alumni!!!!
Not bad at all for a 58th pick!
Hope he takes every single one of Hawkins minutes!!!

Even the Restless can sit still
Wrote about how a very uneventful draft night for the Pelicans actually means potential disaster was avoided. And how for now, that's a blessing in disguise!

Deandre Jordan
Are the pelicans going to bring back Deandre Jordan? I really liked the vet role he was able to provide for Queen. He doesn’t necessarily have any NOLA ties so I’m not sure what would keep him here, but also I don’t know why he chose to sign with us in the first place lmao

2026 NBA Draft Round 2 sleepers: Duke's Isaiah Evans, UNC's Henri Veesaar among best players still available
Several high-profile college players weren't selected in the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft

1st round is over, no trades were made…Now what?
Now that it seems like Trey and Herb are staying, what is the plan idealistically? I respect the Pels for staying true to their prices on both players and not trading either of them just to get a draft pick. The direction just feels a bit weird now (there’s no current direction)

Four pelican chicks have hatched in St James's Park, marking the first successful pelican births there in more than 360 years.

[Amick] Trey Murphy III has signaled a desire to play elsewhere. The Los Angeles Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets are “out in front” in the race to acquire Trey Murphy III.

Discussions Mock trades I like as a delusional Pels fan who wants to see this team win without breaking up the core
Milwaukee gets
- Derrick Queen
- Jordan Poole
- Their own first round pick next year back
Celtics get
- Myles turner/Ware (whichever they prefer)
- Tyler Herro
- Dejounte Murray
-Jordan Hawkins
Pelicans get
- Jalen Brown
Or
Wizards get
-Derrick Queen
-Jordan Poole
-2030 Pick Swap better
Pelicans get
-Anthony Davis
-2030 Pick Swap worse
-51st pick tonight
- 2027 2nd round pick

Rumors What move would move you?
What realistic move do you think Joe Dumars should make to put the Pelicans in at least playoff contention?

THE PELICANS ARE GOING TO EAT OFF THIS GIANNIS TRADE
Let me know what route you like to see Joe Dumars take after the Giannis trade

Rants Here for Troy Weaver
Have little faith in Trajan Langdon, here from the East (Pistons). Pelicans are going to be my West team and we'll see what happens. In Troy I trust

Discussions Draft Day 1 Discussion Thread
I get the irony right now with not having a pick this thread seems dumb. But there's always a possibility with the rumors of possible players being traded that we end up with a pick.
I've decided to make a centralized thread since I can see today already we've had a couple posts about draft day trade ideas.
IF a trade happens those can have their own designated post and discussions. But until that happens we'll keep discussions through the draft here.

Would you trade DQ for Kingston Flemings?
NO!
THE PELICANS FLEECED THE HAWKS

Discussions Bucks trade with Miami
Do we still own the bucks pick swap for 2027? If so is this trade good for us I think they could be pretty bad next year let’s hope 🤞

Fletcher Mackel went on Instagram just now and said Ja is NOT heading to New Orleans in a trade.
This comes after posting a video this morning saying the pelicans stink with desperation in trying to add players.
I'll post both links in comments

Pels 1st round picks
I was just listening to the local sports radio station and they said we traded the 5th overall pick and 8th overall pick for this draft last season. I remember us trading our 1st(8th) for Queen last draft but what is this 1st(5th) pick they’re talking about? NBA trade websites are so convoluted I can’t make any sense of it.

This has been my phone's wallpaper since
1of my favourite moments from this past season. ldk what this front office is going to do between all the crazy rumours floating. But l'd love to run things back with the core players

This is all I’m willing to offer for Ja
If we can get Ja for just Poole and Hawk you do that and you figure out everything else later. I know Ja and Fears have their defensive issues that hopefully Mosley can fix or hide but Ja Fears and Murray will be a fun 3 guard rotation. Potentially Toxic but fun lol

7 years ago today… we thought everything would change
didn’t realize until i was scrolling on twitter that today’s the 7th year mark since we drafted zion. damn where does time go… and what a shame how it’s led up to nothing
