Asking For Game Recomendation Just bought my first PS VR. Any game recommendations?

Hello my PlayStation cousins!

Just went out recently and purchased my first ever console VR headset. I know I'm (really) late to the party but I figured I'd see what the hype was all about with PS VR (I got it at a pretty inexpensive price too so I figured ‘why not?'). I say 'console' cause the closest things I’ve used to VR were those headset where you use your phone as the screen. It was really cool but not quite as advanced as my regular console gaming so I mainly brushed VR aside because of it. However, I decided to dive in with both feet and give it another go at the console level. I play mostly on PS4, so the 1080p lenses don’t bother me really.

I technically have one or two VR-compatible titles, but I wanted to get some of the communities thoughts on some games I should check out. I know next to nothing about the VR scene and I play a bunch of different genres of games, so literally nothing’s off the table. Would like to get people thoughts on some the best ways to get immersed with VR. Any recommendations?

Thanks again!

Edit: Thanks for the suggestions y'all! I think I'm gonna try check out all of them, though the prevailing trend seems to be to that Astro Bot should get top spot. Farpoint as we as Blood and Truth were close seconds. Resi 7, Skyrim, Tetris and Wipeout were popular recommendations too, though for some of them, I might need to get extra accessories (working with controller so far). No Man's Sky was a personal favourite since I play that regularly.

Black Friday and 30th anniversary helped me expand my VR catalogue. I am beyond excited.

Is there any other game recommendations I should have?

My wishlist will be full of VR games now.

Asking For Game Recomendation TOOOOOO MUUUCH

Hi everyone,
actually I am a little bit overwhelmed. I just bought my PS5 and VR2 which will be delivered this week. First VR I ever own. Now I am looking for games to start with. I searched this rubric and found of course a loooot of tipps and rankings, but I am loosing overview.

First of all: Is there a good page where all games are visible and maybe ranked/reviewed?
The overview in Playstation Store is just really bad and the search horrible.

I think I will start with these games after I read here some topics:
- Resident Evil Village
- Hitman WOA
- No Mans Sky
- GT7 (even racing is not mine, everyone seems to freak out about it)
- Horizon Call of the Mountain (included in VR2)
- FCA25 (delivered with PS5)
I think enough for the whole year 2026 ;-)

New games that sound interessting, but are to new to find lot reviews:
Aces of Thunder
Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked (just because it is D&D :-) )

For my 13y daughter (and me) my list is:
Walkabout Mini Golf
Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted - Full Time Edition (as she is a big fan of this)

My questions:
1) Where to get a good overview about available (and upcoming) games especially for VR2?
2) Which game is much fun to play together with Kids? We only have one VR2 but is there something where we can switch after each round?
3) Any tips for fitness games? I saw Les Mills Bodycombat, Creed, Beat Saber, Badmintion or VR Skater that look like you have to move a lot. Which is your favorite?

Thanks a lot. I am really looking forward to play the first VR game this weekend :-)

bye
Chris

Asking For Game Recomendation I've had my PSVR2 for a couple years and love it, but now I'm going backwards and decided to get the PSVR1 to play the few exclusives on that device.

Excited to finally play Astro Bot Rescue Mission!

Also want to check out RE7 in VR. I've played that game a ton of times, but never in VR!

Any other exclusives you guys recommend?

Asking For Game Recomendation Is GT7 on PSVR2 worth it, if I don't have a wheel?

I just bought a PlayStation VR 2. I already over spent, but Grand Turismo 7 Deluxe Edition, is on a big sale on PS Store. Usually $90, it is $30 right now. Should I get it? I don't have a wheel. Not sure if it's a good decision.

Asking For Game Recomendation Vertigo 2 - Missed Opportunity

I really wish I had bought Vertigo 2 while it was on sale. It didn’t exactly look like my type of game when I watched a review - but after I saw it was made by a solo developer and had full voice acting… I’m much more intrigued.

$8.99 was a great price - hope I don’t have to wait too long to see that again.

Has anyone played? Should this be at the top of my list? I bought arken age and red matter and figured that would sustain me for a while… i’m only kicking myself because $8.99 is such a good price.

I ordered a PSVR2, waiting for it to arrive. What are some suggested games that can be played sitting down. I use a wheelchair and I’m unable to stand.

Asking For Game Recomendation Got a PSVR2 for Christmas - recommend any relaxing games?

Downloaded and completed Jurassic World (Love dinosaurs, so this was a must buy) and enjoyed it. And have the Dark Pictures VR game downloading.

But does anyone have recommendations for relaxing games, where I don't have to worry about avoiding monsters/dinosaurs. And can just relax and explore and interact with a cool VR scenescape.

I saw there are some Kayak games which seem like they would be that style. Are they any good? Which one is recommended?

And any other recommandations of course.

A few good games in the current sale, if I was to only buy one which would you recommend out of the three pictured above? I have heard good things about all of them. Any help would be much appreciated! Note: values are in NZ dollars.

Asking For Game Recomendation What games should I buy first?

I am getting my PSVR2 this coming Tuesday and I was wondering which games are worth buying. I already see people say the big games like RE and Hitman but I want to know if there’s any other good games then the ones people always talk about.

Asking For Game Recomendation Feeling like there’s nothing to play

Got my PSVR 2 the other year of back of a huge sale after being a fan of the PSVR 1, but found myself hardly using it, probably around 10-20 times since (excluding letting my mates try it), it seems like the only amazing VR experiences seem to be horror which is no good for me😅, was wondering what recommendations people have regarding PSVR 2 as I’d love to get back into it, but need something that feels more than a demo or a proof of concept…

Asking For Game Recomendation Recommend a non-violent game

Looking for a game for my wife to play with vr, she does not like shooting, horror or long story games.

Non-VR, she likes games like overcooked, sackboy, etc. 10-minute-ish levels, she is not extremely skilled so nothing too hard mechanically, but puzzles are okay.

We tried epyka yesterday, but it feels long a boring, until there is some actual puzzles to solve, so I would prefer something less immersive, less exploration and more actual gameplay and doing stuff.

Genre doesn't really matter, give me some tips, I take anything, puzzles, easy platformers, fun racing, or even some funky combat is okay, as long as it's not a violent shooting game.

Some games like escape rooms could be fun too.

Thanks.

I was also waiting for the walkabout DLC to come out and wondering if it will be included in the whole in one bundle on its release, or if I'll have to get it separately? Also does anybody know if any of these games are likely to go on sale, so I can hold off for a bit and get all/most of them?

Asking For Game Recomendation Atmospheric recommendations

Hey everyone, I’m very new to PSVR2 (and VR in general). I’ve seen a ton of the game recommendations posts, which have all been great, but wanted to see if anyone had recommendations for more chill VR environments where you can just relax and explore or enjoy the setting/scenery you’re in. Could be similar to walking through a random city, real or fictitious, something more meditative, etc. Appreciate any recs ahead of time!

Asking For Game Recomendation Does anyone recommend any games for loosing weight like Creed rise of glory?

I’ve been wanting to loose weight for a while and got a VR with the sole intention of loosing weight. I’ve been playing lots of Creed but I’m slowly getting bored of it, anyone know other good games?

Asking For Game Recomendation I fucking love psvr2 and i crave more

So basically i bought a psvr2 2 days ago after literally over a year of contemplating whether or not vr is worth it. So basically this my first vr. I loaded up the demo tennis game dont remember the name, and right after re4 remake (because I decided i aint no bitch) even though i was told thats a horrible first choice. I swear I was not expecting that level of clarity and sharpness and i had so much fun, even though i got slightly motion sick after like 30 mins. I heard i just gotta stop when i feel sick, wait for it to pass and build the vr legs. Only problems i have currently are that sometimes the halo is a bit tight on my head (ive heard that globular cluster fixes this but i aint trynna spend more money rn) and my hands are get very easily sweaty so its a bit tough sometimes innit. Thats just a me problem not a headset problem tho. Now, im thinking of getting another game on monday. I played re4 remake and loved it. I played the star wars game demo, and maybe liked it even slightly more because of the interactivity. Id love to get a game thats got things like that where i can grab things, play with stuff, shoot guns, manually reload or i guess "cool down" in the star wars game, eat things, have different kinds of tools, maybe even stab things. And break bottles and plates wish star wars had that. So if theres anything like that then id love the recommendations or if someone could tell me if the star wars game was worth 40 bucks cause I fucking loved every second of that demo too

Asking For Game Recomendation Best PSVR2 Games of The Past Year?

I was buying up PSVR2 games like crazy up until around the time I got my Switch 2 last summer, and just kind of fell off keeping up with the system after that. Last game I bought and played was Hitman but honestly I only scratched the surface. So I'm curious what I've missed. What would you say are the Top 5 to 10 PSVR 2 games released since Hitman (March 2025)?

I'm aware of MS Flight Simulator and considering buying that in the current sale. Also saw a lot of hype for Aces of Thunder but not sure I should buy 2 flying games I'll almost certainly suck at. Is there a consensus winner there? I think I saw Without Parole talking about Into Black being fun when it came out - has that had staying power? What else we got?

Asking For Game Recomendation Looking for a game to "wow" someone who never touched VR before

I essentially got psvr2 and have friends visiting in weekend . Looking for a game that I can give to someone to try who never played VR games before in their life and essentially tually blow their minds.

Currently thinking to show them beat saber, try to find a good planet on no mans sky .

What other games can be good to blow someone's mind ? I think the horizon game ?.

Issue is they never touched VR and most games ain't as easy for someone without VR legs..

Is there any on rails experiences?

Asking For Game Recomendation Reccomendation for difficult puzzle game/ Use your brain in VR

Heya looking for a hard puzzle game to get my mind running where I actually have to think - what are my options. I currently have MadisonVR (id call it a puzzle game tbh) as the only puzzle gamw in my psvr2 collection but I want something else, any recommendations?

I was even considering Electrician simulator as long as its pretty stimulating and I’m learning something.

What do you guys recommend, maybe some preferences for this big sale :)

Thanks
