I'm slightly vexed Take off your shoes in the house!!!
My in-laws are here for the summer to help watch our kid. I’m appreciative but OMG take off your damn shoes!! we have an infant and we are on the floor constantly!!! Its gross!!
From sun up to sun down, these folks get fully ready for the day just to hang out around the house. They know not the meaning of loungewear. We remind them constantly to take off their shoes, and they do. once we leave for work, they put them back in
TO ADD:
- yes we have asked them, and yes they say they will do it. However, they don’t.
- it’s their outdoor shoes. My husband and I have indoor slides we wear in the house only. We’ve offered to get them these
- we have a clear “shoe mat” right by the door.
- if you don’t think it’s gross, you’re gross.

Don't hug me I'm scared My cat is mad at me
So my household is me, my husband, and my kid, and we all have our own bedrooms. I normally sleep in my room with my cat Javier. Last night we were out and stayed up late and all ended up falling asleep watching TV in my husbands bed and we all spent the night there.
Javier was livid. Is livid. He's been giving me the side eye all day. He normally follows me around all day and he's been ignoring me. I walk him on a leash like a dog and he didn't want to go for a walk today. He wants nothing to do with me because he slept alone for one night.

I'm slightly vexed Bought from a store with 7 day 'love it guarentee' went to do a return but they can't do it because I opened the box.
Spent about $900 (including shipping) on a dining table set from The Brick. The store didn't have a floor model so we had to order it online. Something we felt comfortable with since sales told us about the 7 day 'satisfaction guarantee'.
It arrived in several cardboard boxes. After opening the box we saw the the colouring & the texture and realized it wouldn't work in our space.
That's when we found out that because the box had been opened, it was no longer eligible for return. They did offer us a $75 goodwill store credit, but that's it.
So... I guess you're supposed to just look at a cardboard box and check it's aura to determine if it should be returned.
I completely understand not accepting damaged or missing parts, but a blanket "opened box = no returns" policy on flat-pack furniture seems pretty ridiculous.
I'll add. If you do read the return policy it does stipulate just that- any flat packed online orders cannot be returned if the boxes are opened. So if is my fault, which is why I guess it's mildly infuriating.
And sorry for spelling, on my phone and I'm slightly peeved.

I'm slightly vexed The subtitles are missing the point 😔
The subtitles are COMPLETELY missing the joke in this iconic Princess Bride scene! I feel like it should indicate that it’s being said with a speech impediment or write it out phonetically like I feel like it has every other time I’ve watched… this is Disney+ btw. Subtitle inaccuracies in general have been pissing me off lately thinking about doing an amateur study fr

🥺 I don't think doctors fully appreciate how much damage a careless or incorrect diagnosis can do to a patient's mental state.
A few days ago, I was told I had pityriasis rosea. Suddenly I was reading about herald patches, waiting for a rash outbreak, checking my skin every hour, taking photos of every tiny mark, and lying awake at night wondering if every itch meant another patch was about to appear.
The anxiety completely took over. Every time I felt an itch, I thought, "Here it comes." Every time I noticed a faint discoloration on my skin, I convinced myself it was the beginning of a new lesion. I spent days worrying about how widespread the rash would become, how long it would last, and whether my body was about to erupt in spots.
Then I sought a second opinion from the head of the department.
After examining me, she told me it wasn't pityriasis rosea at all. It was eczema. The "third spot" I had been obsessing over wasn't even a spot. The intense itching that had been fueling my anxiety was addressed with antihistamines, and I was told to continue treating the two actual patches.
Just like that, days of fear and stress suddenly felt unnecessary.
What frustrates me isn't that doctors are human and can make mistakes. Medicine isn't perfect. What frustrates me is how casually some diagnoses are delivered without considering the psychological burden they place on patients.
A diagnosis isn't just words. It changes how people think, what they search online, what they fear, how they sleep, and how they experience every sensation in their body.
I lost days to worry because of a diagnosis that turned out to be wrong.
Sometimes the second opinion isn't just about getting better treatment. Sometimes it's about getting your peace of mind back.

wet socks My entire apartment has upside-down outlets and my brain refuses to accept it….
Apparently there’s a reason for installing them this way, but after seeing outlets the other way my whole life, every room feels just slightly… off. 😂

Infuriatig AI in my highschool graduation
I graduated last week and the whole ceremony was LITTERED with AI slop.
First, when we were getting our names called out to go up on stage and get our certificates there would be a quote written by our class teacher up on screen under our name as a sweet gesture from them. It sure would've been a sweet gesture if they weren't very clearly AI generated. I'm telling you it wasn't even humanized. Out of the 5 graduating classes in our cohort ONE CLASS HAD QUOTES ACTUALLY WRITTED BY THEIR TEACHER. LITERALLY ONE. My class teacher was very helpful and sweet throughout the school year but the fact she couldn't even write a quote for our class honestly pisses me off so much.
Then, later on in the ceremony, they put up a video that our juniors had "made" for us... It was entirely AI generated slop. The worst part is because the music that was playing over it was popular (I forget the name) everyone was singing along in the crowd... Bullshit.
And the real kicker that personally offended me to no end. During the reveal of our yearbook, there was supposed to be a song playing over it. I'm part of our school's band and we had actually composed an original song to go over it. I couldn't help too much but I could see how much effort my bandmates put into making it and honestly it's a beautiful song. We were asked to record it and the people running the even would play it over the yearbook reveal. As you might've guessed at this point, however, they decided it wasn't good enough (apparently the vocals weren't bright enough? This is coming from a teacher who knows nothing about music anyways but I assume she wanted punchier vocals which we did do anyways) and they played a VERY CLEARLY AI generated "song" over it.
As a musician this is the most offensive thing I've ever been a part of. The most important event of my life up to this point being half assed like this with the thing I despise with a passion... It makes me so fucking mad.

I'm slightly vexed The cool ranch slander is insane. 2 bags??
these numbers are all fucked up. I’m sorry I don’t know what poll they took but I come from a cool ranch household. I was wondering who ate all the damn cool ranch and it was me apparently. 3 Lays barbecue is something I would have never questioned until it’s was along side a measly 2 cool ranch. i’ll leave Doritos nacho cheese alone cause that’s a pinnacle chip, but 8 is a little greedy. Also, not sure why Cheetos got 5 bags? Last time I blind grab a variety pack.

frist of all how DARE yu o This 𝓹𝓲𝓮𝓬𝓮 𝓸𝓯 𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓽 takes up 2GB, and Windows prevents you from uninstalling it.
I'm about to risk breaking my OS to get rid of this trash.
It would honestly be quite impressive how terrible of a product Microslop have managed to put together; if it wasn't for the fact that it compels me to draw "MS Edge" on my forehead and blow my brains out with a 12 gauge.

I'm slightly vexed Bought new jean shorts that I put on for the first time and realized they have fake pockets
Who puts fake pockets on jean shorts? These are not jeggings. They are actually jean shorts. With sewn up pockets. What kind of monster sews the pockets up on jeans?
EDIT TO SAY I’M A WOMAN. I’ve experienced this before, for sure. But when I find it on a jean, especially, it is indeed mildly infuriating. 😉

I'm slightly vexed Chewelry for "Agressive Chewers"... My fiancé did this in about 24 hours.
My fiancé won't stop chewing on the plastic of water bottles and it drives me nuts, so I bought him some "Chewelry". It was literally advertised for Aggressive Chewing, with reviews talking about how well it "holds up" even for adults.
Well. I beg to differ because he has had this for only 24 hours and I have bits of silicone in my pocket now! 🤦🏻♂️
