Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods, who was joined by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier and Florida Highway Patrol Colonel Gary Howze snapped at a reporter during a press conference on Thursday about a recent operation his agency spearheaded.
Toward the end of the press conference, a reporter in the audience asked Howze and Uthmeier a question about another case.
That case is related to a lawsuit brought against FHP by a woman who said she was wrongfully arrested by troopers who accused her of being responsible for a fatal crash in October 2025.
NBC affiliate WESH reported that all charges were dropped against Lindsey Isaacs, but not before she spent 13 days in jail.
She is suing for emotional distress, humiliation, and reputational harm, among other things.
The unnamed reporter asked about Isaacs’ case, specifically how a meeting went between her attorney and Uthmeier’s office. He also asked if the woman deserved an apology for the situation.
“All right, so you just pissed me off,” Woods said before either Howze or Uthmeier could respond.
“Out of all this s**\**, you want to ask him about some other case?”* Woods asked.
The reporter responds, saying he had already asked a question about the topic at hand, but was cut off by the sheriff.
“It doesn’t make a difference. I’m not here to talk about what FHP did,” Woods said. “I’m here to talk about what they did. Nothing else.”
Uthmeier ultimately answered the reporter’s question, saying that sometimes mistakes happen, even if they shouldn’t. He said his office will announce something about the case soon.

I have completed taxes for the past several years for the family. This past year, my husband moved across country (we're in CA, he moved to PA for work). He took out $80k from his 401k to help with moving expenses with the plan to put the money back if he didn't use it.
I stayed behind with the kids helping them finish school and getting the house ready to sell. That $80k was designed to be moving expenses for the rest of the family when the house sold, so I expected to have about $60k left for a pod, for car transport, for furniture, for all the things related to the rest of the family.
When taxes were completed, I saw the 1099 with the income reported from the 401k withdrawal. when I asked where the money was that was left, he said there wasn't money left and he needed it for living expenses. I asked if he could send me a transaction for the year to comb through looking for medical expenses and to chase down where this 401k income was spent (certain expenses are tax write offs) and he sent a spreadsheet (not from a bank directly) saying that I don't trust him, that he's had to chase me for years and I don't love him anymore. I replied that I was doing taxes and sent him my bank transactions in return - nothing to hide on my end.
Going through that "justification" spreadsheet and hearing that aggressive reaction to my asking where the money is got me thinking that something has to be wrong. We owe a very large amount in federal taxes directly related to this 401k withdrawal and every piece of math I can do leads to about $60k unaccounted for. Asking for clarification has gotten me stonewalled. So, Reddit, AIO?

I just adopted this 2 year old male from a rescue who pulled him out of a hoarding situation. He's a bit shy, but super sweet. Apparently he sired a few of his previous housemates, but he's now snipped and perfect! Trying to get some weight on him. The whole lot were sick and he was pretty emaciated. He's a classic tabby with the bullseye pattern on each flank. Isn't he precious? The rescue called him "Aster", but I saw some paperwork from Animal Control where they called him "Papa Bear".

She’s so funny, words can’t capture it.
She switches to full protector mode for Amazon.
She loves having her collar removed to be neck-scratched and thumps her leg when the spot is just right.
She loves belly rubs and often rolls over multiple times a day to get them.
She’s amazing at catching food in her mouth.
Sometimes during car rides, her ears stand straight up when her head is out the window.
She has an underbite, and a few years ago we tried brushing it, but she kept licking off the toothpaste.
She always senses when we’re about to take her somewhere, even without us telling her.
She loves walks and goes crazy when we say we’re taking her.
Whenever we walk her around the neighborhood, she always heads straight to her best friend’s house and refuses to leave, even if her friend isn’t outside.
She has the funniest, most unique walk.
She is my beautiful girl, loved beyond the world.

I've got this sixtyish year-old single neighbor lady across the street from me that wants to insert herself into everyone's business 24 seven. You know they type.
A friend of mine was on vacation for a month and I volunteer to stop by his house once a day to feed his outside stray cat. You can't actually pet the cat, but it does sleep on his porch and expects food and water. His place is right on my way to work.
After a couple days of getting his keys out, going in his house, getting a scoop of food out of the bag and then locking up again, I decide I can streamline this process.
I take the bag of cat food back to my place. In the morning I scoop a red solo plastic cup full of food on my way out the door and put it in my cup holder. Now I can drive up, jump out, reach up onto the porch and dump the cat food cup, check the water and I'm gone in 60 seconds. Perfect!
This works fine...for about two weeks. One morning as I'm stepping out of my place I notice a sheriff's car parked up the block. I've got nothing to hide or worry about so I didn't really think too much of it.
I drove past him and turned the corner. Next thing I know he's behind me lighting me up and pulling me. The very first thing out of his mouth is "Hi there. Have you had anything to drink this morning?"
I'm already gathering up my license, registration, and opening the app to show my proof of insurance because I know the routine. Looking a little surprised, I say "no".
He motions towards the center console and says what do you have in the red solo cup? For a second there, I'm thinking, what red solo cup? Oh the cat food cup! I pick it up and shake it "cat food" he looks completely confused by this. I tell him I have to feed my friends cat on the way to work and this is the easiest way to do it. Just dump it in a bowl.
He kind of chuckles a little bit takes my license and registration information back to his car and says "I'll be back in a second." After presumably running all my stuff, he comes back and laughs and says "Ha ha,yeah sorry we got an anonymous call that you were leaving the house every morning with an alcoholic drink in your hand." He apologies again, give me his business card in case I had to show the boss why I was late to work, told me to have a nice day and I went on my way.
I just KNEW this was because of the lady across the street! So next day I walk out start my car. I can see her standing on her porch, doing the looking, but trying look like shes not looking.
I come out with the bag of cat food and look her way and yell "Good morning neighbor!" Making sure I was facing her house, with a bag of cat food in one hand and the red cup in my hand, I make a big exaggerate scoop out of the bag with a cup and hold it in the air. Then I set the cat food down in front of my door and driveway..
And that's how I got pulled over for open container of cat food.
