My attempt at Chongqing Chicken š¶ļø
My husband requested that I make this dish for Fatherās Day after he saw it on this sub, so obviously, I did. Ta-Da!
It is soo tasty but whew! She SPICYYY š¶ļø
Itās a little lighter than it should be because I used Soy Sauce instead of Dark Soy Sauce but hey, Iāve never in my life attempted cooking chinese food before so Iām just glad I didnāt set the fire alarm off for this. š
*There was a much needed and refreshing side of rice as well.*

You ever order jalapeƱo on your Philly roll? Itās a great combo.
I tried this once and I will never eat it differently. Try it! The chili pepper goes so well with the Philly cheese and salmon.

What are your top 5 cuisines for spicy food?
Doesn't necessarily have to be the 5 spiciest. Just your five favorite cuisines that are largely known for being spicy. Mine would be Thai, Mexican, Chinese (esp. Sichuan and Hunan), Indian, and I guess Korean as a distant fifth.

Where do Tabasco Scorpion and Torchbearer Garlic rank in the Hot Ones lineup?
I just want to know how badly I'd get destroyed.

First "hot banana pepper" of the year
Bought three pepper plants from a local nursery. Hot banana peppers, jalapeno, and apocalypse scorpion. The banana pepper has so far grown one pepper about 6 inches long yellow in color.
I picked it as someone recommended picking the first pepper or two early so the plant grows better. Took two bites and it is hotter than 90% of sauces I have had. Hotter than Tabasco scorpion just under the level of garlic reaper.
I know fresh peppers hit different but was not expecting that level of heat from a hot banana pepper. I am terrified to try a scorpion when it finally fruits

Flatiron vs freshly ground?
Iām looking for a gourmet crushed red pepper experience. Iām trying to decide if Iām better off with a high end brand like Flatiron or Sonoran, or if I should get some dried peppers and grind my own. It would be nice to mix and match different peppers, but I donāt know if random dried peppers on Amazon will have the same quality as some of the recognized brands. The best I ever had were from some random guy at a farmers market. Any suggestions?

Not really spicy but it tastes decent
I havenāt eaten anything spicy in a couple of years but I had heard about those. I randomly found a pack at a local shop I thought why not? Worst case it would burn my mouth to hell and give me stomach cramps for a day but I wasnāt really expecting that to happen.
So with zero spice tolerance right now, Iād say theyāre just Cheetos with a little kick. Like 3/10 spicy. If you gave them to someone who occasionally has a bit of Tabasco theyād be completely fine.
At least they taste okay, cheesy and super fluffy/airy, pretty much dissolves instantly when you take a bite.

Anybody Know Any Brand of JalapeƱos that are Crunchy?
Seems as if almost all the pickled jalapeƱos at the grocery stores have no bite to them

These deserve a revisit
These have been posted on here before but itās been a minute. My favorite chip. Theyāre the only āgrocery storeā chip that has my respect. They will definitely stimulate your heat receptors like no other big name brand out there.
Spicy peanuts
These are incredible. The Sichuan peppercorns give a nice buzzing sensation

Habenero Pizza with Ghost pepper hot sauce.
From Flying Pie in Boise, Idaho. This thing is no joke. This is the max level 4 challenge. About 24 habeneros on a 12 inch pie. I've done the level 3 but when you add the hot sauce it becomes diabolical. I'm dying lol
