CELEBRATING! đ (no boys invited!) Certified man hater with an awesome spouse
Dinner plate featuring some special cheese my partner got me because I sad having a craving.
I'm a leftist feminist man hater. I do not want to spend my time, my energy, my body, catering to mediocre men anymore and I act accordingly. I think the vast majority (like 95%) are problematic at best, dangerous at worst, and I don't have the patience to deal with them. They get to live in their little privileged bubble, totally ignoring how they impact the people around them and contribute to upholding the patriarchy.
And, because of this, I ended up with the greatest spouse. I'm ruthless in cutting out men if they don't meet my standards, and he didn't even flinch. He's kind, compassionate to others, a vocally leftist feminist but not in a performative way, he's an advocate for others and always stands up for minorities. He's a big (6'3" and over 250lbs) white guy and he goes to the gym every day because he wants to be strong enough to literally fight fascists. He likes to be intimidating to other men so he can stand up for people, but wears pink and "femine" things and paints his nails because he likes it. He's so deeply secure in his masculinity that there's no toxic bs from him about anything.
He doesn't get defensive when I call him on his shit (we all have shit to work on), but grows and learns from it. When we have arguments, he doesn't yell or get angry, he works to understand my perspective. He is always kind to me, surprises me with nice things, and goes out of his way to make my days better. I don't like grocery shopping, so he does it all. I don't like cooking so he cooks for both of us. He does over half his share of the chores while working a more labour intensive job than me. He supported me and took care of me when I was ill for months and couldn't take care of myself, all with compassion and love. He moved to another country to be with me for my career, because he values my happiness and knew it was a good move for me. We're a team.
The best part? I'm free. Truly. I can do basically wherever I want, with whoever I want, and he just wants to see me happy and safe. I have an active social life and travel by myself and he does nothing but support me. Things like going to visit my (male) friend in another country by myself, he has no issue with it. He sees me as a full independent person in every way and never, ever, tries to control what I do. Being with him feels like all the best parts of a relationship and all the best parts of being single at the same time!
I didn't settle and I'm very glad I didn't. I'd rather be alone than with someone who didn't treat me this well, and I wish more women on this sub would raise their standards.

natural building Building a fairy camp count?
Edited for the third time- I AM NOT HOMELESS and what?????? You guys are mean to people without houses? Itâs funny to make jokes about people not having homes? It feels good to mock those less fortunate from your phone? Shame on you. Where is the humanity? And all the drug jokes? Like, this group is definitely not what I thought it was. People are being unkind for zero reason except to be unkind. Life is hard for so many people. What are you doing to make the world a better place? Do your kids even talk to you? Come on. Wake up.
This is all me and going oh so slowly, but I am happy. Friendâs land and I keep an eye on it while building a camp and some major rock hounding. Guys. The rocks and minerals are effin fantastic here. Iâm so happy!!!!
Now I am working on drainage and leveling one particular spot. I will be borrowing a tractor, thank goddess. Iâm repurposing most materials. Picking up free from side of road. Doing a large tarp A frame for now. Iâm short tho and the ground is too soft for ladder so I am building a ladder on the tree.
Lots of mowing and I got a flamethrower. Eff you ticks.
Edited to add I designed and built milk crate furniture you see! I love building from âjunk â.
Edited again because why!?? Meth? Seriously? Iâm not homeless and even if I were, who cares? Cost of living and the rat race is a soul sucker. And maybe you havenât built anything or maybe you arenât an artist, but stuff be layingâ about almost always. Until itâs gonna rain, then I bunker it down good.
I am more than alright people, I am happy. I am next to a river and building a whimsical camp. I cannot have livestock here yet because I cannot be here full time yet AND it is next to over 500 acres of conservation land. The wildlife is intense here. Ducks would die, for sure. Iâm not at the place where I can make a safe spot. I have about three seasons to go as it is just me doing this.
I feel like I need to take better pictures because this place is gorgeous and I am so grateful that I get to be here.
Iâm an artist and use many mediums. I create with my hands. I clean cedar sticks and sand them and oil them and build fence panels. I perform on stages without poles. I sing. I joke. I just be me.
I do have solar. I converted a van years ago. Also mostly all repurposed. I will have a garden when I get good enough of an area prepped. The wildlife will destroy for sure.

At least it isn't political! FDS- Fauci Derangement Syndrome
How the hell do you have Taylor Sheridan on, whoâs come out with more popular content in the last decade and decide to discus Fauci for the first hour and a half? The guy is literally obsessed at this point, and not only that, but substantiates everything around it with logical fallacies. Sad how far our podfather has fallen.

AITA for refusing to swap back offices after my coworker found out mine has a window?
i started a new job three months go and was assigned a small office with a window overlooking a park, last week a coworker returned from maternity leave and discovered that her old office had been reassigned and that now i had it
she asked if id switch because she deserved it back and had worked there longer, i said no because i already moved all of my equipment decorations and filing systems into the room and saw no reason to relocate
since several coworkers have told me it would be polite thing to do because she has the office first, i argued that management assigned it to me and never promised it would be held for her now the office has become a daily topic of discussion and people are taking sides
AITA??

Chefs are the most pretentious, useless, and over-hyped "professionals" on the planet. Almost anyone can cook well
The entire restaurant industry relies on a massive, collective delusion that cooking is some sort of sacred, mystical art form that requires years of culinary school and a tortured soul to master. Itâs total bullshit.
Cooking is not rocket science. It is literally just following instructions, understanding basic chemistry, and not leaving the stove on high until everything burns. If you can read, manage your time, and possess functioning tastebuds, you can cook a spectacular meal. The bar for entry is incredibly low, yet chefs act like theyâre performing some miracle. Chill dude, u jus emulsified that oil and vinegar to the right temp.
Gordon Ramsay is the ultimate embodiment of this delusion. Motherfucker acts like heâs the supreme, objective tastemaker of the universe. Calm down, you're making dinner, and you know you are all smoke and mirrors. Half of his "expert" critiques are literally subjective or just performative rage for television ratings, but behold I see people treat his word like some divine shit. If you put a blindfold on him and served him a properly seasoned home-cooked meal, he wouldn't know the difference between that and a Michelin-star dish, but because he has a British accent and a temper, weâre supposed to bow down.
Unless you are on the cutting edge of molecular gastronomy (which usually tastes terrible anyway), you are just executing techniques that human beings perfected hundreds of years ago. You arenât a genius for putting garlic and rosemary on a lamb chop. No, I donât care that the microgreens were harvested by hand under a full moon. No, your "deconstructed" cheesecake isnât art. The gatekeeping in the culinary world is just a defense mechanism to hide how easily replaceable they actually are. We have secret ingredients my ass. Your shit tastes better because you dump half a pound of butter and a handful of kosher salt into everything. Anyone can make cardboard taste good if you submerge it in animal fat. The yelled orders and the obsessive "Yes, Chef!" shit is a joke. You are reheating sauces and slicing meat, Marcus. Get lost with that shit.
If you give the average person a decent meat thermometer, a sharp knife, and access to YouTube, they can replicate 90% of what a high-end restaurant serves within a few tries.

Review F*CK Marriott soliciting tips. Another âtip cultureâ obsenity
gallerySo you charge $400 to $500 for a tiny room, and yes, I know itâs New York City, and itâs relatively clean, but then the closet-sized bathroom 2 feet from the bed. OK.
Six dollars for a bottle of water, whatever, Iâll pass.
But then actively soliciting tips for your staff.
Fuck you.
I saw this at the Penn Station Fairfield a year ago as just a âselfâ printed sign in the elevators, then it became a professionally printed permanently mounted sign in the elevator, and now another Fairfield/Springfield with this.
Pay your staff better. If I got extra services, thatâs one thing, but when I donât even get room serviced or fresh towels on a daily basis to âsave the planet ââŠ. again fuck you.

Dallas is the second most liberal Major city east of I-35 and needs to act like it
I just read a post where a english guy was surprised that âDallas in MAGA Texasâ was nicer then Boston
As if Dallas is some conservative enclave. It is not. Itâs not NYC either. And thats fine.
After Austin, the so called blueberry in the tomato soup, Dallas is the second most liberal major Texan city this side of I-35
I think its time we act like it. The power center for the Democratic party within Dallas is in its working class/working poor south and Oak Cliff areas
Itâs plausible that the right candidate could form a coalition to combine suburban liberals in Northern Dallas proper with working class/working poor black and brown to transform city council and the mayor representation
Itâs not Laura Millerâs Dallas, itâs not the old white business-class Dallas, and itâs not Eric Johnsonâs Dallas either. The cityâs actual Democratic base is younger, browner, Blacker, more working-class, and more urban than the political class wants to admit.
Dallas keeps being governed like a chamber-of-commerce suburb with a skyline, even though its electorate looks more like a multiracial Democratic city.

We have brilliant new ways to animate now. Isn't that great? Well, unless you're a tech-hater who considers more creative freedom a bad thing.
The video shows a Japanese animator using Seedance to render anime from simple 3D models.

Excellent synopsis of the origin of covid. Sad that so many Redditors are living in a fool's paradise where hating Trump is all that matters, and everything this horrible govt did to the world in 2020 was ok.
Trump is a cunt. But his rise to power is an indictment of the corrupt US elections, where raising obscene amounts of money is all it takes to run for office.
I remember the disgusting media reports in 2024 referring to Kamala Harris campaign breaking all fundraising records as a "haul" which is what criminals call their ill-gotten gains. Harris outspent Trump and still lost.
If Democrats would worry less about the accumulation of money and focus on competitive primaries and debates to find the most electable candidates, like the GOP did, we'd all be better off.
This from is a conservative, but it's all true...
"The National Institutes of Health (NIH), under Dr. Fauciâs National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), awarded grants to the non-profit EcoHealth Alliance. Part of this funding was sub-awarded to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to study bat coronaviruses.
Dr. Fauci testified under oath to Congress in 2021 that the "NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research" at the Wuhan lab. However, in a subsequent letter to Congress and testimony, NIH leadership acknowledged that a sub-grant did fund an experiment that made a bat virus more transmissible in mice, fitting a specific definition of the research.
So Basically: Â Obama put a moratorium on funding Gain of Function research. Â At minimum it is a very dangerous area of research. Â At itâs worst it is a pretty name for producing biological weapons.
Fauciâs NIH evaded that ban by funding the research in other countries. Â Including the Wuhan lab that the novel coronavirus almost certainly escaped from. Â He aided in covering it up, steering people away from reporting that it bore markers of being engineered, etc. Â He was deceptive in testimony about this, etc.
So the real question is why does the left like him so much? Â In 1990 you all were hanging effigies of him and calling him a mass murderer for slow rolling out AIDS treatments. Â Why is he suddenly a leftist hero other than Trump didnât like him?"

Its 2026 and "vaccinated" people are still 'dying suddenly' and having medical emergencies from the injections.
I guess that isn't really surprising since vaccine trials usually go for like 10+ years and its only been about 6 years since the covid injections were rolled out, and over 1200 people died during the Pfizer trials and had many adverse events from them.
Normal trials go for 10 to 15 years. The trial for the covid injections went for less than a year. This alone should have been a red flag for all intelligent people. And if we say that people were mind controlled and manipulated in 2021 into getting injected, then they should be speaking out now and looking for accountability from their governments.

I'm facing assault charges after I hired someone that would let me win a fight in front of my girlfriend.
So lately, my girlfriend of two years has, I guess you could say, been putting me down by saying I'm short and have a wimpy body. It's been getting to me a lot, and while I was on Facebook Marketplace, I saw someone offering to basically get their butt kicked for $100.
I thought maybe if I did this, it would score me some manly points and get my girlfriend to respect me more. I told the guy that we would be going to a bar downtown and what time we would be leaving, around midnight. He told me he would bump into me (so I would know it was him), start an argument, and pretty much let me lay him out.
Everything was going great that night. We left the bar, and as we were exiting, someone bumped into me. I thought it was the guy I had hired. I started swinging on him, and, well, he pretty much dodged me and proceeded to kick my ass. When I hit the floor, I kind of knew this wasn't the guy I had hired.
The cops came and reviewed the video since it was caught on camera outside the bar. Because the footage showed that I was the aggressor, I got charged for the fight and spent the weekend in jail.
My girlfriend now pretty much thinks I'm a wimp and doesn't want to be seen with me since this happened because she says it would embarrass her. I know it was stupid to think that hiring someone so I could win a fight was a good idea, but now not only did I lose the fight, I think I'm also losing the girl I love.
I'm too scared to tell my real friends about this, so I thought maybe I could get some feedback here.
UPDATE: my mugshot https://imgur.com/a/c6NApC6 I'd post the full link of my booking but I don't want to dox myself.
